Same jumbled screen issue.......2007-09-29
A month after my warranty expired - i got the jumbled screen syndrome as well. Not sure whether to fix it or just buy a new "brand" name TV at this stage.

You will be sorry if you buy this TV. We loved it at first-great deal, great picture. One month out of warrantee the picture started getting jumbled. It happened once in a while. It is now getting progressively worse. Last night the picture went out 3 times in 3 hours. We approached Norcent right away when the problem started. They said they could not (and would not) help us since it was out of warrantee. They do not have any authorized repair centers either.
There is obviously something wrong with this product since there are so many complaints online. Norcent does not support their products and I will never buy from them again.
If anyone found a solution to this issue please post it!!
Bad tv.......2007-05-14
To make a long story short,this is a BAD tv.had to ship back to the factory for repair at my expense.All i know to do with it is to let my grandson play with it by taking it apart.Do not buy a norcent product.

I bought this TV last February. For those of you who don't want to read this review in its entirety...just DON'T THROW AWAY THE BOX! Now where was I, oh yeah, like those who reviewed the unit earlier I too was very impressed with its initial performance. I foolishly threw away the box within a couple of weeks. I mean LCD TV is a proven technology right? Not a good idea. After about 8 months the picture started turning green. First intermittently and then it would remain green all the time. It was like all of the darker parts of the picture were being replaced by a dark green. The picture also got grainy like a computer monitor switched to 256 colors. I contacted Norcent customer service. I had to be very proactive and had to keep pinging them to keep them "responsive". In order to obtain warranty service the unit had to be shipped back to CA (I live in MD) at my expense and if damaged in route, Norcent will refuse to accept it. Many of the shippers I queried were either ridiculously high or not willing to take on the risk at all. Fortunately I was able to find a reputable shipper that would ship the unit for only $100 (paid extra to get the insurance coverage and special care) and fortunately it didn't get damaged in route. The unit was returned to me well within their guaranteed 4-week response time. The original warranty expired last month and there is no warranty on repairs. So-far-so-good after three weeks. Picture quality is now excellent. Hopefully this was just a glitch that surfaced early in the production run and is now resolved...
Turns Green .......2007-02-12
This set was great when I first bought it but several months later it began to turn green like a couple other people posted. I don't know what is wrong but the image turns green/red for several minutes. Then it might turn back or just stay that way. Very annoying problem so if you want to avoid annoyance further down the road I'd recommend avoiding this set and going with something more dependable. I might just chuck mine in the trash and forget this mistake of a TV.

product OK, customer service not.......2007-04-10
I am currently on my third Norcent monitor and about to be on my fourth. No, that's not brand loyalty, that's a defective product combined with poor customer service. My wife and I bought a 3225 last fall and it had problems with the on/off switch and ocassionally the screen would freeze, accompanied by a loud hissing noise. The second monitor we received did exactly the same thing (causing us to wonder if they simply sent back the same unit). During this time, getting ahold of customer service was nearly impossible; and when we did get ahold of someone, that person had obviously no customer service training and had terrible interpersonal skills.
Then we received model 3250 as a replacement, but found that the viewing modes were different and the unit did not include the same Clear QAM tuner the previous one did. I've seen mixed reviews on the 3251, some saying it does have this tuner and others not mentioning it. I'm currently waiting for a 3251 now and am hoping it has it. Norcent's customer service people say it does, but at this point I'm not sure I can trust them. I'd prefer to get my money back, but that doesn't seem to be an option.
Bottom line: if you get a unit that works properly, with the features you expect, it will probably work fine. However, if you need to deal directly with Norcent, you might find it an exercise in futility that you're not willing to undertake.
I give the product 4 stars and the customer service 2, for an average of 3. Good luck!
A Good Value.......2007-03-31
This LCD for the money has the best picture to be found. Quite a few of the reviews I read previously made note of the inability to hook up external speakers and they are correct. This short coming is not a problem for regular TV but on DVDs I have found the sound to be a problem so I have added a home theater system. While this flaw points out that the Norcent 3215 is not perfect, it is still a very good value for the money.

So far, so GREAT! We've only owned this TV for a few weeks, but we're very impressed by the picture quality, which is the real test for those with less technical acumen. It was so affordable, he#@, CHEAP, that we thought it was worth the risk of buying an unknown brand. Hopefully, in 2 years or so we'll feel the same, meaning we can't testify to its function over time.

Product is light-weight and has a great picture. The HD picture is incredible. The flat back makes mounting it a breeze. Overall, a great product.
