Works well.......2007-12-24
After reading other reviews on this unit I decided not to rely on the included Screws and went down to Home Depot for some others.
The hardest part was deciding where to install this - even with the bike pulled up to the ceiling it's not completely out of the way.
Installation was pretty easy tho and the bike stays up and secure!
Buy your own screws & you're good to go...! :)
The bike has not moved since I attached it to my ceiling........2007-12-19
I needed to find a piece of wood to attach the rack to and attach that to my ceiling. Then I had to hammer the hooks so that the seat would not fall off half way to the roof. Since it was hairy getting the darned thing up I haven't had the guts to take it down. My poor bike has cobwebs! I wouldn't recommend this product.
Works as expected.......2007-12-14
Everything was great. Easy instructions, I just mounted the brackets to a piece of wood and then the wood to the ceiling beams. Now my 10yo daughter can easily put her own bike up and down.
Great deal and works good.......2007-12-07
The kit worked as advertised and does hold up to 50 lbs. easily. I used it to hang my cartop carrier upside down using a pair of dowels and it has been holding strong for about a month now. I've lowered and raised it a couple of times and have not had any problems with the hardare. I would definitely recommend it if you need to store something up and out of the way and don't want to spend a lot of money.
Great Solution on the Cheap.......2007-12-03
This is a great solution to today's small garage woes. We have just enought room in our garage for two vehicles and very little else. I purchased 4 of these lifts to hoist our 2 bikes as well as 2 ladders.
Installation was a snap and the hoist workes exceptionally for bicycles. I did not have any of the frayed rope problems I have seen in other posts. This system is not ideal for ladders, however. Although the hoist works fine, it is not quite as easy to use for ladders. You have to kind of help the ladders along as you are pulling them up. Other than this, the product worked great - and it's pretty hard to beat the $20 price tag!

Turn the Ringer Off...
Don't miss important calls when the ringer is off. The Light-Up Indicator at the base of the antenna will flash quickly to show that you have an incoming call, and it will flash slowly to let you know you have a new message in your voice mailbox
1. You can also choose up to three different light-up indicator colors to link to your pre-programmed phonebook data. Light-Up ID
1 requires corresponding Caller ID information to be received from an incoming call.
...Or Keep the Ringer On
With Ringer ID
1, you can choose from a downloaded or selectable ringer to link to your pre-programmed phonebook data, which also requires corresponding Caller ID information to be received from an incoming call.

See Who's Calling, Even If You're Already on the Phone
We've all become accustomed to Caller ID and its ability to let us see who's calling before we answer the phone. But what happens when you're already on the phone and another call comes in on Call Waiting? Until now, you wouldn't know who was beeping in unless you answered it. With Call Waiting Caller ID
1, you get the best of both worlds. So now when you get a beep, you can see who's calling before you answer

Great investment!.......2007-12-27
My wife and I love this phone. It gets great reception and is user friendly. It is the best cordless phone that we've had yet.
Works as it should.......2007-12-26
Bought this to replace an earlier Panasonic 2.4 ghz cordless phone that lasted me for years but was getting a little long in the tooth.
This phone works exactly as you'd hope, and expect, which is a good thing. Battery life is good and signal is clear, no wireless network interference and no antennas to mess with as with most 2.4 ghz models. And if you've used a Panasonic cordless before, the menu and controls will basically be familiar.
The one thing its missing, and the reason I can't give five stars is that the keypad on the handsets do not light up to help with use in the dark. An easy feature to provide and one that my original Panasonic cordless had. Not sure why Panasonic decided to go backwards in this regard.
Very pleased with this phone.......2007-12-24
This set replaces a 5+ year old Panasonic phone that was on it's last legs.
We are very happy with the phones - they look nice and stylish, have great features and conversations are clear (and we're using VOIP over a DSL line that isn't the fastest).
I'd recommend this in a heartbeat!
Goood quality phone.......2007-12-16
Very good quality phone. what is missing is:
1. Does not announce the caller
2. Base has no speakerphone
I wouldn't recommend this phone to anyone........2007-12-11
This phone has no interference with wireless internet. But besides that I think it stinks. Even if you don't have a message there is a bright light on the handset even when it is on the hook. That sucks to try to sleep with. The Caller ID is the worst design I could think of. You can't look at it when you are making a call like if you have to look up a number half way through dialing. No dice. Not bad to just talk on but as far as extra features it's terrible.

