Almost great TV mount.......2007-12-26
First, let me start by saying I am blown away by how quickly Amazon filled this order. I placed the order on a Sunday, taking advantage of the standard (free) shipping, and was quite surprised when I received the order the following Wednesday.
The TV mount worked exactly as described, and came with an assortment of screws and other mounting hardware to do the trick. No extra trips to the hardware store - almost. Much to my chagrin, I discovered that when trying to hang my LG flat panel on the wall, this mount didn't extend out enough to allow the AC power cord to plug into the outlet I had located behind the TV. The TV plug projected from the wall about an 1 1/2", requiring me to go to the Depot to purchase a recessed wall outlet, like the ones used for hanging clocks.
My only other comment is that the set screws used to secure the TV to the mount are accessed using a very long allen wrench, and in order to turn them, you must crouch down below the hanging TV and carefully turn the wrench. This isn't terrible, but when the mount is flush against the wall, like this one is designed to fit, you are only able to get 3/4 of a turn of the wrench before you must take it out, and carefully reposition it in the allen screw. The whole process of securing the TV took about 5 minutes.
Have to say, all in all - this mount cost about half what a comparable mount at Best Buy would have cost - and does the trick nicely.
Excellent Wall Mount for the Money.......2007-12-18
I'm using this wall mount with a 37" Olevia LCD TV. It was very easy to install, and the TV is easy to mount and dismount (when needed). Just make sure you screw into wall studs, and not just drywall.

Seems very well built, and it comes with a ton of extra screws. The only problem is that I can't reach the "safety" screws on the bottom. I am not really concerned because even without those screws it would be just about impossible to knock the TV off the wall. It's working great with our Sharp Aquos 46" LCD.

I bought this wall mount for a 32" Vizio. I had to make some modification with the hardware, which wasn't a big deal, and then it went up in about 30 minutes. I took back the Vizio and bought a Toshiba from Amazon, and it went up even more easily. The installation seems very stable.

Sturdy but you may need special screws for your TV.......2007-12-20
The stand is sturdy and comes with quite an assormant of screws for mounting different televisions. I was using it for a Sony W3000 52" TV. It had my TV listed in a book that said which of the sets of screws to use. I tried these and they were too long. It had another set that was the same diameter but they were too short. After reading the manual that came with my telelvision I found out that I needed an inbetween size that did not come with the mount kit. After going to 2 Home Depot's and a Lowes I was unable to find the right size bolts, so I ended up buying a set of washers, and had to use 3 of them for each of the bolts that came with mount kit so that I could tighten them with out poking a hole through the front of the TV. I was actually also surprised with Sony for not including the mounting bolts for their with tv.

This mounting system is very strong, well made, and the tilt mechanism works great. The locking screws that secure the TV arm brackets to the mounting plate add an extra level of security.
However, it's a real shame the wall bracket isn't just a couple of inches wider, so it would span 3 studs (on 16" centers). I should have read reviewer G. Knight's comments about this, before ordering.
I should have checked my stud locations before ordering this mount. I discovered that the centerline of my optimal TV location on my wall, was almost directly over a stud. So, I had to shift the mount left to the farthest recommended holes. After mounting the TV on the bracket and shifting it to the right to compensate, the wall bracket flexes by an undesireable amount.
If you are going to mount a 50" or larger TV on your wall, and want a precise placement, I recommend that you avoid this model and go with the ST670 series instead.
On the other hand, if you have a wide latitude for positioning your TV on the wall, or are lucky enough so that your TV's centerline lies directly between two studs (plus or minus 2"), this mount will do the job very nicely. My advice is, determine where you want your TV then check to see if your stud locations are optimally placed, before ordering.
Three stud mount needed for larger, or not centered studs.......2007-12-18
Unit comes with a two stud mount, I am mounting a 60 LG plasma and feel I need Peerless part 200-1901/2. I am finding out that part is about $45 plus shipping. Not available on Amazon and not available retail. Am in the middle of mounting the tv and now I have to wait....something I don't like to do.

