Whoa!!! That's bright!!!.......2007-12-21
So I love this clock...but it's really too bright. It lights up the whole room. I bought this clock so that I could listen to relaxation CDs to fall asleep...but...when the CD player is on, the clear rounded part that holds the CD lights up like a darn Xmas tree. I have to put something over this clock to make the room dark..other than that..It's great.
fast service.......2007-12-18
i ordered this radio cd alarm clock radio havent tried it yet it is a gift for my daughter but it arrived in excellant shape and with fast delivery
Bright lights and big cities.......2007-12-13
This item is easy to set (time and both alarms) and has fairly good quality sound although the reception is poorer than my previous radio. The main complaint I have about this product is that -- having an alarm as one of the features -- it would seem to me that most people would keep this by their bedside, like me. The problem is that the light eminating from the clock is a bright blue and illuminates the bedroom. I have to physically cover the part of the radio where the light resonates from at night or face away from the radio.
Great item for the price!.......2007-12-13
Ordered ALOT of these (approx. 80) for my workplace (skilled nursing/rehab center). Half went to each of the patients rooms and the other half went to staff who really liked them (quality is good, considering such a low price that I paid for these (9.97 each). Great features and easy to us(CD/Clock and radio). Not the best radio, but hey, it was only 9.97 each!
Way, way, better than I expected!.......2007-11-26
I can't believe all the 1 star reviews. Maybe it's just because the 3 I bought all work great. I actually LOVE the bright blue light. It doubles as a perfect nightlight for my son's room. The CD and radio both work great (the tuner is merely ok, but for 9.97 people!)
Taking into consideration the price, quality, utility, style, etc it is a 5 star value!!!! I would be happy paying 19.99 for the unit (but I am glad I got them for 10 bucks each!)
I bought one for my room, my daughter's room and the baby's room! I will update this if any of the ones I bought break down, but I sure hope not!
Happy Holidays!

It's different.... .......2007-12-01
Def. gives the room a certain flair!! I bought mine used & it was in great condition!!
Clock ok, projections is poor.......2007-10-23
The clock is ok, but the projection is poor.
The light for the projection is very faint.
The time for the projection has to be set separately from the main clock.
Unfortunately a 'no go'.......2007-10-06
I used this projector clock to try to project 3 feet in a mostly dark room. It attempted to project a 4 inch image onto a white paper on my wall. Unfortunately, the lines were too thin and too faded to see the image from more than 4 feet away. It did not work for my purpose.
disappointing.......2007-09-26
I bought the clock excited about the new features it contained. I thought it can be used internationally as I travel alot having a voltage of 220...it came with v110, when I used outside the US, I had to buy a transformer and somehow the problem persists. The digital clock (not the projected one) keeps forwarding its time in a really fast pace...not by minutes I wish, but it forwards 20 mintues in the passing of two hours!!! I cant seem to solve this problem...and I actually use the projector time at night but cover the digital one in tape so I wont wake up late...basically it sucks not even using the alarm because of this problem. Real bulky too, did not expect it to be that big.
A little disappointment.......2007-09-09
The projector isn't very practical in use. Because, the projection has only one degree of freedom: forward and backward; no rotations to left and right. I would like to be able to project on the wall on my right or left when the display is oriented towards me. Also, you have to adjust each clock separately. The other thing, it doesn't work from battery! Battery is used just for not loosing current adjustment in case of power outage. If you have no electricity, you will see nothing at all on the display! And the alarm buzz is really annoying, it sounds like a fire alarm. I always use the radio as the alarm sound. It works quite good though.
But despite its design problems, I love this clock; it looks nice and it is really easy to see the projection on the wall when it is dark. If you use glasses like me, and have problems to see the clock at night, it is just perfect! But keep in mind that in daylight the projection is not visible (which is totally normal). I could give 5 stars if the projection could rotate right and left, and if it could work with battery.

defective.......2007-11-04
I have been trying to get an RMA from the seller to return this item.
They do not answer any messages.
The item does not work at all. I would never recommend this seller to anyone
I doubt I will ever get my money back. What a RIPOFF!!!!!!
It was purchased fromANTonline. Read their feedback first.
OK, but very hard to use.......2007-10-26
OK, first, the good:
The build quality is pretty good, and the sound is good, the radio works well, and it interfaces easily with the iPod.
The bad?
The controls are HORRIBLE. The buttons have no feedback to know if you have pressed them, the alarm is really difficult to set, and very hard to know whether you have set it correctly - it's a crap-shoot to know whether the alarm will go off in the morning. I would not recommend this as an alarm-clock, it's a pretty good iPod dock though.
Works fine, but poor design.......2007-09-08
I got this alarm clock because it looked like it had a support for the ipod. Reviews for other models say the connection breaks off over time, so I thought this would be a better design. It actually turns out the little back support doesn't come in contact with my ipod. Not a big deal, but slightly disappointing. The other thing is the light display. It is pointed at an angle that makes it tough to read on any surface equal to or higher than my bed. Similarly, the lighting on the time display is horrible. The back - light is way too bright. I have decided to keep the light off and use my old alarm clock for the clock. The ipod functions and alarm works really well so I am not going to return it, but I probably would buy something else if I had a chance to do it over.
really nice.......2007-06-11
very well made speaker. the dimmer could be a little less bright, but the sound is great. it is surprisingly not lacking bass. it keeps my ipod charged, and it is not too big to fit on a nightstand.
i wish it came in black too. or maybe it does....
nice job coby- not many flaws here!!
and certaily worth the money. shipped in about 3 days.

