Product Description
Sangean's DT-200VX builds on the success of its predecessor, the DT-200V - a popular belt radio for over a decade. It has great selectivity and responsiveness and picks up stations in areas where no other radio could. Along with great reception in the classic black case, you'll also get the handy belt clip, a set of ear buds and an external antenna. The DT-200VX also has a clock, backlight and deep bass boost. The 19-band memory and memory seeker makes it easy to tune in, and the large LCD display makes it easier to see. The Sangean legacy of superior reception and sensitivity are here, with additional features that it even better. Stereo / Mono / Speaker Switch Deep Bass Boost Removable belt clip Auto-seek station Battery power indicator
Amazon.com Product Description
The ultimate pocket radio, Sangean's popular DT200V is imminently compact but loaded with convenient features, from its 19 station presets to its drift-free, PLL synthesized tuning, auto station scanning, TV sound reception, and handy belt clip. Listen through the built-in speaker or the supplied ear bud headphones. Forgot to turn it off? No worries: it shuts itself off after 60 minutes to conserve batteries (its sole source of power). The radio's high-impact ABS case virtually guarantees long life.
Batteries should last 30 to 40 hours at moderate volume through the unit's single speaker and slightly longer on the included ear bud headphones. Pocket use was taken into account even at the level of ear bud manufacture: if you put your radio in your pocket, it's less distance to one ear than to the other, so one side of the headphone cord is accordingly shorter. The DT200V runs on 2 AA batteries, not included.
What's in the Box
Radio, ear bud headphones, belt clip, trailing antenna, and a user's manual.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT, AND INEXPENSIVE.......2007-12-17
I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THIS PRODUCT. WHEN I PLACED THE ORDER I HAD MY DOUBTS, BUT ONCE I STARTED TO USE IT I REALIZED IT WAS WORTH HAVING BOUGHT IT. IT HAS VERY NICE SOUND TAKING IN CONSIDERATION THE SIZE. WHEN I USE WITH THE EARPHONES(INCLUDED)IS LIKE LISTENING A VERY EXPENSIVE WALKMAN. I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. IT IS VERY HARD TO GET IN THE MARKET A DIGITAL AM/FM RADIO AS GOOD AS THIS ONE. THE RECEPTION IS ALSO GOOD.
sangean radio.......2007-12-08
This radio has good reception while walking down the street. I live in a city with radio stations close by and they do not interfere with reception. I have used it in the lobby of my apartment building and it still has good reception. Even-thou the ear phones do not look like much they perform well. The manufacture sends some foam pieces with the radio, these go over the ear phones.
Good for cyclists.......2007-11-09
I bought this because I did not want to ride my road bike in silence in the night during the winter months. It's nice to have the company of talk radio. It fits perfectly into the front pocket of my Topeak Handy Phone Pack Plus ($20 on Amazon) which mounts to my stem. I like the fact that the channel buttons are near the top, as well as the volume. It makes it easy to operate during a ride. I don't like using ear buds, so the speaker, though small, is good enough and audible during rides. The reception is very good. During commercials, I hit the channel button to one of my top 20 favorite channels. I do have to plug in the antenna on top, and wrap it around my phone pack. Butfor me, this unit is about perfect. I did not give it 5 stars because for a portable radio, I think it is a bit pricey.
Nice and good quality digital radio.......2007-10-25
Good quality product. Very decent reception and dual speaker/earphone
output. Good value for price.

Solid performance, handy size, simple to use........2007-10-21
This little radio has exceeded my expectations. The controls are very intuitive and laid out logically. The switches, materials, fit and finish are of high quality. The display is easy to read. I live in a big city but my favorite FM station has a wimpy transmitter and a strong adjacent station. This radio does a nice job of rejecting the adjacent signal. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Customer Reviews:
You get what you pay for.......2007-12-11
Well, I didn't pay very much for this, and I didn't get very much. The uber-cheap headphones stopped working after a week or two. The reception is ok at best, even when outside. The radio can't seem to handle to cold weather very well and shuts off after about 15 minutes in the cold. Would recommend you spend more money and get something with more quality.
Another Satisified Customer!!!.......2007-09-15
VERY Fast shipment of product. The price was great. Item was exactly as described. I'll be doing business with you again soon!!!
Disappointing.......2007-08-23
This product is disappointing. The ear piece already doesn't work. It's bigger then expected and the radio station reception is not great.
Don't buy it.......2007-07-17
Audio quality is unacceptable. Looks nice, but can't play sound from a nearby strong station in the Bay Area. We bought two, and will be returning them.
Best I have used at Yankees Stadium.......2007-06-08
Most of the radio's that I have used at Yankee Stadiuom were either too big or not powerful enough for me to hear. This product is small enough to fit in my shirt pocket and powerful enough to hear over the crowds' yells. This also goes for other plces I have used this radio. If you like small, powerful radios then this is the one to buy. Plus the price was great, under $20.00