Customer Reviews:
battery issues.......2007-12-22
At first Audiovox had incorrect information as to spare battery for unit. After shipping me 2 wrong ones, ( I was allowed to return)it was determined the correct ones were due in from overseas the following month. I was traveling and wanted for trip, did not work out. I bought generic battery at local electronics store, just a lot heavier and awkward to travel with.
Great for Traveling with Kids!.......2007-12-19
I purchased this DVD player for a plane trip with my 10 month old son (to play Baby Einstein & keep the peace on our first flight). The player worked wonderfully, I had no problems charging the battery or playing any of the DVDs I brought along. The player lasted the entire flight (which was appx 4 hours) without any issues. I loved the fact that everything fit into the included carry case and I'm excited to use the car kit in a few months and see how it works out. It is an excellent player--especially with all the extra items included--for the price. The sound quality was fine; I was a little worried about the sound after reading some of the reviews, but personally found no problems with it whatsoever. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend. I look forward to using this for a long time to come!
Picture is great...sound poor only without the headsets.......2007-12-18
This was our first portable DVD player. My son liked it a lot, but the headsets made his ears sweat. He preferred to listen to the video's without the headsets and even with the sound turned all the way up, it was still difficult to hear over the typical road noise. The only other thing negative I can think about saying about this product is the difficulty changing the disc's. the strap that kept the player in place against the backseat of our car made it difficult to change the discs without juggling the whole machine. I don't know if that is typical of all portable DVD players, but I found it difficult to handle with this model. Other than those two negatives, I thought it was a good quality player. The major plus for this is the size of the whole unit. It is even smaller than my regular purse! That alone made this player a great purchase for our family.
Great portable DVD Player.......2007-12-17
This DVD player was a life-saver for our plane ride across the country. Our little one at least was occupied for a few hours watching her movie. The headphones were a little big for her head, (so we just played it w/out the headphones and it was fine - even on the plane), but they were comfortable for me. I haven't had a chance to use it in the car so I can't tell you anything about how that goes but it is mountable to a backseat I believe. I've hooked it up regular tv and it works awesome too.
Perfect package for younger viewers.......2007-11-26
If you're searching for a portable DVD player for your own use (or another person over the age of, say, 6), this is not the player you're looking for. Instead, take a look at the Philips PET1030 10.2" Portable DVD Player with Car Mount Kit and comparable units. For the rest of us--those who need a reliable player for trips with the younger kids--this is a solid purchase.
I demand the very best audio and video quality that I can afford. My three year old, on the other hand, could care less whether a display is 1080p or 108p. As long as her DVDs are edu-taining her, she's happy.
The picture on this unit won't impress you. My test viewing of Pirates of the Caribbean was laughable--no matter how I tweaked the video settings (brightness/contrast/sharpness/hue), I couldn't trick a decent picture from the low-res display. However, the type of programming a pre-6 year old watches, such as animated shows and Sesame Street programs, looks quite good.
The package includes everything you need for the road. On our first road trip--a ten-hour roundtrip weekend getaway--we needed every included accessory and nothing more. In the car, the soft carrying case easily attached to the headrest, providing a nice viewing area at eye-level with my child. The car adapter has a lengthy cord that can reach an outlet in the front console. The inclusion of two sets of headphones came in handy--Mom and daughter watched a DVD together while I enjoyed NPR's Sunday line-up. The remote control is another great feature--instead of reaching back to forward to the next chapter, I used the remote from the front seat to find the section my daughter wanted to watch.
All in all, its a no fuss, full-featured portable DVD package perfectly suited for the younger set. And let's face it--any electronic gadget in the vicinity of a child is in constant danger from a spill from a juicebox or a fall from tiny hands. Best if the loss of your investment doesn't make you cry, too.

