Bought two of these for 46" LCDs. Heavy Duty and very secure once mounted. Two considerations. Plug in all connections to tv before hanging on bracket. Need small hands to adjust manual thumbscrews for tilting.Looks great on the wall.
Easy Install, yet Disappointing Tilt.......2007-12-27
I bought this wall mount for my Sony Bravia 46" LCD, which I also purchased at Amazon. It was an easy install using the enclosed hardware and following the directions. Didn't take long before it was up.
The description stated tilting wall mount, so I bought it instead of the regular one, which was a little cheaper. I guess I should have read the description more thoroughly. It only tilts downward at a very slight angle, but more upwward. I would assume that most people tilt downward, as they probably hang them above fireplaces, etc. Therefore, I was hoping (assumed) to have a bit more tilt.
I'm not dissatisfied whatsoever with the product. But I could have paid less with the same result. Overall it was a good purchase.

The mount worked very well. It was easy to install and had great instructions which covered every possible configuration.
Compared to the overly expensive models at the retail stores in my area this price could not be beat.
Great Bracket for your Flat Panel.......2007-12-25
I installed this bracket in about 2 hrs. with my dad's help. I put a 32" Sharp Aquos on it. It was really easy to get on the wall and then place the LCD panel on it. The only thing I regret is that it doesn't allow me to get to the back of my unit without having to uninstall it. Luckily all my component and HDMI slots were used up, so now when I get a new item, I just replace it with whatever I'm discarding.

I bought this to go with my Toshiba 47HL167 LCD TV. It hooks up easily, comes with an amazing number of bolts so it can hook up to any TV; but they are separated in nice little pouches so finding what you need is easy. It attaches to a stud wall with 4 screws and installation is quick.
This is the only mount I've used, but I can't see what a $150 mount would offer you. So long as it doesn't crash off the wall - that's really all you need. It also pivots but I set mine vertical.
The hardest part was deciding where to mount it. I used blue painters tape to layout a 'TV' on the wall and looked at it from lots of angles, chairs, sofas, etc. My first inclination was to go too high, I found that was uncomfortable on the neck. Final TV center height is 50". This is comfortable to look at from a chair, but also high enough to view while laying on a couch (and looking above your feet). But your room and furniture will be different - so try the "tape" TV for 30 minutes of so.

I purchased the Sanus TV mount for my 42 Panasonic Plasma which was being mounted directly onto a brick fireplace. I used 8 concrete wall anchors purchased at home depot to keep it up and in place. 4 weeks later its still hanging.
The mount was easy to put together and does a good job of articulating in enough directions to get a good view of the T.V from anywhere in the room. I would use this mount again if I had to do it all over.

Absolutely awesome wall mount. The mount is sturdy and reliable. It was recently put to the test in a 5.6 earthquake (centered out of San Jose). The mount rotates left and right and swings out a good 12". The only draw back, as with many mounts, is that you need two people to hang the TV. It took two of us about 1 1/2 hours to hang this badboy. All of the wires are hidden behind the wall and the TV looks great hanging on the wall. Highly recommend.

GREAT BRACKET, BUT CHECK IT OUT.......2007-10-08
This bracket was fairly easy to install for a non-techy and non-handyman. The wall mount part could have been longer to better align with the studs. Also, with my new Samsung 4661F, the bracket bar that mounts to the TV goes right over the bottom third of the "hole" on the back of the TV that contains the input jacks. I just about had a stroke when I discovered this but the cables were flexible enough that it worked. Who's to blame for that? TV manufacturer or bracket manufacturer? Mainly me for not checking it out better. Again, it worked but it was a close call. Tilt, maneuverability left/right work great. It will not spin from horizontal to vertical, not that this was a big deal. The black version (that I bought) was cheaper than a stainless steel-looking variety from the same manufacturer. Buying it from Amazon was by far the best deal.

