nice, when it worked.......2007-10-28
I've had the television for 6 months. Great picture, awesome price. It just decided to die on me one day. I decided to email customer service, instead of call. I've been quoted, yes e-mail is in writing, 2-4 weeks for the part and then someone will call me. Amazingly they didn't have any questions about the issue, so my bet is that Poloroid is well aware of a faulty part. It was great while it lasted; hopefully they will resurrect.
WORST PURCHASE I EVER MADE!!!!!!!!!!!.......2007-09-28
Don't ever purchase a Polaroid television. They are all riddled with fundamental problems and are built very cheaply from the ground up. The initial cost savings won't even begin to cover all the frustrating time you'll spend later when there's a problem. Polaroid isn't concerned with producing products that work the way they should or with customer service when the defects they know about kill your very expensive new television, they just want your money and then for you to go away.
IF YOU PURCHASE A TELEVISION FROM POLAROID I PROMISE YOU THAT YOU'LL REGRET IT.
Very poor customer service.......2007-09-16
Polaroid FLM-3234B 32" Widescreen LCD HDTV
I purchased this item in January 2007 and it completely failed in May 2007. I called Polaroid customer service and waited, on hold, for 4 hours, yes, four hours. Once I talked to someone they said they would send a repair person to my home, the repair person never called. I called customer service again and again waited 4 hours. They then informed me that they would send a replacement which of course was on back order. I called them again and they said they would refund my money if I sent it back in the original box, I did at a cost of $85.00. They never called when they recceived it so I called again and you guessed it I waited on hold 4 hours. They informed me they had received it and the refund would be in 4 weeks. I waited 8 weeks still no refund and I called again, this time I did get someone immediately. They wanted the UPS tracking number, the product serial number, and where I purchased it. Without this they said they could not provide the refund. I provided the information (second time) and they said I would have my refund in another 4 weeks. To date I do not have the refund.
The Perfect Television for Your Bedroom . . ........2007-01-08
This television is the PERFECT size for your bedroom . . . it's not so huge that it looks ridiculous and it's just large enough to enjoy films from your comfy bed!!
Unlike most Polaroid flat-screens, this one has a monochromatic frame: therefore, not only practical, but aesthetically pleasing!! Moreover, there are no buttons what-so-ever on the front of the frame, but there are ones cleverly hidden on the side (just in case your dog steals your remote and you need to change the channel before checking under beds!!) So the presentation is uniform!
The set-up could not have been much easier! (Just in case you are not having the Geek Squad coming to your home!) My boyfriend had it assembled and we were watching "Army of Darkness" in under seven minutes;)
Unless you are using your PS3 on this television for films, I encourage you to pick-up an HD-DVD player (or one with a High Definition Upscaling. . . which also works FANTASTICALLY and is MUCH MORE affordable!). Your old DVD player will not work well with this television unless it has a High Definition Upscaling (just check your DVD manual, you may surprised to find that it does!!) And don't forget the HD cable WHICH IS CRITICAL!! I also strongly encourage you to pick up a surge protector: the Monster Cable MP HTS800 Home Theater PowerCenter HTS800 is incredible! (And it's pretty cheap here at Amazon!!! My boyfriend had to convince me to invest in this surge protector, and everyone says he's right! So, I guess this is an area where you don't want to take the cheap way out!) I know this may seem frustrating, disappointing, OR JUST PLAIN EXPENSIVE, but you will not regret it!!
So, while this television is not ideal for your living area (a larger, plasma would be the choice . . . and for very little more!) this is perfect for your bedroom! I would have given it five stars, but the remote control is pretty stripped down . . . and not especially impressive. But hey, that's what Logitech is for, right!!??

Excellent product but..........2007-12-20
I love my polaroid tv. TV's like this can save a relationship with its split screen especially if you are a gamer like I am. It is very easy to opperate. It was one of the greatest buys I have ever made however, after 10 months of use (extensive use becuase I use(d) it for a computer monitor as well as a TV and gaming TV) the power wouldn't come back on. After emailing Polaroid about the problem they sent me a new power unit and told me to expect a call 2 buisness days after recieving it for a repair specialist to call me. It has been over a month since reported and just under a month since I recieved the part that needed to be replaced. I have had to buy a labtop in order to do my homework and other internet based activities. Their Customer Service is great and communicate well however, their repair specialists need to be more prompt. A+ for the TV A for the Customer Service and an incomplete as of one month after contact for the Repair Team.