said my installer. I'd add a lot cheaper too. Why on earth should a few pieces of pressed steel cost so much? Better than the Sony (or other brand-name wall mounts) and much cheaper. And by the way, get a local installer, not a chain like Firedog to do the work if you need a wall mount, even one on a chimney. $400 - $600 for a hour's work is simply robbery.
Low profile, strong, option to tilt or lock in place.......2007-12-17
This is a very good choice for a mount if you don't need the ability to swing the TV left or right.
It will handle a great deal of weight, which is not as important with LCDs, but plasmas are very heavy. In my case, I have a Samsung 52" LCD mounted to it, and I feel good knowing I am nowhere near the weight limit.
It is very low profile, which is one of the reasons you bought a flat screen. Why use a mount that holds it farther out from the wall if you don't have to?
It can be locked in five degree increments. So, if you always leave your TV at a certain angle, you can lock it in place and it won't shift over time. I have a much smaller LCD in the kitchen on a fully articulating mount, and I wish I could lock that one as it tends to sag forward over time and has to be readjusted. Very annoying.
There are large screws that have to be drilled into studs to install this. If you have a strong hammer drill, this is a good chance to use it. It cannot be installed without a good drill as the giant screws screw directly into the wall studs to keep all the weight securely mounted. Use a good edge-finding stud scanner to find the center of the studs so that you know the screws are secure.
After the mount is securely affixed to the wall, and the bracket is screwed into the back of the TV, it is a fairly simple matter to just hang the TV on the wall. Just make sure you use two people for the last step so that you can maneuver the television in place without dropping it.

Great Mount for Optoma HD70.......2007-12-15
I used the Atdec Telehook Universal Projector Flush Mount to mount my Optoma HD70. I did have to buy toggle tolts to secure the mount where it needed to be, but I knew that before I bought it. The whole mount took me a couple of hours to mount. Most of that time was due to having to find the exact location it needed to be mounted for my projector to work in the viewing room.

First, this mount works fine at less than half the price of most others. It is a bit tricky to adjust, but how often must you do that? It's very adaptable, with many different projector mounting screws that should cover any projector. Despite what previous reviewers have said, it came with two #14 hex head screws and washers for hanging the mount either directly from a joist or (using plastic plugs) simply from wallboard. I would not trust wallboard mounting myself, but it would probably work with a lightweight projector.
The projector mounting screws come in two bags. The smallest (one length of 2.5 and two lengths of 3.0 metric screws) are in one bag which I failed to notice at first. Since I needed the 2.5Ms for my Optoma projector, I picked up some at the local hardware store -- only to later find the supplied ones in the separate bag. All the other projector mounting screws are in a large plastic bag with separate compartments for each size. Unfortunately the compartments are labeled with letters, and the instruction leaflet only refers to them by size. Once I discovered the three smallest screw sizes in their separate bag, I then noticed that the other screws were listed in the parts inventory in the same order as the letters on the compartments. Knowing that, you can easily figure out which screws are which, but it would have been much better to show the letters with the sizes in the instruction leaflet.
Overall, I am quite pleased with this mount. And being a universal mount should make it simple when I upgrade to an HD projector.
Solid but not quite solid enough.......2007-10-08
I purchased this item for my Sanyo PLV-Z5. I previously (in my former house) had a Chief mount. Chief mounts cost twice as much as this one. When I opened the package for this, I was pleasantly surprised; very dense, high quality metal, nice solid customization, easy to use screws, etc. But once I actually got it up on the ceiling, I was disappointed to discover it does not have a full range of tilt settings, but more critically, it is very difficult to have perfectly steady and secure. It took me an hour to get it even with the screen and I'm still (months later) tinkering with it to get the screws as tight as I can. It's hard to describe what I'm talking about without having one, but basically, the screws that you tighten to make sure the projector doesn't shake at all are not tough/large/secure enough to keep it from shaking. I'm not talking the San Andreas fault here. It's probably not perceptible to someone not familiar with home theater stuff. But I notice.
On the whole though, for half the price of chief you get something ALMOST (not quite) as good. Pretty good deal and product.