Customer Reviews:
Not as mini as I thought.......2007-11-22
It works great, excellent reception, great volume level but it is not as mini as I thought it would be, it is like 10cms long (like 4")... other than that, I love it.
Great Cheap Radio.......2007-09-16
This is obviously not going to give you great fidelity or longevity. I use it to run (in St. Louis) and have found excellent reception. The key to me is its small size. I love this radio and have bought 3. Sure, they've broken after about a year of use, probably due to salt in the electronics, but I keep going back because I'm not going to pay $50 for something I'll probably break in a similar fashion.
OK, you'll need to upgrade the earbuds.......2007-09-12
This is OK. Reception is fine. I had to get volume-in-line earbuds because #1 the earbuds that come with the unit are really not very good and #2 the volume is adjusted via click button, so it's either blaring or not loud enough. Not bad for the price when you consider the features.
I should have read the reviews.......2007-07-04
This winner (not) cannot pick up a station to save it's life and after one time of using it, does not turn on. Be aware that you cannot return this item if purchased from a seller other than Amazon. Thanks for the waste of money. :(
Worth the money.......2007-05-16
For an inexpensive item, it does what it is supposed to do. I particularly ordered it because of the neck strap and it works. However I had to substitute a different pair of ear phones as I couldn't get the included ones in my ear, too big.

Slide your iPod nano Gen 2 into the incredible JLab MiniBlaster G2 and you've got the coolest gadget in the world! This ultra portable stereo speaker fits right in your pocket and allows you to blast crystal clear sound from your iPod nano any time and any place... walking, at the beach, camping, hanging with friends, and everywhere you go.
Customer Reviews:
Just what I was hoping for.......2007-08-24
I'm impressed with this little thing. The case is well-made and has a very solid feel. The Nano fits perfectly into the skin and into the MiniBlaster. I didn't have difficulties with the fit like others mentioned. Getting the Nano out takes some pushing, but that's the way it should be. You don't want it falling out on it's own and hitting the pavement. All the Nano controls are accessible. The front, circular control (volume/scroll) works fine through a silicon skin and is very protected.
The reason we buy this thing is for sound and size. Size and weight are impressively minimal. You won't beat that anywhere. As for sound, it's not a home entertainment center or a Bose IPod system - it's a tiny little device that offers maximum portability. If you can bring your Bose system along with you, then do it. If you need something small and more portable, then read on.
The sound has a distinct clarity. Mids to highs are crisp and well separated. What you loose is bass. It's attenuated, but not dull or muddy. I wasn't expecting strong bass with a frequency response of 450Hz to 20KHz. It's not built for it and shouldn't be expected.
It's made, as others have said, for you and a couple of friends in an environment without too much ambient noise. If you are looking for a system that you can play at a beech party with a big group of friends, keep looking, because this isn't it. Too many voices chatting away will drown this little thing out.
In a reasonably quiet room or out on the trail, you get enough volume to really enjoy the music. It's loud enough to hear the detail in the sound. It even gets too loud for conversations and has to be turned down. Don't get me wrong, the neighbors won't be calling or stomping on the floor. It has what it needs to fill the niche that it's designed for.
I personally like the sound with the EQ set to "Small Speakers" - seems like a good balance for Classic Rock which I tend to listen to the most.
If you want a small, light and very portable speaker system to free you from headphones and make portable music a social experience between friends again, then you are onto something.
Enjoy!
Great for use while traveling.......2007-08-11
I wanted to be able to listen to podcasts and my own music while commuting and so first purchased (for $80) an FM converter that plugged into the lighter and my iPod and then matched an unused frequency to play what was on the iPod. The sound wasn't great and it changed depending on where I was driving. I spent a lot of time trying to find the right static frequency and match it with the device. In the short time that I tried it out I had to switch frequencies twice.
So, I looked for a speaker. I decided that it wouldn't be a disaster to buy something at this price to try even if it didn't work great. It was what I was looking for! I can use it in the car and also other places where I want to play what is on my ipod so that others can hear. It is not great sound quality, but it is much better than what I was getting with the FM converter and much easier. I can either use batteries or the AC adaptor (I already have a device that converts the cigarette lighter into AC power).
It is a great solution for what I was looking for.
Good Product.......2007-07-26
I recommend this product over similar products that are outrageously expensive. Powerful sound for it's size and easy to use. Great value.
Wow, under 15 bucks including shipping!.......2007-07-04
Don't expect too much bass out of -any- tiny speakers but as a way to turn your nano into a sort of 21st century "transistor radio" equivalent with stereo audio and a better sound quality, this little thing is superb. Talk radio podcasts are delivered very clearly and music can be enjoyed to an extent especially if you choose an appropriate EQ setting on your nano. Volume capability is decent, just don't expect to entertain an audience bigger than about two or three. Battery life is good for the 4x AAA batteries.
JLab Audio.......2007-06-08
The sound is good from the Miniblaster, but getting my Ipod in and out of it is a real chore!! It is very difficult to do. It not only is very hard to place in the miniblaster, but getting it out is even worse. I like the size of it as it doesn't take up a lot of room when I place it on the counter. Just difficult to use. It is also hard to adjust the volume with the "skin" on it.

