This product is GREAT, it is definitely recommended if you purchase the Stilleto or other mobile Sirius product. When you install it get the direct connection instead of the one where it is transmitted over a radio station because it sucks having to keep finding different unused radio stations.

I have not had any of the problems listed here with my Stiletto car kit. My FM transmitter works superior to the one I was replacing. I plugged it in, switched my account to my new unit and have no static. It broadcasts on the same channel and more clearly than my last model. I am completely satisfied and did not have to purchase any extra parts, or hardwire in.
The mounting clips are exactly the same as my other XM unit and have worked well on that one for 5 years.
My husband has the Pioneer Inno and we prefer the Stiletto device but just can't give up the dual programming.
If you drive something smaller than a minivan, don't bother........2007-11-09
I am generally unsatisfied with the Sirius Stiletto, but especially with the car kit. I drive a Buick Century, a good, solid mid-sized car, and the car adapter is so big and bulky that I can't use it. In a Buick Century. We are not talking about a tiny Nissan or Kia. We are talikng about a Buick! The adhesive for the dashboard mount is too weak to support the weight of the unit with the radio. I LOVE Sirius radio, I may eventually pay to have the internal satellite antenna put into my car. But the Stiletto is a disappointment.
Works fine, but cludgy design overall.......2007-10-19
I love my Stiletto, and love my Stiletto home kit. The car kit? Not so much. It works fine - as far as reception, etc - but the design of the dock is not so hot on the fit and finish, and the mounting arm, etc - it's all just a bit cheezy and hard to deal with. Inserting the Stiletto into the dock is a 2 handed job, and things don't seem to line up so well - so you need to use a little force, and that is not something I like to do when dealing with connections on electronic devices! Another annoyance is - before you can use your Stiletto in the car after hooking up to the dock, you have to wait an interminable time for it to 'connect' so you are stuck looking at the cute Sirius dog and some stars that show you the progress of your connection - can't use the MP3 player ability or anything else until it connects. This is really annoying - my dedicated Sirius car radios do not take that much time to sync up - and in fact, if I just use the Stilletto in my car 'as-is' =without= the car dock, it syncs up super fast/no problem. Anyway - I wanted to love this car dock - but it is the weakest link in my Stiletto accessory collection, cheezy, cludgy and definitely not worth paying full price for!

Great budget receiver!.......2007-01-06
I bought this obsolete receiver as an inexpensive unit so I could evaluate Sirius, compared to XM which I already have. This unit is very likeable, much more so than either of my XM receivers (Roady XT and Audiovox XR9). Controls are easy and straightforward, unit is quality built with a solid feel and great display. It has a clock, but it's time-based features are lame. Additionally, it only has 6 preset buttons, meaning it does not support direct channel entry. It still gets 5-stars because for the price, it's a great receiver.
The Streamer GT may not be the receiver for you if you plan on constantly swapping it from car to car, or car to home. Instead of simply placing the receiver in a docking cradle, you have to plug/unplug the power and antenna, and the audio out if you happen to use that. The direct input voltage is 12v., which makes it very easy to work with when doing a custom installation in the car. This allows you to tap power directly from your radio harness (or wherever), as opposed to using the cig. lighter adapter.
Sirius vs. XM:
For the type of music I listen to (70's, 80's, lite rock, classic rock, etc.) I'm finding that Sirius provides FAR superior sound quality AND overall programming selections. Certain songs I heard on XM were lifeless and flat, almost as bad as AM. By comparison, they sound much richer on Sirius. Comparison was done in the same car, using an aux. input. Sirius also seems to have better programming selections in non-music categories as well. All this spells bad news for XM with regards to my current account with them.

I have had mine for about 6 months and I love it. It is compact, the sound is excellent and is overall the best that I have seen on the market. The Streamer GT is a very good product.