I bought this mount for a Samsung 40" LCD TV that needs to be at an angle to the wall when viewed (I previously bought the tilt-only version for another TV that is viewed straight on). Both are excellent quality and easy to install with very basic tools. This mount allows you to store the TV flat against the wall and pull it out (very easily) for viewing. I did extensive research and found nothing approaching the Sanus mounts for quality. My only complaint is that they should include an additional set of bolts of a length in between the long and short sets included with the package.

I have three Sanus TV mounts and all three were easy to set up. First attaching the back plate to the wall studs with lag bolts (just big screws that hold the plate to the wall). Then you screw in two support brackets to the back of the TV. Sanus provides a variety of screw sizes to fit many TVs mounting holes. Once you have the mounting brackets attached to your TV, then you insert the two rods you see in the picture (top and bottom). While inserting the rods, you run them threw the mounting arm. Tighten down the clamps on the rods and you now have a mounting arm ready to attach to the plate on the wall. This is the most difficult part, getting help to lift the TV and hang the mounting arm on the wall plate. But once that is done, all you do is tighten screws at the bottom of the mounting arm and you are done. Now the TV is easy to articulate where you need it. In mounting all three of my TVs on the wall, I used the Sanus mount and it was a no hassle easy to do process. I'm very pleased with the quality and I'm an engineer... (meaning I'm picky)

A Rock-Solid, Versatile Mount.......2007-10-28
The VMAA26B is well engineered and solidly built. The design and construction pay off in this mount's adaptability to various installation situations and the ease of adjusting the viewing angle and position.
I needed to place my 42" TV precisely within an opening in existing built-in cabinetry, have it flush to the cabinet when not in use, and adjustable for different viewing angles. No problem for the Sanus with its 26" articulated arm. The full measurements and instruction manual on the Sanus website gave me confidence before buying that the mount would meet my needs and that I could do the installation. One question I had was promptly addressed on the phone.
It's worth noting (as emphasized in the instructions) that the mount MUST be screwed into wooden studs. You'll need a good stud-finder and some test holes if the studs are behind thick paneling, as in my case.

It did take us a few hours to properly install it, but after it was done we could swivel our tv anyway we wanted. You need two people to get that tv up there, especially the big ones. Also, ours is a little crooked and it is getting worse, could it be warping? We have to spend more time on the installation I guess, but the benefits of what this mount cad do is worth the work.

Used to mount a 37" Syntax Olivea. Excellent price considering the WM30 wall mount bracket that the manufacturer sells was $90 plus shipping. Installation was a snap...had it up in less than 20 minutes including locating stud, leveling, drilling and mounting. Screws are very long & thick so make sure you find the exact center of the stud and use a drill with enough power to drive such a long screw. Will be buying 2 more for my other flat panels.

I needed a VESA 100x200 mount for my Samsung LN-T2342H 23" LCD HTDV. This was the cheapest I could find for that VESA standard. Do not let the price fool you. The build quality is very nice on this unit. Way better than those "star" brackets. Installation was no problem. Hardest part was finding all my lines. The mounting hardware is top notch. They give you heavy duty wood screws to go into the studs and anchors if no studs. Over 2" screw I think. I had a an issue, based on where I wanted my TV, that only allowed me to use the upper-right most mounting hole for the stud. I proceeded to use the 3 anchors and the supplied screws to mount 2 in the center and one one the left. I then found a replacement wood screw for the stud. Size size. Screwed that in and that baby ain't movin' The tilt function is very nice however the saftey screws are a pain to tighten. No biggie though. Just location sucks. I do wish the wall bracket was a tad wider to allow more left/right movement. The saftey screw issue with a "want" for a wider bracket resulted in a 4 star. Really is 4.5.