Great buy I love it ........2007-12-13
I love this toy it is great for outdoors and long trips you will enjoy it
Great unit for airplane travel.......2007-11-12
We purchased this unit for airplane travel for my 4-year-old son. I chose this unit because the screen pivots forward which allows the unit to sit on the small table in front of you without having to be close to the forward edge. It also has the added benefit of being out of the way when the person in the seat in front of you decides to recline the seat.
The picture is clear and crisp, and there was plenty of volume for two headsets. The 6-hour rated battery was able to power the unit thru two full length feature movies.
I wish my parents had one of these when I was a child...
Fun Little Machine.......2007-11-10
I love this DVD player. The only complaint is difficulty hearing it well. I need to get better headphones for the car because it's really hard to hear while my husband is driving with country music on!
What fun to spend hours watching the next season of 24 while traveling. The trip sure goes fast (for one of us:) I researched for months. I love the screen being able to tilt without the base moving. That really helps with different lighting. It also feels sturdy. Some others seemed flimsy. Great little machine. I also love Amazon and free shipping!
Disappointed!.......2007-11-09
After a thorough reserach on portable DVD players, I bought the Panasonic DVD-LS80 primarily because they have pretty good reviews. Was pretty impressed with the picture quality and the anti-skip protection. A remote control could have been a good addition, especialy for the price.
The regretful decision to purchase this DVD player however came when the audio speakers gave up on me...it just went "dead" and i was forced to use headphones all the time in order to use the player which was a major inconvenience. Also, as was pointed out in the other reviews, you don't get 6hours of battery life as promised, more like 3hours.
Good picture - not enough battery.......2007-11-08
The form factor, weight and user interface are excellent. The ability to position the screen directly over the machine makes it more enjoyable to watch sitting in coach on United even when the passenger in front of me reclines their seat. Biggest complaint: the battery wouldn't play a whole 2-hour movie. Very dissapointing.

Customer Reviews:
Panasonic does it again.......2007-12-27
The Panasonic 6074 had the features I wanted with a brand name I trust. In particular, the talking caller ID allows us to keep about our activities without having to look at a display to read that it is yet another telemarketer. The intercom feature is a bit unusual in that I have to select a particular handset to call rather than simply ringing all handsets to locate a person. I suppose that would be more appropriate if a phone were in a particular bedroom, etc.
Sound quality is good, and the speakerphone function is better than expected. I dare suggest Panasonic has caught up to AT&T sound quality, and in my opinion have always exceeded them in reliability.
a great household unit.......2007-12-26
Bought the KX-TG6074B as a replacement for our V-Tech system, which lasted only just over a year! The Panasonic seems to be of quite good quality - feels solid, charges easily, and is pretty straightforward to use. The speakerphone capability in each handset is actually quite handy as well. Very happy with purchase.
Nice features........2007-12-26
We especially like the speakerphone feature. We could all chat together over the holidays, rather than have to run to different rooms to pick up the extensions. The intercom is also a neat feature. A great way to call the kids for dinner, or if you have to ask a question. We like the voice caller ID. I can ignore the phone and let the kids pick up when their friends call.
Decent set for the price.......2007-12-24
Tired of our other phones from Siemens (interference with the microwave, charging problems, etc.) we bought this set as a replacement. Overall a decent bargain and would recommend it at a good price.
4 phone set works great.......2007-12-24
I have a 2-story house , and there was no problem with static,
or range problems. All 4 phone are identically free of static, and they all can receive (read) the messages. Intercom feature works well too. These phones are great in every way that we use them .

DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER!!!.......2007-12-19
Do not buy this printer. I bought one. Used it for twenty minutes. Then it began to illicit a "Service Error 5110" code. This is a mechanical failure that Canon knows about (judging by how fast it took their phone support guy to identify it as such). My recourse? Take it to an authorized service rep twenty miles away and wait for God knows how long for them to fix it. (It is brand new. I used it to print 8 photos.)
Or accept a factory reconditioned unit from Canon.
I want my money back. I bought this through Amazon. I want my money back NOW!!!
Do not buy this printer.
Canon Pro 9000 ink-jet printer.......2007-12-18
The Canon Pro 9000 has surpassed my expectations in both print and build quality. I bought the printer because my camera club has the previous model, the Canon i9900, which is also a great printer. The ink usage is excellent. I have printed about 8-11X14, 10-8X10, 6-4X6 prints. The Photo Cyan is about 3/4 empty, the Photo Magenta is 1/4 empty, and all other 6 cartridges are full--not bad at all. This printer is highly recommended.
Fantastic printer!.......2007-12-16
I use a digital SLR, Photoshop & Painter X to manipulate my photography. I have been very underwhelmed by the various online print services. The last large print I received was the last straw. Now was the time to take the plunge to buy a printer. I did my homework and decided, with the rebate Canon was offering, this was the printer for me. I have been blown away by the prints I have been producing. I had no idea inkjet printing had advanced so far. The prints I have produced with the Pro9000 are by far superior to the online printers. I have been using the different Canon papers and can only say I love this printer and so far, have no regrets.
Caution for Canon printers and Mac OS X.......2007-12-05
I would suggest caution for anyone thinking about a Canon printer or multifunction printer for use with a Mac and OS X. For weeks Canon has had a notice that you can't select and download drivers using Safari on OS X. They suggest the use of the newest version of Firefox, which will select but not actually download the current driver for an S900 (and I suspect any other printer). I had the same problem with a driver for a multifunction device, both of which work with OS X. The drivers are listed, but cannot be properly selected and downloaded.
I have had three MacBooks in the past weeks that I was trying to update, and have wasted considerable time on this issue. I resorted to using a PC in one case, and transferring the files. That Canon driver installation hung a MacBook using 10.4.10, with a loss of mail files and folders, and two hours of recovery. The driver later installed, so it was not a case of a download-corrupted file.
I am strongly considering replacing both Canon devices, despite their having worked in the past with Macs.
Canon Pixma Pro9000 is awesome.......2007-11-30
I bought the Canon Pro9000 to replace my large format Epson 1270 that I've had for years. I have to admit that there were issues with the Epson printer regarding inks, paper and color shift to the magenta side that were trying at times. So I had adjust my photos in Photoshop to compensate for this. When I fired up the Canon and chose an image that I had printed on the Epson, it printed out perfectly the first time without any adjustments and the color was just what I wanted from the photo. This printer is awesome. Canon Pixma Pro9000 Professional Large Format Inkjet Printer (9995A001)