Customer Reviews:
Don't buy from Polaroid!.......2007-03-23
I could really just cut and paste the review from John Appleseed, as my experience with this TV is virtually the same as his. The TV worked fine for just over a year, when, as soon as the one year warranty expired, the TV shut off and could not be turned back on. Customer service steered me to a local repair shop that has had the TV for over a three months, and though they call Polaroid for the necessary part, can't seem to get the part shipped to them or find out if the part is in stock. The service company suggested I call Polaroid customer service to complain, which I did, and the conversation with the CSR was laughable. I started my conversation with "hello, I have a TV, which is out of warranty, in for repair and the service provider can't get parts from your company"...the woman responds with "when did you purchase the TV?" I answer with "just over a year ago", to which she responds, "ohhhh, sorry, it's out of warranty", as if she'd just solved my problem. The conversation only got more ridiculous from there. I did get the number of a "supervisor", who I still have not heard from and assume that I won't. The long and short of it is, if your TV goes out after warranty, you're due for a few months of watching your backup analog TV that hopefully, you stored in a closet somewhere. You'll also pay more for repairs than the TV is worth and will be throwing good money after bad. Don't buy from Polaroid ever, they're unresponsive, have insanely bad customer service, and build low quality televisions that expire after a year.
The Worst Purchase I've Ever Made............2007-01-06
First of all I've never written a product review before but my experience with this television has been so terrible that I think the only positive thing that can come of this is to try to prevent others from making the same mistake I did.
I bought this in December of 2005 at Circuit City. I chose this television because of the other 32" LCD TV's in the same price range this one had the better looking picture quality. I took it home and enjoyed it with no problems until early March 2005. At that time the whole screen became scrambled like trying to watch a scrambled cable channel and viewing anything on it was impossible. I called the warranty place (PWW) to file a claim and they set up an appointment with a nearby repair shop to have it fixed. Fine. A week after I took it in, the repair place called me and said that the processor & some other part were going to need to be replaced. They ordered the parts. Two months go by with no word so I called the repair shop. They said the parts hadn't come in yet and that maybe I should call the warranty place to find out what's going on. Fine. I try calling the warranty company and sit on hold for hours before finally leaving them a message to call me back. They never call back. I tried calling them back every day for a week, staying on hold for hours at a time, leaving messages for them to please call me, but they continue to not return my calls or pick up the phone when I call them. So 3 more months go by during which time I'm continuing to try to contact the warranty company without success and I keep calling the repair shop who keeps telling me that they have yet to recieve the parts until out of the blue near the end of August, 5 months after I took it in to be repaired, the repair shop calls me to say that they have finally recieved the parts and the TV is ready to be picked up. Fine. I pick it up and it works, for about 2 months. After 2 months of having it back the pixels in the screen start to burn out. Only one at first. Then two. Then more. I call the warranty place back up and have to stay on hold for only a short while before suprisingly someone answers. I explain to them what's going on and they want to schedule another repair. I tell them that I don't want to do that. I explain to them that 5 months of my warranty have already been wasted waiting for it to be repaired and that by the time it gets repaired again the warranty will be expired so that I won't have any recourse when this lemon I bought from them tears up for the expected 3rd time. The woman I was talking to then said she was going to transfer me to a supervisor but really she just disconnects me so that I have to call back again and this time no one will pick up the phone and I eventually have to leave a message for them to call me back. They never call back. I call back the next day and stay on hold for maybe 30 minutes and a guy answers the phone this time and I explain to him my problem and eventually he says that they will replace my TV with a new one. Great. They said I should receive a letter in the mail within 10 business days telling me when I can go back to the Circuit City I bought my TV from to pick up the new one. After 3 weeks pass and I haven't received the letter I call the warranty place back. The same guy answers from the 2nd call and tells me that I should have received the letter by then but that the person he would need to ask about that wasn't there at that time and that he would personally call me back the next morning. I told him that was fine, that I might not be there but that I had an answering machine and that he could leave a message. He agreed to do that. I don't know if he even bothered calling me or not but he definitely didn't leave a message. A month and a half have gone by since I was supposed to receive this letter for a new TV and I haven't heard anything from anybody about it. I am completely frustrated and tired of trying to deal with these people. This has been almost a year long frustrating process and I spent too much money on this thing to be treated they way I have. I'm talking with a lawyer now and this matter is going to go before the courts. I've been given no other recourse. Please save yourself the trouble and DON'T BUY ANTYHING FROM POLAROID!!!!!! I will never do business with this company again.
P.S. When I picked up my TV from the repair shop after it broke the first time they told me that they had more than a few other Polaroid televisions just like mine with the same problem so this is not a isolated case. BE WARNED.
