Change the channel on your WiFi.......2007-12-26
Maybe this will help some fellow customers. If you have a problem being knocked off of your WiFi, call tech support for your internet provider and they will help you change the channel on your Wifi so that you won't have inerference from the phone. Good luck.
margo's review.......2007-12-25
This head set is ok, I just don't like how the clip does'nt stay on. Other than that it's a great phone.
Best thing since Bell talked to Watson.......2007-12-25
I've used CT 10s and now the CT 12 for years. Can't say enough for them. I'm in a business where I like to have my hands free and not be tethered to a wire. At age 65, the volume on the CT 10 (no adjustment) was just getting to low on the listening end. The CT 12, slightly larger than the 10, solved the problem. On "medium" I can hear most people just fine. If I get a "low talker" I click it up a notch which solves the issue. I've never had to use max volume.
The CT 12 is in an area with three phone lines, DSL line, 4 telephones, two computers and a fax machine. It interferes with none of the equipment. The range is at least 60 feet. Headset fits perfectly.
One suggestion: I put the home unit up high on top of a 6' bookcase. It keeps the unit the furthest away from all the other equipment.
The pad buttons are small but that is due to small size of the pad...which is a major advantage.
If you want a phone that is both hands free and can be walked around with, the CT 12 is "da bomb"!
Skip it if you have a wireless router!.......2007-12-20
I really, really like this phone. Great design, great range, great voice quality, great Firefly headset.
*BUT* it crashes my wireless router!
I should have read the other reviews (though most of them were not out here when I purchased the phone) because I started having router issues shortly after getting the phone. I replaced my router (Linksys 54G --> D-Link DIR-655), I replaced my cable modem, the cable company ran a new drop, put in a new splitter, etc, etc... I finally figured out it is the Plantronics CT-12 phone that was causgin the issues. Oh, if I could only have my countless troubleshooting hours back!!
Stick with the CT10!.......2007-12-20
I sent back the CT12! I can't use the speed dial feature on the Plantronics CT12 on an already-dialed line to access my voice mail, so I have to manually punch in my phone number with area code and # sign rather than hit one button. ARGH!!!
You CAN do this on the older CT10 ! I have several long string numbers I frequently dial for conferences and international access, and I can do this with the CT10,using the MEM feature. Plus the CT12 you cannot use while it is in the charger base. The older CT10 you can pop it in the base, if your call runs long and the battery is depleted and carry on. I had replaced the CT10 because I really wanted the caller ID, but ended up returning the CT12 and just buying a supply of replacement batteries for my 10 YEAR OLD RELIABLE WORKHORSE CT10!!!! Because the CT10 is older, it DOES NOT interfere with my home wireless network. You can still pick up a new CT10 from people selling old stock on the internet, too.

Plantronics MX150 Flexible Boom Headset with 2.5 mm Plug Plantronics MX150 Flexible Boom Headset with 2.5 mm Plug
I use this all the time. it is so comfortable that you forget you are wearing it. the ear piece is very comfortable, and the mic is wonderfully sensitive.
the only improvement I could suggest would be a "answering" button on the line from phone to ear piece/mic...
Comfortable Headset.......2007-10-24
The headset fits comfortably in my ear. The sound is great. I highly recommend it.
Good value for the money.......2007-10-24
This is a good value for the price paid. However, even though the product seems new, there was not formal packaging. It just came in a sealed small plastic bag. I don't remember anything that showed me the product was new, which is what I wanted. I must say, though, it is working fine so far.
Plantronics MX150 Head Set.......2007-10-16
I was very disappointed with the audio quality. I do not use this item.
Great product........2007-09-21
Also bought their bluetooth unit that looks like this. Both are great products with good sound, good noise canceling mics, comfortable and easy to store. Good price and fits either ear. Recommended.