Panasonic Perfect.......2007-12-23
Was impressed with the many features incorporated in this nice small size cordless phone -- especially the speaker phone feature.
KCX-TG6031M - Great Phone.......2007-12-18
I've had good experience with Panasonic phones in the past. The Oct 2007 Consumer Reports issue rated this phone #3 behind a more costlier Uniden and an AT&T 5.8/2.4 GHZ model. It has great voice quality both hearing and talking, easy to use settings and display, and I especially like the adjustable ringer and volume controls.
The Panasonic KXT-TG6021M is big bang for the bucks! If you're looking for a excellent basic phone (no base speaker phone, no lighted keypad, no VM features) but has conferencing and speaker phone in the hand set, buy this model. Warranty is a year but for a under $40 phone, who cares.
Fine........2007-12-18
We got the phone because our old cheap phone had bad reception, given the wireless set up we had and our using Vonage. This phone has all the bells and whistles we need, and the reception is noticeably better. Nothing fancy, but fine.
Good value for money.......2007-12-17
I bought this phone to supplement an earlier model Panasonic 2.4GHz phone. Both phones are operating on separate phone lines, so it's easy to compare them.
Compared to the previous model, this one cost very much less. Unfortunately, it also feels less well built. It's bigger, has less rounded edges and is much warmer after picking it up from the charging cradle.
Other cons compared to the earlier model:
- the keypad is not lighted. this may not seem like a big deal, but if you have used the feature before, it's nice to have.
- the green LED at the top of the phone never turns off and is bright at night
- There are no speed dials. Which means, you cannot press-and-hold digits 1-9 to dial a preset number. This one was a disappointment.
- There is no way to turn off the handset. With the earlier Panasonic, you could press-and-hold the power button to turn off the handset. When going on vacation, I usually turn off the power strip to all the phone and charging gadgets. This means having to take out the battery on the receiver so that we didn't return home to a flat battery.
I live in a region that uses 230V instead of 110V. I had a spare 9V universal power supply that I used initially. However, there was a strong buzzing signal that was clearly audible both at my end and also the recipient. It was hard to track it down to the power supply. Turns out that the phone is senstive to a switching supply. When I changed to a transformer based adaptor, the sound signal was ok.
I would buy the phone again, simply for it's good value.
It has the usual clear Pansonic cordless sound quality.

Let's just say I love my home-theater system. That said, I hate all those remote controls. There's one for TV, one for the sound system, one for the DVD recorder, one for my old VCR, and one for cable-TV. Sometimes it's a frustrating challenge to figure out which is which. What a pain! A new Sony Remote Control comes to the rescue! Exciting and convenient, the RM-VL600 controls up to 8 components, and with the One-touch system control, synchronizing operational status on remote and alternate components is done with ease. Also a Learning function for programming from other remotes. Being in the driver's seat of your living room sofa is made easy with the RM-VL600 Remote Control from Sony. Uses 2 AA Alkaline Batteries for up to 1-year operation Dual beem for longer distance Memory back-up DVD menu Picture in Picture PIP control where applicable

