Good colors, many inputs.
Monitor arrived without a single stuck/dead pixel and was so bright I could feel the heat from several feet away. Brightness comes from the factory set to 100, setting to 50 seems fine for most apps but any white screen/text viewing could even benefit from lowering the brightness to zero.
So far the main headache(and I mean that literally) was the viewing angle. I found that sitting with my eyes positioned in the center of the monitor the top 1/3 of the would wash out in dark screens while playing certain games. I could correct this by positioning myself higher and later by adjusting the gamma settings for my video card. The reverse effect does not happen to the bottom of the screen while playing games if you position yourself above the monitor. Neither would it happen while browsing the internet or watching movies while sitting in a normal position, eyes center of the screen.
Read your warranty and ask Viewsonic before purchasing.......2007-12-20
If you plan on purchasing a viewsonic monitor, be advised. Viewsonic does not warranty their product if you clean it with any non approved cleaning substances. Viewsonic, according to customer service representatives, do not currently have ANY approved cleaning products, and do not recommend touching your screen in any manner for cleaning or color calibration. Touching your screen in anyway constitutes abuse and voids your warranty as customer damage. Viewsonic also does not recommend using ANY color calibration devices on your monitor, as it constitutes customer abuse and is not covered under warranty. I write this because I had a view sonic monitor, calibrated it, and cleaned the "recommended way" and the anti glare coating started pealing off. Even though the products website said it was approved by Viewsonic. Viewsonic said tough it is not our problem that you damaged you monitor, you voided your warranty by cleaning it. I share this as a warning. the monitor was good while it lasted the first month.

This monitor arrived BROKEN out of the box. The sellers ad said "new in box"
The box the monter arived in was un-damaged. The unit inside the box was un-damaged
The box had all of the right cables except the power cable had white paint spots
on it. Some one went to a lot of trouble to make this look like new, all the cables were in
plastic but the plastic was used beafore. The box was not the manufacter's box. it was packed well
but not in the manufacture's originl box. After the unit was on for 45:00 min. the screan would
wash out. This unit was sold to me broken, the seller knew that it was not
right and shipped it anyway. XQ%E@&*%

For the price, you can't beat it. I first purchased one a few months back for the office (use it for meetings). Loved it so much I purchased another for home.

5 stars for Viewsonic VX2835wm. I purchased this LCD Monitor a month ago. It has changed my life, the air is cleaner, the sky is bluer, food tastes better etc. Back to other facts, the monitor is awesome for general computer use such as web surfing, word processing etc. The quality of the unit shines at gameplaying. The colors of vivid, clear and rich. The 3ms refresh rate is great, even in fast action crowded scenes (currently playing Guild Wars Nightfall) there is no blurring or other hiccups. The price of this unit is great. I priced it at several online sources but they all wanted $70-$90 to ship it. Amazon's price was near the lowest price available but the kicker was FREE shipping becuase the unit qualifies for Amazon Prime. Get one and feel the cleaner, bluer sky, it will make your life better!!!!

the LCD industry has several mounting standards. Vesa is most common The LCD I bought (Polaroid 37") is NOT VESA standard and the articulating wall mount i bought is. This adapter is precisely what I needed and this was the best price I could find. It cost as much as the articulating mount itself and that's a real disappointment.