Good mount, but.............2007-12-23
I bought this mount for a 50" panasonic plasma. The mount was very sturdy, has enough hardware, has a nice template, but has a few other less obvious problems. It leaves minimal clearance between the TV and wall so you may have some issues trying to physically plug all the cables into your TV after you hang it on the mount. The clearance issue also doesn't allow my TV the full range of tilt. Also, the box it came in was all taped together and had obviously been opened before - and sure enough I was missing some things. Omnimount was nice enough to replace the parts, but it delayed my installation by a week.

This bracket is the way to go. There's a template included that makes it so easy, it took less than an hour to mount our new 42" Panasonic plasma perfectly. You must screw it into studs, but the bracket is designed so well, it can accomodate many different widths between them. It may cost a bit more than other mounts, but it's totally worth it.

Very happy with my purchase. i have mounted my 65" Panasonic plasma over my fireplace myself (with a few buddies) and cannot be happier. This unit is strong and easy to assemble and mount, granted you have a little bit of handy savvy. Don't pay $500.00 and up to have someone hang your plasma unless you need customized wire hiding. This mount is great. Buy it!
Great wall mount, not the best directions.......2007-04-19
If you're going to spend thousands on a tv, don't skimp on the wall mount. I highly recommend this product. The directions that came with it are a little short on detail. I went to the Omnimount website and was able to download a better version. It comes with a huge variety of mounting screws for tvs. Unfortunately not for my tv though - the short ones were too short and long ones too long. I had to run to Home Depot and pick up a few which wasn't a big deal at all. The lag screws to bolt the mount to studs may be a bit overkill but better to be safe than sorry. It is IMPERATIVE that you drill into the center of the studs. I have moderate DIY skills and was able to put this up in less than an hour. Oh, and keep in mind that this will allow your tv to tilt up and down, not left and right. I mistakenly thought it was the latter but that's my fault for not reading. The tilt mount is still a good deal even if you don't need or want to tilt your set.

I purchased this mount for Samsung LN-T2353H, which requires 200x100 mounting plate. First I was greatly discouraged after I realized that major retail stores recommended incompatible mounts and asked at least double price for those products. It took time to realize that Amazon has the best offer I could find, but I am glad I did!
This mount is similar to AM2, except this one (AM2-B) is black, which perfectly fits black TV's. Long arm allows 360° rotation.
Easy to install, but you might need to play a little with provided hardware. 1) I used larger (then recommended by manufacturer) drill bit to make holes in wall studs and 2) replaced "plate-to-TV" screws with a little longer ones. That's all. Everything else works just great.
I would recommend this arm to anyone, who is looking for black mount for LCD TV up to 27" and wants good performance quality as well

Solid mount, good for the price.......2006-10-28
First, I'm sorry that I forgot that there wasn't a picture of this mount, or else I would have taken one before I mounted the screen. The mount is a flat piece of steel, with grooves on the top and the bottom and multiple holes for mounting. There are two pieces which screw into the back of your flat panel (with included hardware, see below for details), and hook to the mounting plate and provide the ability to tilt.
Mounting was not the easiest in the world; if you aren't handy at all with tools, you should get help or think about another mount. You will need:
1) A stud finder
2) A level
3) Drill with 3/8" bit
4) Wrench to drive in the lag bolts, or better yet an adapter for the drill.
5) Screwdriver to take the TV off its current stand.
I have a 37" LCD screen (by Olevia) I was mounting, so I decided to use two studs. Maybe with a smaller screen you could get away with just one, but given that you are putting something worth a grand or more on the wall, having it come crashing down is a bad thing. Putting up the mount is slightly difficult; if you have ever put up anything heavy that needs to be level you will be OK.
Once I got the mount up (the hardest part was getting the TV onto the mount) I am very happy with it. It has a very solid feel, that flat panel isn't going anywhere. They advertise a "one touch" tilt: I disagree. If you want to constantly adjust the angle, get another product. This works best in the "set it and leave it alone" mode. I have this on the wall in the bedroom, up high enough so the sight line clears the end of the bed. This is perfect, because the mount tilts downward, so while in bed you have a 0 degree angle of view.
I did mention the mounting hardware. The brackets that attach to the TV mount differently to each model. There is a long list, sorted my manufacturer, which tells you which of the included hardware (different lengths of screws, washers, and spacers) you may need. Be sure to read that. It is critical. Get the wrong hardware and your set will come right off the mount.
Overall, I'm very pleased. This mount does what I needed it to do, and went up with only a minor fight.