Good remote for the money.......2007-12-18
Works as advertised and easy to program. Great for consolidating multiple remotes into one for use with a home theater system.
What a pleasure.......2007-12-17
This is terrific. It hardly worked right with any of my devices just by entering the code, but once programmed with its learning capability (which is VERY simple to do) it works like a charm and controls everything, even the most obscure functions. Just terrific. Don't pay 5 times the price for something that will do no more that this. My only complaint is that it is not backlit, which means you have to navigate by touch in the darkness.
Oh, I forgot to add that Amazon's price is terrific too.
Great moderately priced remote.......2007-12-14
This remote is perfect for my system. It is a step up from the similarly priced One for All remote we had before. We just have a TV, VCR, DVD player, and 5.1 Surround System, and this remote handles all of the functions very well. It is extremely easy to program, the learning function works well, and the remote feels very nice in your hand (it feels solid).
Great remote for the price.......2007-12-11
Not only are all your remotes reduced to one, all that previous button pushing is history, too. The 'learning' function is a snap to figure out. Here's my 'time for bed' example: one press of a system control button turns off the TV and DVD player, turns on the satellite receiver, tunes into preferred satellite station, tunes amp to satellite band and selects amp sleep mode. Nighty-night!
Ergonomically, it could benefit from a more rounded base; it would be more comfortable to hold. Aside from that minor quibble this remote is a very good bargain.
It just works!.......2007-12-06
This remote is able to operate all my components, from an old 1989 TV to a new mini Hi-Fi system and all of its components. I also tried an RCA remote, but that didn't operate several of my components, plus it had sharper edges than the Sony. This remote is also very easy to program.

TV.......2007-12-26
Although it took my husband 2 days to install it the result was great. I love it! Picture & sound are very good.
Sent mine back to Amazon........2007-12-13
Even if mine had worked properly (it didn't) I probably would have still sent it back.
1) Video from the latest iPod models will not display on the LCD screen.
2) The unit protrudes too far from the cabinet if you leave room for the cable connection. My cabinets are standard 12 inches deep and the TV protrudes more than two inches. If your cabinets are deeper this won't be a problem for you.
3) Cheap plastic look and feel. For almost $400 it should be sturdier.
Mine was also defective - one of the speakers didn't work. However, it's very easy to return to Amazon so I would give Amazon 5 stars for customer service.
Be aware of Apple's change.......2007-12-07
The DCD778 has performed adequately. The most important thing you should know is that the dock in this unit is NOT compatible with the new 3G iPod Nano (w/video) or new iPod Classic (also w/video). Apple apparently has changed the output port configuration and video will not be passed to the LCD screen of this unit. Apple's solution is to purchase a $50 cable and pump in the video into the composite and audio ports on the back. Not a very elegant solution.
Installation was mostly problem free although the template could have been more descriptive (just assume the outline of the unit is accurate, and align such that it will stick out as much as you desire from the cabinet per this outline) and my cabinet extends 0.75" below the attachment surface, so I ultimately didn't need any spacers - unfortunately I guessed it did and had to essentially install it twice. They could have easily told you that spacers are not required unless the cabinet front extends more than 0.75" below the attachment surface. You would think they would have you measure this distance and then either set the spacers accordingly or not use them at all as in my case.
I found the user guide is pretty accurate and well written - had no problem programming over the air both analog (NTSC) and digital (ATSC) channels. Appreciate the easy way you can skip channels after the programming because it will find channels outside your viewing area, that will be mostly snow - but can easily be marked to skip them. The video is adequate but it's not high def, and other reviewers comments about it's quality are pretty accurate. Not really their fault, but would have scored the unit one star higher had an iPod nano 3G had worked and would have given it 5 stars if the video had been better.
And to the person who couldn't find the DVD player I understand perfectly. It wasn't until I put it into DVD mode and hit the eject button that it became apparent that it was well hidden behind the display - which drops down. And to the person who complained about the red push, the unit does have picture adjustments for brightness, contrast, tint, and color using the remote. I found a decent picture with all the setting about mid range.
a worthy replacement ............2007-11-02
Bought this little Philips TV as a replacement for a 19 yr old GE Spacemaker 5" color tv. While that old one was good, it finally just died. The DCD778 was one of the few undercabinet models still available, and Amazon's price and guarantee was the best deal. Screen size of 8.5" is a big improvement, and picture clarity is at least as good as the prior TV (which was good for such a little screen). We do occasionally see some of the interference bands one other reviewer saw so heavily, but that does appear to be caused by an electromagnetic field from the FiOS converter box. Mounting the convertor box 15" away under the next cabinet reduced the interference such that it is not annoying, and mounting them both under the cabinets minimized the loss of space underneath or on the kitchen countertop.