Impressed all over, then a fix.......2007-12-18
Big fan of this phone. Range is very good, and it does not interfere or get interference from wireless Internet and cell phones. Transferring calls to and from the headset is easy. The charging base for the headset and handset does not need to be plugged in to an outlet near a jack; the jack is a separate small wall-base which can be placed quite far away, that part needs to be near a jack and outlet; but can be behind furniture or tucked away.
The talking piece of the headset stopped working after 4 months, but it was replaced by RCA for free via the mail, under the 2 year warranty, which was really cool. There were no questions asked. Considering that I live with the headset on as I go about the house and care for the kids, the cleaning, and the cooking, we missed not having the thing around for the three weeks it was away.
We shall see how long the speaking piece holds up this time around. It still doesn't lower my rating much because the structure of the phone in general seems to be strong, and I feel the speaker stopping to work must have been a fluke. I will update if we continue to have problems.
Extremely useable, good sound, good battery.......2007-12-05
I purchased this phone two months ago, because my cats destroy wired headsets, and the constant removal and replacement of a wired headset jack (to avoid cat-caused destruction) had damaged my cordless phone. While more expensive than a cordless phone + wired headset, this phone is also much easier to use. I had serious problems with loud interference when I first set up the phone, but after I moved around the base (a separate unit not shown in the image), and used it a few times, the sound quality has been excellent. The battery is good; I've left the headset off of the base for 48 + hours with over 5 hours of talking, and have not yet had the charge run out on me. I am in a quiet household setting, and can hear the people I am talking to. People on the other end of the line sometimes get mad at me, simply because the boom mic pics up on cooking and dishes washing and other environment noises, so this would not be a good choice for a noisy environment.

RCA ViSYS - Call Waiting/Caller ID - Wireless Headset with Cordless Phone
I would purchase this unit again. The headset is great to use. No wires at all. For old people the size of the phone itself and its buttons can be an issue. The main drawback has been an echo that occurs with the handset maybe one out of ten calls. The echo is not consistent with any particular landline or cell phone number. All in all-- A winner
RCA Wireless Headset with Cordless Phone.......2007-11-24
I like the idea of being wireless but am not real happy with the headset. It seems rather flimsy and the mouthpiece slips around a lot. I have used it very little since I got it and went back to my ancient Radio Shack model.
Good Enough to Buy a Second Phone.......2007-11-01
I tried this phone after becoming unhappy with prior purchases of Blue Parrott, Uniden, Plantronics and GN Netcom headset devices. I have been using it for six months now, and like it well enough to have purchased a second phone today for use at another office.

great product for the price!.......2007-11-23
This is very comfortable to wear on my ear. I can hear on my end very well, and on the other end, they can't even tell that I'm on a earphone. Great product for the price.
works, hurts your ear.......2007-09-22
Sound quality was ok. Read the reviews here first, and breezed by all of the 'Hurt my ear after a few hours'. Well, it hurt my ear also. The wife tried it and she said the same. Bought this months ago. Its in a drawer now.
In my opiniion.......2007-09-13
I have used Plantronics products for years, I have also used the competitors. The clarity is far superior to the others and I like the design, confort/usability.
Works Great, Avoid Leaving It Out..........2007-08-28
This works Great and doesn't hurt my ear at all!! You can work the plastic part that goes around your ear so it is not as stiff and is Very comfortable on your ear. The only draw back is I have a puppy, this evidently smells like me when I take it off, and well, err, uh... well she has eaten two of them!! But A Great head set and evidently tastes good too!! I guess I should be happy, the last puppy I had ate a $250.00 Logitech TV remote. That by the way, was his last meal in this house.
Fine for a wired headset.......2007-08-26
Still I'm aiming for setting myself free on the next round. Even though I'm stuck in front of this screen most of my day and this wired unit is not bad I'm moving upcountry for the next round.
I use three different wired headsets - one double headset for Skype and making recordings, then this one which I change off with a Panasonic traditional style headset. While the Platronics is smaller that the other two my voice doesn't come across to the other end as well as either of my two other headsets.
Bottom line is the Platronics is a bit more comfortable, but doesn't perform quite as well. Somewhere between 3.5 - 4 stars.

