Good Design, Fair Execution.......2006-11-06
Ordered this for our small living room because of the design. None of the descriptions I read on the web were complete, so let me have a go: this is flat-pack assemble-it-yourself furniture just a step up from Ikea in quality and design. There is no shelf (too small for it, actually) and no back.
This is a nicely designed unit with a sharp look and great finish. Someone really cared about the design. Each type of the parts for the assembly came in a separate bag; a nice touch.
Execution of the design is lacking however. The manual is difficult to read and references what seems to be an earlier revision of the product. (Screw types have changed, different holes were used.) Nothing you can't figure out, but still unfortunate. The fit of the legs is poor. The pre-drilled holes on the end legs didn't align and the center leg was not welded at right-angles so the middle leg has a slight lean to it instead of going straight down.
Finally, until we can hang it on the wall, we plopped our 46 inch flat-screen on it and the whole unit sagged slightly. This is to be expected with particle board furniture with no back for support, but keep it mind if you are going to put something heavy on it.
Pro: sharp design, finish, cheap
Con: incorrect instructions, poor leg fit, sags under load, cheap

A cubist's delight with a retro flair. 60" wide top shelf accommodates most DLPs on the market today, while the middle shelf provides adequate storage for a host of components. The dark wedge finish provides an easy match for contemporary or traditional decors; a warm cherry veneer to the inner walls provides a clean contrast that heightens the appeal.

Simple and modern.......2007-11-29
I like this TV stand because of its simple but practical features. The height is lower than most TV stands, however if you want to watch TV in a sofa comfortably, the TV screen should be at the same level or little bit lower than your eyes. This product makes that happen. I fed up "worshiping" my 42-inch plasma put on a previously own normal height glass stand. It's just too high to raise my head for a full length movie. The open front and back design makes it easy to wire and remotely control. You have clear view of electronics' displays. Assembly is not complicated, either. Overall, I am very happy with the design and product quality.
Nice quality, too slim of design.......2007-08-06
The unit had good quality construction, however, due to the metal poles at both ends I could not fit my components in it. The depth is actually like 13" with the poles.

The grace and charm of this design lies in its simplistic and straightforward lines. The architecture is open; the steel frame is strikingly finished in chrome; the top is a richly polished dark wedge veneer. A lower, frosted tempered glass shelf accommodates components.

Form, function & flair for your flatscreen!.......2007-10-19
This is a stylish, great looking piece, perfect for my use. I needed a TV stand for a flat screen that would be used in front of a lovely bay window. My wish was for something that was low, slim and wouldn't intrude on the view out - and also wouldn't be visible on the view in. This was perfect. The design is subtle and classicly modern - so it goes well with my vintage mid-century modern pieces as well as my new 'stuff'. Functionality-wise - it gets the TV to the correct viewing height, and also displays it like a lovely piece of art. Assembly was super simple, and the two colors of wood mean that it goes with all of my furniture. I knocked one star off for 2 reasons: 1) Arrived with a visible ding on one of the front corners, and - 2) this piece really could use a shelf option on the interior - it looks quite sleek because of not having a shelf as long as you don't need to put much of anything down below - but the reality of a/v gear being what it is today, a shelf would help keep gear (dvr, etc)looking neat/sleek.

Steel and glass are contemporary standards. Here the steel is chromed, the tempered glass frosted. Coolly elegant, the look is elegant without being intrusive. A middle shelf, also tempered glass, holds additional components.