Great sound quality for such a tiny package.......2007-11-05
I bought the miniblaster portable speaker in December 2006. I was amazed at the quality of the sound for such tiny speakers. Now, almost one year later, the speakers are still going strong. If you are looking for good quality pocket size speakers, these are a good choice.
A Great iPod Speaker........2007-08-08
It is tiny, compact (no wiggley parts to break off) it runs on batteries as well as AC and I am completely delighted with it.JLab Audio MBBG1 Miniblaster Portable Speaker for iPod Nano (Gen 1) - Black
STOP THINKING AND BUY IT.......2007-07-28
Best bang for the buck...i read all the reviews. just buy it. you can't beat $15 shipped. it gets the job done.
Excellent Company.......2007-06-11
My 11 year old daughter saved her $$ and did some on line research and ended up buying these. She loved them for the size which allowed her to take them into bed, on the bus etc. The audio in my opinion was "OK", but she was very happy.
We had bought them along with their noise reducing ear buds which I use while traveling in planes. I can wear them x- country very comfortably
Unfortunately we had technical problems and contacted JBL. I happened to email them on a Sunday afternoon and in about 15 minutes a real person (Josh) responded. A real person.... on a Sunday!!
He resolved the issue- which ultimately required a warranty replacement.
I cannot say enough good things about this company and Josh. I woudl buy their products again without hesitation
What a disappointment........2007-05-26
On my first foray into looking for the perfect mini speaker for my Ipod, I bought the Aiptek Mist for Nano (not realizing it only works with Gen 2 Nano)---boy, was it a cute little thing. Disappointed they don't make that product for Gen 1 Nanos, I searched Amazon for the perfect replacement mini speaker that would work with my Nano Gen 1. The JLab Miniblaster had 4 stars. Folks, speak up, because I cannot be the only one who was shocked by the low quality of this product!!
*When I first plugged it in, you couldn't hear anything because of interference from my TV remote!
*When I finally heard sound it was fuzzy at best and never got much better
*The volume level is only a smidgen better than what I can hear through my earbuds when they are out of my ears!
I read and re-read the direction and am convinced I did everything properly. I even tried it with battery power only, in the house, out of the house. No luck. This is a lousy product and I am giving it one star. This is being shipped back today.

coby cx-71 blk mini am/fm pocket radio with hand strap.......2007-05-13
This little radio works very well. Batteries last a long time. very light and small and sounds good.
Crap.......2007-02-13
This turned out to be a cheap piece of crap. It didn't even work right out of the box.
I wanted a small AM radio and unfortunately this was about the only one available.
I would have gladly paid a little more to get a quality product, but none was available in the small size I needed.
Good Deal.......2007-02-03
A nice AM and FM for the money...I like to use before I fall asleep or use when walking the dogs...User friendly..Great Deal!
Solid construction, easy to use.......2007-01-03
This is a very affordable AM/FM radio. The reception is pretty good overall, and the sound quality is fine. The battery life appears to be very good. As expected, it comes with cheap earbud headphones. I have been using it to listen to radio while I exercise. It looks pretty nice, too, IMHO.
I have two minor problems with this unit. First, the tuning is done with a dial on the top, so it's easy to accidentally brush it and mess up your perfect tuning job. Secondly, the earphones are just a little bit too short for my use, and can catch on moving exercise equipment parts. I've done it many times, and now one of the earbuds is flaky, turning on and off at times.