Average quality headset.......2007-12-23
Overall, the product is ok. You could hear others well with a sufficient quality. However, as stated by others, one of its cons is the quality of your voice as observed by the other party. I was told that I either sound muffed or I don't sound the "right". For an average set, this is ok.
Look no more - this is a great headset for cordless phone.......2007-12-12
After I did the research and studied many review, I decided to purchase this headset from Amazon. The sound quality is excellent in comparison to several other brand/model that I own. Seriously, this product has exceeded my expactation for a $18 piece. You can control the volume and the mute right from the headset wire. I also like the microphone stick which is not the flexible type that is easily out of shape. The weight of the headset is pretty light and it fits quite well. I used it to talk on the phone and walked around, then I totally forgot that I was wearing a headset. The headset also works on my Motorola cell phone. The padding on the ear feels very confortable. I am happy with the product.
Great Headsest.......2007-11-26
This is a great headsest. The volume is loud enough and the sound quality is clear. The set is also comfortable to wear. At the same time I bought this one, I also bought a cheaper Panasonic KX-TCA60 and this one is noticably more comfortable and better sound quality.
great mobile headset review.......2007-09-01
when talking on the phone, I prefer an over-the -head headset and have tried every kind imaginable with very poor results ... poorly made, uncomfortable, bad volume and constantly breaking. I finally found one that seems to overcome all of my past problems and so far I am really enjoying a well made, comfortable, good volume, quality head set. For those that like an over-the-head headset, I encourage you to try this one.[[ASIN:B000ANOY7M Mobile Headset 2.5 Connector Vol/mute]]
Works Well.......2007-08-19
This headset has the features I want and anyone who has children will appreciate the mute button. Fits comfortably on my head and the mic comes close to my mouth so my caller can hear okay. It's lightweight and folds up. Good value and I've had no problems.

Good phone........2007-12-23
Good phone. Solid structure. Good sound and without noise in long distance. In my opinion poor address book (only 50 numbers) and the impossibility to upgrade the list of compatibility bluetooth cellular phones.
Just What I Needed.......2007-12-15
I purchased a base unit and one expandable handset first. I have been burned before by worthless phones. This system works so well, I purchased two more handsets. The bluetooth works with our two cell phone. A Motorazr maxx Ve and an LG phone. Neither phone was on Panasonic's list of compatible phone. The system works even though the base unit is less than 5 feet from my airport extreme. I have not had time to learn all of the features, but my son has already programed in different voices and songs for ring tones. My wife would never use a cordless phone because I always bought the cheapest ones. They were tinny and unreliable. Now, she loves the phone because of the good quality of the sound and the ability to intercom individual rooms. No more yell up or down the stairs to talk to someone.
Incredible Phone - Really met my expectations.......2007-12-07
I have been using this phone in conjunction with the base station for several months and I really love it. I use the speaker phone and bluetooth connection daily. Both work really well. My wife likes the different ring tones that you can select. I have no complaints about this phone. Great Product.
This one is going back.......2007-10-05
I've had the Panasonic KX-TG2000B for years with eight handsets through out the house and was looking to upgrade. Received this Kx-TH112S base unit, installed it with minimal set-up, that was good. The signal quality however was horrible. So we get the handsets from Amazon's vendor, eek Technology, I install one of the eight units and try it for a few days. Base unit is in the kitchen, my gym is in the garage, neither handset has a decent signal, all crackly, people I am talking to complain about not hearing me. Then I go to do the return only to read the fine print from eek that says they don't take back opened units! Based on this alone I would not suggest buying anything from eek! Glad I only opened one. We'll see if they take them all back. I'll be even more irritated if I have to pay for a phone I am not happy with plus the $63 dollar freight bill to me and then the freight back!
Cordless Home Phone System W/ Blue tooth.......2007-07-19
I've been looking for a better cordless for some time. I wanted to go to a system ( base and remotes) instead of several line connected stand land alone units as now exists. I stumbled across this Panasonic KX-THA19S purely by accident as I had no idea such a product existed. It caught my eye and as I read the features my eyes opened. This is not your typical inexpensive base and extra remote set system. Most of our outgoing calls at home are long distance relative to our home service. Hence, cell phones are typically used for most outgoing calls and some incoming. The bulk of incoming are on the landline phone. This meant having the two cell phones lying around readily available addition to the land line cordless pending where you are settling down. Having several common/identical phones (these new Panasonics) throughout the house is handy. With remotes needing only ac power for the charger vs an actual phone line to answer incoming either under the normal phone line or either of two cells is a Bonus. Being able to call out with the cordless acting like any of the cells or base landline is a blessing. You dial the number directly (or use the internal phone book)... then you select which phone you want to go out with by one button push. I have the base unit, plus 3 remote handsets in the house and one more remote handset in the detached garage so 5 total ( plus the base has keyboard so it's almost like an extra. You can program the system with any one headset and then send the data to the others. You can have the system use a different ring tone as well as handset color light up (LED) pending which way the call is being received. All headsets indicate if you have messages at the base voicemail unit which you can access from any of the remote headsets. With any headset, you can have an individually intercom discussion with any one which you select, or you can room monitor activity at any of others which you select. You can establish your own three way conversation using a combination of land line and cell phone for connecting the other two parties. The sound quality is very good on earpiece or speakerphone... especially with some of the available quality options engaged. You can link up to 5 different Blue tooth phones. OK for summary of the pluses though there are more. Now a few negatives. The far distance reception is good but not quite as good as I hoped for (ie weak at about 400 hundred feet away outdoors at mailbox. Similarly is so reception WITHIN (vs outside the remote garage (only being ~ 100 feet from the base). So distance and or barriers will limit useful range. You expect that, abut I was hoping for noticeable better range than my 15 yr old 900Mhz phones. It was marginally better at best. Establishing the blue tooth link when you arrive home (once programmed initially) is pretty easy. You select the phone link you want and then confirm it. But I have not found an easy way to disconnect the link other than taking the phone out of range from the base. You can go through a button push disconnect process but then need to reprogram that phone before it being selectable again. That is a pain. So a simple disconnect button similar to the connect button would make much more sense. Maybe there is a way to make it easy, but I haven't found it. Also, it appears the headset should accept a belt clip holder but none come with it. And lastly the price. My set-up/system has one base unit and 4 remote headsets. It was a lot of money in total. But this did offer some unique solutions and conveniences I never thought would be available. The build quality and performance plus features do make its hard to swallow higher cost acceptable. As the saying goes- you get what you pay for... and though I'm a picky engineer, I'm quite satisfied that I did get my monies worth... even though I wished it was a little less money.