Exceed expectation!.......2006-12-16
I bought this tv from local CC store in Jan '06. I didn't plan to pick up another tv but I was attracted by the design. The main reason
Picture quality is great!(but don't compare to Sony though) The two built-in speakers is just ok. I hooked up my unit with a sound system. I have this TV for about a year and never have had any problem with it. Great value!
I hate the sleep function on this thing. The 4 settings are 5 mins - 10 mins - 15 mins and 30 mins. This does't work for me since I don't fall asleep in 30 minutes! I just bought a 19" TV from the same line and the sleep function is much better (6 settings from 15 mins to 120 mins)
PWW Service Customer Resolution.......2006-03-25
PWW Service apologizes for any difficulty Mr. Coombes experienced with obtaining service. We successfully complete thousands of service calls per year, however there will be instances where issues arise and the service call is problematic.
In Mr. Coombes case we worked with the manufacturer and retailer to resolve the issue on the same day that his review was written.
While this case was unfortunate, it by no means reflects the standard processes within PWW Service, nor the outstanding quality of the Polaroid brand.
PWW Service appreciates the feedback, and if there are any questions customers can call us at 1-866-396-6322.
Thanks again,
PWW Service Customer Resolutions
Don't buy this TV!!!!!.......2006-02-26
I purchased this exact TV from Circuit City in October 2005. It died in December (past the 30 day return policy with Circuit City). I have been involved with the warranty company (Prima Worldwide Warranty) ever since and it is now Feb 26, 2006. The phone service with Prima is lousy (long wait times), and the technician that finally came to my home to fix the TV had the wrong part. This was 1 month ago, and they can't seem to find the right part. We are now forced to sue Prima in small claims court to to recover our costs.

Customer Reviews:
NEVER BUY A POLAROID TV, BAD MAKERS.......2007-12-14
NEVER, NEVER WILL I BUY POLARIOD PRODUCT AGAIN IN MY LIFE, NOT IN THIS LIFE, NOT IN MY NEXT 10 LIVES.
We bought a one from Circuit City in Nov 2005, it broke after 3 months, It just would not turn on. The power supply to the TV just broke. Since it was still under Warranty, we were told that they could repair it for us for free. We waited and waited for it, and I called about every week to find a status about it. Polaroid took a long time to get back to the repair people and finally about 3 months later, we got a call back from the repair shop saying that it was not possible to repair that and we were getting a new TV.
We got a replacement because it was was a manufactacturer's problem. I have owned many TV's in my life and never seen a TV break after 3 months. The replaced one worked for a while but well again, it is a manufacturer's problem, they manufacture faulty equipment so after a while it broke again. It was the power supply again, just like for almost everyone else. Now it is out of warranty so Polaroid is happy that they do not need to do anything.
I would HIGHLY, HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND THIS brand of TV to anyone, not even my worst enemy. PLEASE ALWAYS STICK TO SONY, PHILLIPS or the high quality ones. I think Polaroid should stick to Camera and not venture into lanes that they have no idea about. This is a faulty product and someone should take it off the shelves. They should not be allowed to sell or Manufacture any more of this faulty product that they are making money of off.
Please don't don't ever buy a Polaroid TV in your life, you will regret it. I am very unhappy and I really wish I could take it off the shelves completely.
32" Flat Screen LCD HDTV - Biggest mistake I ever made.......2007-10-17
Bought a 32" Flat panel LCD HDTV (FLM3232) from Circuit City on 10/26/06 that included a one year warranty. Approximately 2 months ago the TV started having severe picture distortion and color banding on entire screen. After contacting their warranty/customer service dept (1-866-289-5168) on 9/3/07, they stated they would mail out a control box and a service tech would be contacting us to install. We received the replacement part after 5 days but never contacted by the local service tech. After several calls (no less than 7!) over the course of 3 weeks, we were finally contacted by a service tech who installed the part. It did not help the problem, and after another 2 or 3 calls, another part was sent and installed by service tech. Again, this did not fix the problem, and after several more rounds (5-6) calls to the customer service number, I am still trying to resolve this issue. Dealing with their customer service has left me dumbfounded: from the rude and unprofessional customer service, the run-around, the hangups, the average wait time of 20-25 minutes for each of my calls to try to get this resolved. I have left messages for a supervisor on numerous occasions and never received a call back. After my last call, I think (or hope, anyway) that they will refund my money and honor their warranty. But... who knows at this point. I will NEVER consider spending money on any Polaroid product and think that it is incredible that Polaroid is using stall tactics to try and not remedy the situation, just hoping it will go away. Filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau about this TV that is supposedly under "warranty". Next step is the Florida Attorney General and the FTC. Disgusted. Unfortunately, I did not fully research brand (I was home on leave from Afghanistan, impulse buy) but doing a slow burn that I had to learn this lesson about Polaroid TVs by "throwing away" $800.00.....What a joke.