Customer Reviews:
you don't get what you don't pay for.......2007-10-01
Nicer volumetric dimensions than the usual transistor radio, but my antenna fell out after just a month or two.
Curiously you rarely get what you do pay for either. Ah capitalism... what a great ruse.
Better than Sony ICF SMK2.......2007-06-09
I like this radio and it's better than the cheap Sony with better volume control, audio, antenna design, and size. In addition the Coby picks up a few TV stations, and a weather station or two. The tuning is a little more finicky than the Sony but it is still worth the six dollars I spent.
Better and not better that the cx38 ?.......2006-12-14
I have owned 2 of these in the past, both of which did not last but 3 or 4 months. While it actually has a working TV2, or upper tv, band, The weather band never came in, and did not even come in when I used headphones, which also act as a wire Antenna Technically.
I cant decide if these were better or not than the cx 38, since it has no sensitivity or reception on the weather band. This is quite unfortunate, because this is quite an affordable radio on our budget. However, They were only 2 dollars less than the cx38. These are also actually personal stereo systems, because the built in speaker was optional, and it can with its own earphones. This is also about the only personal stereo system that I know of, which is analog, and has weather band.
I have yet to test the CX18, which was, evedintely, the successor of the cx17, and has a built in speaker and is a larger model, like the cx38.

Great For $4.99.......2005-06-22
I recieved this coby CX-17 for my birthday last year, while they were available at big lots. These radios are only $4.99 at big lots. The Weather band feature does not always come in in my location, but I believe that the reason why is because our police and all those kinds of those bands are on quite the same frequency. We are thinking about getting another one, so that we can also have the owners manual and the warranty. The reason why I need an owner's manual, is cause I have fake friends who can't always figure out electronic things. My best fake friend is E Roe Juffa. She sometimes wants to borrow radios, so if we get another one, she cam also learn how to use them.

Better than expected!.......2007-01-04
I purchased this for my 2 year old daughter because she always wants to listen to her older sister's and my expensive MP3 players. Rather than risk having her break the expensive players, I decided to buy her an inexpensive alternative.
This radio was perfect. Low price and surprisingly better quality than expected. Durable enough to take abuse from a 2 year old and continue working. Both AM and FM stations are picked up fairly well if they're local. Sound quality is pretty good.
My 2 year old managed to rip off one of the ear buds right away by sitting on it because the wire is very thin. I replaced the ear buds and haven't had a problem since.
Definitely worth the low price.

Recording Radio Dificult to Use.......2007-12-26
I was excited to find a recording radio at a reasonable price, but using it was less than exciting. It's difficult to program and the users manual is poorly written (I still can't figure out how to change recording quality). But my number one complaint is the fast forward button. It is difficult to push and if you slip, the recording is reset to the beginning and you have to start forward winding anew. I find it's best to break up long recordings into short segments but then you run up against the 5 program limit. The batteries don't last very long either.

Works OK.......2007-01-19
Hey, this ain't no iPod! This is a cheapo-beapo radio. Basically, it is something to listen to on the bus or while working out that you wouldn't mind losing. In addition, the radio makes a nice stocking stuffer for pre-teens. I'd just advise that you get an extra one just in case you need to return a dud. Finally, because the on-off switch is the volume control as well, it is darned easy to leave this radio on and kill the battery. And the tuning is imprecise. Geez, maybe I should rate it two stars... ;-)

Portable AM FM pocket radio.......2006-11-03
The size and convenience of the product is very nicely designed. The sound is not at good as larger and more expensive products, but that is to be expected. Since I just purchased it, I do not know what the future problems will be but so far I am quite pleased with the overall quality and convenience of the radio for my use in commuting.

The headphones(ear piece) stopped transmitting any noise after a couple of days. I wanted to use it at work , where I only could hear it.