Customer Reviews:
Frustrating and inconsistant.......2007-10-27
When this product works for me, it is very good. The sound quality is good and I am well heard by people on the other end of the line. The range is also excellent. My one complaint and it is major is that the phone does not pick up when I press the call receive button on the headset. It frequently beeps or does not respond and sometimes picks up well after I have begun using my hand held. So I would not recommend this product for that reason alone.
Not easy to set up, but wonderful for handsfree talking.......2007-10-16
Mine needed to be paired with charger even though they are supposed to arrive already paired. This created some stress and difficulty setting up. Then I forgot to use a DSL filter so the static was terrible. After I solved that problem, the unit worked great and I depend on it for all my calls now. I did place a container of water next to the base unit to absorb excess radiation. Headset stays off until needed. Great reception on all the settings it came with and great sound on earpiece and mic. Many ear options. Another plantronics winner. Highly recommended.
Excellent with an unforgivable, horrendous design flaw.......2007-09-05
If Call Waiting matters to you...
I bought this and used it for a couple of hours before realizing that it did not support Call Waiting AT ALL (unless you consider hanging up on your current call acceptable). The omission of such a commonplace phone system feature should have been stated up front - it was not. The "workaround" suggested by the Plantronics support staff is simply absurd and involves a five step process to "flash" over to the incoming call. As conveyed by the Plantronics support personnel:
1. Pick up your phone / press Talk on your phone
Note: The step above may require a short sprint if you don't carry your phone around with you.
2. Hang up the headset (this is NOT OPTIONAL, see below)
3. Flash over to the incoming call using your phone's Flash/Talk button
You are now talking to your new party on your PHONE
4. Click the headset button to turn the headset back on
5. Hang up your phone.
You must repeat steps 1 - 5 to return to your original call. The Plantronics web site FAQ states the following:
=========================================
Can I switch between calls ("Flash" feature) using the headset?
If the user is on a call using the headset and receives another incoming all, pressing the headset button will simply hang up the current call but will not transfer to the new incoming call.
*Important note: The "Flash" feature is deactivated when the CS55H headset is turned on. In other words, if the user turns the phone back on during an incoming call in order to view incoming Caller ID, pressing the "Flash" button on the handset will not switch to the other call.
=========================================
That said, the call quality and range of the headset was excellent and if call waiting/switching between calls is not important to you then you'll probably be very happy with it.
Great Phone.......2007-08-23
Gave it to my mom for Xmas and she loves it. She can go anywhere in the house or yard and have her hands free. It also keeps her ears from getting sore when a long winded friend calls.
Solid performer with good sound quality.......2007-06-06
I need a wireless headset that would work with a standard phone, but not take up my entire desktop and not interfere with my wireless network. This phone is the answer. It operates on 1.9 GHz so there is NO network interference and it has a very small footprint on my desktop.
The sound quality is outstanding and the comfort good enough to wear all day (which I do). You have to dial from your phone or PC (as I do) then pick up the phone with the button on the headset (works very smooth). The mic and ear phone volume are adjustable, but the standard setting work very well.
I have been using it everyday (workday) for about 3 months and have not seen any drop off in the quality. If I have any knock on the product, it is range. My home office is at one end of my home and I can't walk throughout my entire house. I would say it is very effective up about 35-40 feet. After that, I can still hear fine, but people complain that my voice is breaking up. I probably could place the base a little higher and improve the range a bit. It's a minor annoyance.
Love the product and would highly recommend to the home office user.