great, but ..........2007-11-26
My 4yo daughter LOVES this radio. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 b/c the 2 barbie stories have no volume control and are LOUD. We can hear it 10 yards down the hall in our bedroom when our daughter listens to it to go to sleep.
One plus is the button to start the stories is easy to find and for a 4yo to push. The AM/FM radio and alarm settings are something an adult would have to do.
The projector is adjustable so you can aim it right over the bed. The frame around barbie's picture lights up bright pink while the stories are playing.

Customer Reviews:
Coby CR-A149.......2007-12-26
This product works pretty well. The outdoor thermometer works well and appears to have a decent range. The only drawback to the clock is that there is no way to turn off the backlite display and it is a little bit bright when trying to sleep.
Awesome.......2007-12-08
Small footpring for night table. RCC time updates quickly from atomic clock in Colorado and I live in Florida! Different color projectors show up great on my ceiling.
One thing to remember, this unit thinks it's in Colorado (Mountain time) so it has to be set for Eastern if you live in the east coast like me. It's easy to do, the set button held for 2 seconds makes the hour blink, then by pressing the set button several time you'll get to the zone. Pressing the up or down button once you're in the zone field will show M C or E for Mountain Central or Eastern. I chose E and ouala! Perfect time with no further setting.
If the power goes out you have to do this again but the unit comes with a battery compartment which takes Lithium batteries (rechargible). I chose not to put them in because my power rarely goes out and it's so easy to reset.
A true pleasure from my last projector clock which was a WIN for less than $10. You get what you pay for.
It doesn't have a digital tuner!.......2007-11-04
I was looking for a digital radio, so it would be easy to get the stations I wanted, but the only digital displays on this clock radio are the time and temperature. And the tuner is so tiny It's impossible to tune in my favorite stations. Now I basically use it as a clock and thermometer. It is nice to be able to see exactly what the outdoor temperature is... but I still need to find a radio!
Not As Good As Expected.......2007-09-15
I mainly bought this particular clock for the projection temperature display. The description says the sensor can be 100' away, but the directions state 50' to 60'. The most disappointing thing, which may not be stated for obvious reasons, is that the temperature range is -4 to 140 degrees Farenheit. I live in Minnesota and the -4 is not low enough when the temp. can be -30 in the winter where I live to lows of -45 in northern Minnesota. A better range would be -24 to 120.
Other than that, the clock and features work well.
COBY CR-A149 RADIO.......2007-06-28
As received, the time projector did not properly project the minutes display. I complained and Amazon quickly emailed a prepaid return label and, the next day, mailed me a replacement (before i even shipped the return). Bad things happen but Amazon minimized the aggravation-I was impressed.
The radio performed perfectly, and I enjoyed seeing the time and outside temperature on the ceiling. For a ski house this is useful. The wakeup mode is the most programmable I have seen - you can program by day. The only negatives are the auto time set, and the small tuning dial. For me, the small dial is not a problem because once i set my wakeup station I won't change it. The Auto Time Set is annoying - It resets to Greenwich time so unless you have battery backup, you have to reset the time zone. It uses three CR-2025 batteries (five for $5 at battery bob) rather than more readily available AA or AAA batteries.

Customer Reviews:
Buy a Different Shower Radio.......2007-01-14
I have owned this radio for a few years, and have these complaints:
-Battery life sucks. I stopped using the CD feature because the batteries would run out so fast, but even without playing CDs the batteries last only 3 months with the radio being used for less than 15 minutes/day. It takes SIX C-batteries, so it gets expensive.
-The "light" feature is useless. There is a button to press that is supposed to illuminate the LCD display to show the time or station. It illuminates the LCD display from each side with a little light, rather than backlighting the LCD display. It does not make seeing the LCD any easier.
-Poor station memory tuning. The only way to cycle through the stored stations is to press a button which goes one way through the stations. For example, if you are listening to the station stored in slot one, then go up to the station in slot two, the only way to go back to station one is to cycle through station three, four, five, etc. until you hit ten and then one again. Annoying!
-I found the reception to be ok, but not great.
-The radio is a bit large. Granted it has a CD player, but it still seems very large for a shower.
I finally bought a new shower radio - one with no CD player since I didn't use it anyway - and am much happier and richer because I don't have to replace the batteries all the time!
Only lasted a short time.......2006-03-08
This radio only worked well for about 6 months, then it died. I replaced the batteries with brand new ones, and it still wouldn't work. It was never dropped, but stopped working. I only got some of the stations, it couldn't pick up a lot of them. It is a little big and bulky, especially for the shower area. I've had other radios (non shower type) for 15 years and never had a problem. I would never buy another one for the shower, they just don't last.

