I just received my speakers. And although it is cute the sound is not that good and I wanted something that would charge my ipod. This will, but it has to be hooked to your computer docking cord. I don't know about you, but I don't take my home computer on a trip. I was under the impression that this would charge my ipod when it was just plugged into the wall. I am very disappointed.

Don't worth the price I paid for........2007-06-25
Low volume, not bass enough, or better, not bass at all. Highs are clear without distortion. No remote control. Used as charger is a mess. Looks weak. Ideal for a table tea companion; small enough to keep in your poket or a woman's bag. My wife love it.

Might be ok for Gen 2 Nano, useless for Gen 1.......2007-09-05
I shopped quite a bit when I bought a speaker for my Nano. This speaker looked good and seemed like it had all the features I wanted. It didn't specify that it was for Generation 1 or 2 Nano, so I assumed that it would work.
As wasn't advertised, this speaker is for a Generation 2 Nano. The difference is small, but large enough that a Gen 1 Nano won't slide into the dock all the way. So a Gen 1 will stick out.
The docking port was also misleading. It sounded like the built in docking port would play and charge your Ipod, which is what I was looking for. All the docking port had though, was a headphone jack that mates with the (Gen 2 only) headphone jack. My Gen 1 was off just far enough that it wouldn't go into the jack. And there was nothing that plugs into the main port on the bottom, so if you want to charge your Ipod with this speaker, you have to still use your USB cord, ran to the back of the speaker. The speaker also has an Aux input, so I could have used this speaker with my Gen 1 Ipod if I would have plugged a double male headphone adapter from the Ipod to the speaker. I'm in Iraq though, and didn't have that.
Ok, those are the negatives. The positives? The little speaker looks really cool. It's small and seems to be well built. I wish I had a Gen 2 that I could try it out with. There's a clear plastic cover that swings down after loading your Ipod to protect it and keep it from falling out.
Bottom line is it might be a good speaker if you have Gen 2, but mostly worthless for a Gen 1 player. The description should have clearly stated it was for Gen 2, but it didn't. I'm probably going to return this product.
