If you want to upgrade your x60 (or in my case x61 tablet) to working all day from the battery, then this is the solution. It adds about 1 inch to the depth of the laptop, but because it's got a rubberised surface, it makes the tablet easier to hold.

Good buy, my tablet x61 lenovo gives me all the details with the battery, like number of discharge cycles..watts being used..every kind of info. this is an intelligent battery. It will tell you the status. This info is in lenovo battery/power management software. Dont know how many cycles the battery will last though.

I was a little skeptical about ordering a $60 9-cell battery as this sounded to good to be true. Manufacturers cost was $149. However, it works great and as advertised. I can't claim it provides 5 hours of usage because I haven't timed it, but it is far superior to the 6-cell battery included at time of purchase. The physical size is larger and it extendes beyond the back of the laptop but only slightly. Overall, I would highly recommend this battery. (Purchased thru Office Depot online via Amazon)

Lenovo claims that this battery provides up to 5 hours of battery life...How about just 3 hours! With light to medium use (no more then 2 programs running), the battery provided only 3 hours of time on a Lenovo Vista notebook. Disappointing!

I'm doubly impressed with this battery. First, it consistently provides 2.5 hours of battery life on my T60p with the screen at full brightness. Secondly, the batteries being shipped are very new. Unlike many battery resellers these batteries weren't sitting in a warehouse for 6 months. I ordered and received a battery in mid-January 07 that was manufactured at the end of December 06 according to the IBM battery utility. Now that is a quick supply chain!

Quickly became useless.......2007-03-28
My experience with this battery was not as good as the first reviewer. Initially, it gave me 4-6 hours of continuous work. I was able to give a 2.5 hour lecture on one charge, easily. Slowly, the battery started deteriorating and after 10 months the work time was down to one hour.
Bulky but great power boost.......2007-03-10
This battery, new, is giving me 5-6 hours per charge. The 4-cell it replaced gave about 1.5 so I am happy. If you use it bear in mind that it sticks out an inch and a half beyond the edge of the laptop whereas the 4-cell is flush. It is also quite heavy so it detracts from the nice slim and portable nature of the X41.

Slightly less battery life than the factory battery. But at half the price, who cares? I have two that I keep with my eXplorist 500. Holds a charge for a couple of weeks--longer than the factory battery. Highly recommended for when you aren't going to be near an outlet for a while--like when I was recently in China.

This battery (by "Wireless Technologies") is a cheap 600 mAh battery made in China with (likely) no independent tests of its safety. If you search Google you can find a 1000 mAh E635 battery or the original and safe 800 mAh.