This mount was ALOT less expensive than many mounts found in department or electronic name brand stores. It arrived quicker than we expected and it was easy to install and has been holding up excellently for over 6 weeks now. I highly recommend this mount. We used it to mount a 42" Sharp Aquos HDTV, and it was great. You cannot go wrong, especially with the mere $95 price tag.

The mount needed adjusting to mount properly on the wall. There was too much play on one side which caused it to hang lower on that side. The installer made adjustments to make it work.

This mount works as advertised. The only problem I had was that the mounting holes did not allow me to bolt the unit directly into 16" spaced studs so I had to use a drywall anchor. While the holes would allow such placement, the unit itself would have been offset from the center of the wall to accomplish this. A minor complaint, surely but enough to warrant one less star.
Easy to install on brick wall.......2007-06-23
The most important thing I can say is it was easy to install. We were able to install it on our brick wall, I had truoble finding a wall mount that could do that so we were happy when we found this one. I have to add that we have a 50" magnavox and there were not instructions on how to install this particular TV size and brand, but it was so easy we were able to improvise and use it on our set anyways. Also another good thing about this is that it installs onto the wall plate in seconds, that was very helpful as the TV weighs 120 lbs and it was just my husband and I lifting it onto the plate that goes on the wall.

This is the real McCoy! If the apocalypse struck tomorrow, this mount would still be standing afterward. It's constructed extremely well, and it is very well finished. Specs on the Premier site for this mount are exactly what you get - lots of tilt and swivel: just what you want for a fully articulated mount. When fully extended, it's ROCK SOLID! The tension on all of the swing/tilt joints is adjustable, and the mount can be configured for right or left swing-arm direction. The mount is heavy (like 70 pounds) so you need a well supported wall to accommodate mounting. I called Premier customer service a few times with mounting questions, and they were exceedingly helpful. I looked at other articulating mounts, and nothing was built this well. The AM3 is second to none.

Premier Mounts AM3 Universal Swing Out Arm for 40-61-Inch Displays
This mount is an excellent designed Plasma/LCD flat panel mount. It is sturdy and flexible in operation. The unit looks good and the workmanship is solid. The unit can swivel 180% left and right as well as up to a 10% tilt up/down. It will also fit flush to the wall within 4" and swing out to 26". I would recommend this unit to anyone who wants a wall mount for a flat panel display.
Very Strong.......2007-11-14
From the stock pictures I wasn't sure how sturdy this would be. When it arrived all those questions were laid to rest. This thing is a beast, very strong and confidence inspiring. It comes with a massive set of bolts and screws and washers and spacers which is great. The 8 lag bolts to mount this to wood studs are 5/16" by 3", but I mounted to a brick fireplace, so I bought my own lag bolts.
Once attached to the wall, we could (and did) hang off it without any fear of it falling. The house is coming down before this TV will fall. My only issue is the joint motion is a bit tight and there's no obvious way to loosen it. So it will move around, it just takes some effort. The tilt I've set for full 10 degrees and locked, but if you wanted to move it around it can be done, just not without getting out your socket wrench.
Bottom line, I've mounted my 52" Sharp LCD on this and I'm 100% confident it will hang there for many years to come.

This mount is well designed and well built. It is so sturdy I think I could do chin ups on it. It is also very easy to install. Great choice for a large plasma or LCD which needs to swing out from the wall. Highly recommended.