I was offered this very same mount when I bought my plasma at a retailer for over $600. When I saw this I jumped on it but thought it may not be as strong and durable but that wasn't the case. This is the exact same one. Easy to install, sturdy, convenient and way cheaper than elsewhere. I love it and am very happy with this purchase!

Great Mount. Easy instructions and all the pieces in the box were clearly labeled and corresponded to the instructions. I mounted it in 3 careful hours which includes adjusting it and a short trip to hardware store for bolts that were a little longer. Sanus Customer Service on the phone was prompt and helpful and recommended the new bolts since my 37" LG would easily accept more threads and I was uncomfortable with the shorter threaded bolts that were supplied.
Oh - this mount is easily double the price at all the major electronic stores. I bought online and saved over $200!
Product comes up a little short.......2007-11-25
Product is well built, yet was disappointing. The documentation supplied by the manufacturer claims it can be mounted on walls with studs spaced up to 24" apart. However, the wall bracket is only 18" wide. Contacting the manufacturer resulted in being told that the product manual is incorrect and they do not offer a 24" wall bracket for that model. I would have to return the entire (very heavy) unit on my dime and pay almost another $100 for a different model.
I chose to fabricate an extension myself at a cost of $15 worth of steel that works fine but looks a bit hokey as seen when the TV is extended from the wall.

The product worked just like it was advertised. It was fairly easy to put together and came with all necessary hardware. One difficulty was finding studs, which are a must. But I have wood paneled walls and was putting the frame in a corner, so that's just my experience. The arm nicely holds my 42" Vizio in place on a diagonal in the corner of my den. No need to move it around for me, so I can't comment on that aspect.

I am using this mount for a 46" LCD TV that we need to rotate almost 90 degrees left or right. It works great for that!
I found the instructions to be well written (with the exception of a couple of typos) and I loved the fact that Sanus provided all of the fasteners (including cable ties) that you might possible need - regardless of your specific TV. Each of the various types of fasteners are contained in clearly labeled individual plastic bags. Nicely done.
All in all, I am very happy with this item. It is clean looking and attractive and I'm very confident that my TV won't fall off of the wall.
Now for the warning. Like another reviewer, I found that the lag bolts which were supplied to attach the mount to the studs were very weak. I twisted one off after applying only a moderate amount of torgue. I simply substituted lag bolts from the local hardware store (non-Chinese) and finished the installation.

Great wall mount. But it must be mounted on two wood studs at least 12" apart. If your Flat screen is under 40" you can us the Sanus ML22. This is a single stud wall mount.
It's lockable!.......2007-11-29
First off this is a great mount, it's been said over and over. What hasn't been mentioned and was a deciding factor for me is the ability to lock your tv to the wall. Not all of the mounts out there have this feature. I did a lot of research and I found nothing comparable at this price point. The locking feature is simple yet effective. Do you see the little hole in the bottom left corner of the portion of the mount that attaches to the wall? That is a where you put your lock and is part of the bar that slides into the mount after you have attached the tv to the wall mount. Once this bar is in, you can not lift your tv off the mount. To remove the tv, you remove this bar. If the lock is on the bar, the tv does not come off. (lock not included) It works great for me. The setup was very smooth, 5 stars!

Why pay more!!!.......2007-05-12
I do a lot of research online and in store comparisons before I buy most of my items. The wall mounts in stores like CC and BB are all overpriced. I read the reviews on Amazon and made my decision to go with this model. The mount arrived in like 2 days and it took a total of maybe 15min to hang. The product is built well and comes with everything you need. Why pay over a hundred or two hundred dollars for a piece of metal to hang your tv. I tested the product by hanging from it and I weigh 180lbs, it did not budge. It sits flush and works as described. Do not waste your money on something else that does the same thing.

This is what I was looking for. A low profile mount for my Hitachi 42" plasma tv that is really strong for a reasonable price.
It comes with everything you need, it doesn't matter if your tv's back is round or flat, or what kind of wall your house has. Even it comes with a security bar to put a lock on it.
