Really slick solution, if all you have to worry about are micro SD cards. I have a cell phone/pda that uses these and have several for various applications and data. This is the ideal solution. Small so you can use both USB ports on a laptop, works just like a thumb drive, runs at USB 2 speeds, and allows a quick mulipurpose memory solution.

This is one of the best things I have bought in a long time! Inexpensive, works perfectly and elminates the need to sync my phone using the usb cable. It's faster than syncing, and I can also add photos, etc, that I would have had to pay for pic messaging to get on the phone otherwise. It also is great to carry with you with information in case you need to access data at work/friend's house/etc. I have an extra micro-card that I keep in the reader/writer and it has my favorites for ie on it, as well as photos of my custom line of jewelry (I make hand-crafted artisan jewelry). I used to have to give prospective customers the web address to my blog to see my latest items if I didn't have any with me; now I can pop this in the usb of any computer and show them-increased my sales 100%. It's well worth the money; in fact, I am probably going to purchase another so I can have one at my desk, and leave the other in my bag for when I leave home.

Although I am using the MiniSD version (GFR201SDMP) of the same product line, I saw little difference in appearance between the two (I saw them both on display at a "bricks and mortar" retailer)...
...lift the door, pop in the memory, go to town! Love its size, and it makes for good durable storage for a memory card that I use frequently!
...two minor quibbles: I already lost the cap on it ... and a good durable place to attach this to a keychain would be nice. If it had a reciprocating cap/keychain hole, I'd give it a 5-star, perfect rating!

Blazing fast transfers with USB 2.0, great product!.......2007-10-26
IOGear card reader is really fast. I've used some other USB 2.0 multi card readers but this one is definitely faster. I went looking for an SD card reader in stores and everyone seemed to have ones which attach to your computer with a USB cable. I wanted something more portable and efficient and found this perfect for my needs. This one takes SD and MMC cards. There is another version for micro SD and trans flash cards.
Since the SD card goes inside it you can use this like a zip drive and it gives you the flexibility to swap cards without having to erase data. It is a military green color and the cap attaches to the body with a silver thread so it won't fall off. There is a tiny spring clasp at the end if you want to hook it on to something like a key chain.