BUYER BEWARE, IT MIGHT WORK FOR AWHILE....THEN YOU ARE WILL HAVE MAJOR HEADACHES DEALING WITH THEIR NON-EXISTANT "WARRANTY" AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Amazing T.V.!!!.......2007-09-28
Polaroid makes amazing t.v.'s For a great price too. My neighbor had a 37" I believe and I loved it. It prompted me to go out and buy my 32". Now the model I have is slightly different. It has a built in DVD player which I think is pretty awesome. But if you already have a dvd player its doesnt make a difference. I really enjoy this tv. Play alot of games on it. Xbox 360 and Wii. I think it makes everything look amazing! Halo 3 looks absolutely stunning on this television.
Defective- Please file complaint at FTC and BBB for recall!.......2007-09-06
Like many others my tv died after 8 mths. I have been waiting for 4.5 weeks now and still have no idea how long it will be before they fix it. The Warranty Center lies to you (IE different ETA's on the same day of calling in, they tell you your warranty is extended, then no it's not, then it "freezes" from the day you phone in but won't give you anything in writing.)
I finally decided to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and will be calling Better Business Bureau to do the same. From the number of negative reviews I've seen on the Amazon and Circuit City websites I hope everyone else will do the same. This is obviously a defective product line and should be recalled by Polaroid. We should not have to suffer and waste our time chasing after them to get this resolved. The phone call to FTC only took 10 minutes. Please take action!!

Polaroid Custoner Service is not worth buying their TV.......2007-11-02
I purchased a 32' LCD flatscreen Polaroid T.V.. This tv wouldn't turn on after 6 months of use. The tv broke on 09/16/2007. We called Polaroid for warranty service. They stated 2 to 4 weeks to receive the part, and then a service tech would call to schedule the repair. Well several phone calls, and a lot of my time wasted. Today is 11/2/2007, and I received the part after 6 weeks of waiting. I received the part on 10/29/2007, and had to call Polaroid to set up the service tech to come repair this. Like I said today is 11/2/2007 and I have not received a call from any service tech, and polaroid states it would be another 7 days before I could receive my call. So in all I have waited 7 weeks for my tv to be fixed and it is still not fixed. Polaroid will not divulge the name of a certified company that can repair my tv. I suggest no one buy a polaroid after reading these other complaints.
I suggest we some how put together a class action law suit for this to force them to do a recall of LCD televisions.
Some of the excuses I heard from Polaroid 'You know with what is going on in China that is the reason your part is on back order' 'We are having problems with licensing our service techs'
Dead Polaroid.......2007-09-29
I'm like the rest of you.Had the TV for about 14 months and it died. That's about $65.00 a month to watch TV. Now I have to pay to have it fixed, " don't know what that will cost." Plus what I pay extra for HD programing on my dish. I think I will go buy a plasma, whats another $1600
Do not buy this TV!!!.......2007-08-22
I bought this TV in September of 2006 and the first 8 months it worked perfect. Then it died, just like most of them and I waited two months to get a new power board and they sent the TV repair company the wrong board. So they sent me another one a month later and it was the wrong board. I have now been without a TV for four months and I'm still waiting for it to get fixed and thats with the 2 year service warranty. Do not buy a polaroid TV, it is junk and they do not want to fix it. Pay for a better made one!!!
Less than 1 star.......2007-06-24
I purchased this TV on August 6, 2006. Actually, this is the second tv I purchased. We purchased our first polaroid and when we plugged it in, we didn't get any power. So, after talking with customer service, the gentleman told us that the tv must have been mishandled and that we should exchange. So, we did. Now, 11 months later, our television died. No power source at all. I will never purchase another polaroid item. I am extremely disappointed with them.
Stay away!.......2007-06-19
Purchased this TV just over a year ago. Comparing TV's in the store, we liked the color of the Polaroid best. One year and two days later, TV went out. My beautiful TV has been in the shop now for a month. The part that went out is going out on all of them they tell us. They have no idea when they might get the parts, so we spent $900 for one year of TV usage. Not a good deal. The Polaroid customer service seems nice, but they do not follow through on their promises. They say anything to get you off the phone. Very poor customer service from an American company. This is the worst consumer electronics experience I have ever had.
