The sub is outfitted with a 12-inch polypropylene cone woofer that delivers enough rim-rattling bass to make any song sound rich and deep. The woofer is further supported by a rigid ABS dustcap that stiffens the cone, thus ensuring greater mechanical stability and lower distortion. Add in the dual four-layer Kapton voice coil formers, the cone/coil coupler, and the pole piece--all of which are double vented to withstand high power handling--and you have a powerful, full-bodied sub that satisfies everyone from casual listeners to serious audiophiles.
The sub's frequency response checks it at a healthy 27 Hz to 200 Hz, with a peak power handling of 720 watts (360 watts continuous). In addition, the DB 124 DVC's voice coil alignment, motor, and suspension were optimized using a state-of-the-art Klippel laser analyzer, resulting in superior cone linearity, a flatter response, and minimal distortion. Additional features include a Santoprene rubber surround that stands up to the harshest automotive environments--including temperature, humidity, and sunlight extremes--and fire-retardant flat Nomex spiders that are thermally stable while providing extended linear motion.
Though the marine certification makes the sub a particularly good choice for seafaring listeners, it also fits comfortably in cars, trucks, and other vehicles. The DB 124 DVC requires a mounting cutout diameter of 11 inches and is backed by a three-year warranty on parts and labor.

my 12" fubars are hooked up to my 2500 watt P.A. amp has very good rms feed and ohm feed, and can handle a lot without a cap... that other guy didnt have enough watts pushing both his 12's therefore he's retarded and didnt know how to feed the right amount of AMPS to the speakers, he should have got 2 amps running both of them, my amp pushs my speakers on M.I.D, and they cracked my back window half way with a junk deck, DUAL... lol, if you want high performace comp speakers for a DECENT price, grap you some fubars, not cheap so you KNOW they will last and if your smart, always pay the extra 11 bucks for the warrenty, u never know, now i have to go buy a new back window, i recommend everyone TO THESE FUBAR COMP S.B's, they will draw alot of attention.... ill tell you that much and never turn up all the way unless you want to be deaf... thanks amazon!!
speakers are ok for the money.......2006-06-04
I bought two FUBAR-12W subs and a P.A. LT-1920 amp, and after a few months the wire going from the positive terminal on the speaker to the spider burned out. I soudered it back together and then same wire on the other voice coil did the same thing... this happened quite often, so I did surgery on the one speaker like 10 times before I gave up on it. So, I was running the other speaker at only 440W RMS and that speaker blew out internally, where I couldn't fix it myself. I contacted these guys trying to exchange the speaker that I hadn't tried to fix myself and they wouldn't let me exchange the one speaker, even though both were OBVIOUSLY defective. They told me to call power acoustik and power acoustik told me that they wouldn't honor their 1 year manufacturer's warranty because it was bought on the internet, even though this is a huge, well-established company. So if you do get these speakers, I'd be very weary about getting them from the internet, because if they are defective, amazon and power acoustik basically tell you that they won't do anything for you. But, to be fair, the speakers sounded really nice when they were working, they set off car alarms :) and it was hard to breathe in the back seat ;), and for the money they would be a good buy if they worked properly, I don't know of any other speakers where you can get 800W RMS for the price. I now have some Kicker Comp VR 15's that only handle 500W RMS and they actually bang alot harder than the FUBAR's did, but I paid a lot more and I didn't buy them from here due to my experience with the customer service.

These subs are the best I've owned. They literally shake my truck. They are strong and hold up under the stress Iput them through. The service I got through Amazon could not have been better. They got them to me fast and undamaged. Overall This is probably the easiest buy I've made this year.