Cordless phone assessment.......2007-09-15
We are very pleased with the phone and its operation. It has very good range, is user friendly, and the intercom works great!! Also, the reception is very clear.
Expansion Handset.......2007-09-13
Needed another handset for my office and this was the best price around. Save a lot of money and it was really easy to install. The speaker function works really well and the sound is very clear.
Worst handset ever invented!!.......2007-07-24
I am a usability engineer for websites. This has got to be the worst design I have ever seen in a phone. If you tilt your head the wrong way, it hangs up on the person you are talking to. The design of it is so terrible because of the location of the off button and also how touchy the button itself is. I definitely would not recommend this phone to anyone. It will embarass you during phone conversations because you will have to call people back because you will constantly be hanging up on them.
Review.......2007-05-12
Good product, but because of placement of on/off button you can accidentally hang up during your call when handset is cradled between ear and shoulder and you are using your hands for some other task...
AT&T phone.......2007-02-11
I am very pleased with this product, however, the only negative I would say about it is that you can be checking your messages on the answering machine and if someone calls in, it stops you from hearing you messages. Other than this, I really like the phones.

excellent - all that's needed for the unit to keep on working.......2007-11-26
Frequently people will replace the entire cordless phone system instead of replacing the battery because they don't realize. This is all that's needed and a lot less expensive!
Battery Design Fragile.......2007-07-12
While I have appreciated the mobility of the LKA10 Headset, the delicate plastic hinges that attach the battery to the headset dialing box are very fragile if the unit slips from your clothing and falls or is bumped. A 3' tumble from my desk that doesn't harm my mobile phone has completely shattered this integral connection piece making the unit unusable until I purchased another replacement battery unit. So far I've bought three over a two year period - well before any of the batteries showed any sign of wearing down. To me this is a hidden cost due to a design flaw that reduces the LKA10 Cordless Headset's value significantly for me.
NEED EXTRA BATTERY.......2006-03-21
IF YOU WORK ALL DAY,YOU NEED A EXTRA BATTERY.A FULL CHARGE BATTERY IS 6 HOURS LONG.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING - don't waste your money.......2007-11-30
I thought this would be great to put on two separate floors of my house. One room does not have a phone connection and I thought this was the perfect solution! HA! I sit 3 feet away from the base that has a direct phone line connected and can't hear. On both phones, I get static when I walk out of the room that the base is in.
not a good phone.......2007-10-05
I just received this phone and it is terrible. The sound of the person on the other line is muffled (I tried it with a variety of callers and it was poor quality in all cases). Also, I proped the phone under my neck and it hung up the call. Got static going into the downstairs room. I will be returning this phone!
Better UNIDEN phones exist.......2007-09-23
After reading the first 2 reviews, I've decided to return my DXAI 5688-2 to Wal-Mart. The other Uniden cordless phones I've owned have been real workhorses. This model is not, for the reasons stated already. To repeat: Static, clarity, distance from base unit, can't have both sets on at the same time-bargain price for phones that are no bargain! Also, I keep turning it off with my cheekbone while using it. I didn't need the answerer anyway; currently Consumer Reports is recommending a VTech phone. I'll have to try it or another highly rated Uniden.
2 handsets but can't talk at the same time.......2007-09-20
from the manual:
"Make sure the other handset is not already in use. Two or more handsets cannot be in talk at the same time"
Basically, if one person is already talking on HS1 and you want to use the second handset to join that conversation, it's not possible. huge drawback for a multi-station phone, you can only TRANSFER the call, but you can't both be talking at the same time.
Range is a huge issue too, about 10 feet away from the base in a house with no TV or anything plugged into the electricity, and there is strong static, just from the walls.. not recommended.
Not lovin it. .......2007-07-31
I bought this phone to replace a 2.4 ghz Motorola that the buttons were sticking on. The static starts when you get further than 15 feet away from the base unit- I used to be able to walk my dog in front of the house with my Motorola!
I tried moving the base away from my PC as suggested (it's a home office, how far can I move it?)