Broke right of the box.......2005-01-04
I got this as a Xmas gift and it has yet to work right. I tried using it in the bathroom and for the first 5min the radio actually worked then nothing, just shut off. I haven't been able to turn it on since then. Neither radio or CD function will turn on which is odd considering the clock and backlight function still work fine. Don't know if there's some special buttons I'm supposed to be using besides the On/Off one. Also the model doesn't appear on the Jensen website, am planning on exchange for another model.
CD-R/RW?.......2004-12-02
Does anyone know if this item plays burned CD's? Doesn't say anything about CD-R/RW/MP3 playback, so I would asssume it will not be compatible with recorded discs....can anyone verify that for me?
THANKS!!!

Sangean distinguishes itself in the world market by combining technology and precision with quality and its orientation towards the needs of its customers. Most electrical distributors, dealers and radio specialists have Sangean products in their range. Thanks to this eye-catching characteristic, Sangean is the fastest growing market leader. Add to this the pleasant customer service and the reasonable guarantee conditions and it is clear why customers choose Sangean.PRODUCT FEATURES:Wooden cabinet;PLL Synthesized tuning system;RDS featuring clock time, alternative frequency, traffic information, station name, program type and EON (Enhancement of Network);Large easy to read multi-function LCD display;Clock and alarm (radio / buzzer);Rotary tuning and volume control;Rotary bass and treble control;10 memory presets (FM 5, AM/MW 5);3-inch 7-watt full range speaker with enlarged magnet;Bass compensation for rich bass;External F type FM antenna terminal;Optional external AM antenna terminal;Detachable power Cord;Aux in socket;Record out socket;Stereo headphones socket;12-Volt power adaptor socket for vehicle power;Multi-function infrared remote control.
Amazon.com Product Description
Boasting an acoustically balanced wooden enclosure and an enhanced front-firing 3-inch speaker, the Sangean WR-2 tabletop radio offers the sound and features of a living room system in a cabinet that fits conveniently in a bedroom, kitchen, or garage. Any discussion of the WR-2 begins with its white wooden housing, which is rich in both appearance and tone. The cabinet's front surface features the speaker on the left side, a series of intuitively placed control buttons toward the bottom, and a generously sized LCD display in the middle with three brightness levels. More importantly, the cabinet teams with the 7-watt amplifier and the acoustic bass compensation system to add warmth and depth to the audio. Complementing the housing is Sangean's advanced RF/IF electronic circuitry, which picks up distant AM and FM stations and reproduces them with unmatched clarity, making music and even talk programs come alive.
Even though the WR-2 is advertised as an AM/FM radio, it offers much more than a standard digital tuner, including a Radio Data System (RDS) that displays short text messages on applicable FM stations, along with support for the Enhanced Other Network (EON) and its traffic information (available in certain regions). And unlike most tabletop radios, the WR-2 lets listeners adjust the treble and bass levels via the variable volume control. In its default mode, the rotary volume knob displays the volume level from 1 to 60. Tap it once, however, and it turns into a full-range treble control, and two taps creates a full-range bass control. Additional features include a clock with an alarm (radio or buzzer), an auxiliary input jack for connecting such devices as an iPod or MP3 player (both of which sound great through the speaker), a recording output jack, 10 memory presets that help you quickly find your favorite stations, and a full-featured infrared remote control.
A final bonus stems from the power backup function, which plays the radio for six minutes during a power failure (ideal for emergencies) and retains the memory preset and clock values for about an hour. The WR-2 measures roughly 9.5 by 4.5 by 6 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 5.5 pounds.
What's in the Box
WR-2 tabletop radio, detachable power cord, infrared remote control, user's manual.

Good radio, but not for my bedside........2007-11-25
I had read all the reviews and decided to buy one of these for my dad (in silver). He absolutely loves it, but it is true that he looks at another clock at night for the time. He turns the backlight off on this clock.
I decided to get one for myself (white), and when it arrived I was stoked. It sounds fantastic, it's of a really good quality, etc. Too bad I can't sleep with it in my bedroom! The reviews complaining about the backlight are dead-on. The lowest-level backlight keeps me awake at night and casts an eerie light on the room (imagine going to bed with your computer monitor on). The mid-level backlight is bright enough to wake me up before the radio sound does.
And this brings me to my only other complaint: When you wake up to the radio, you cannot see the time. If you're the type who wants to lay in bed and listen to the news for a few minutes, you had better hope they tell you what time it is.
This is an awesome radio, but I'm considering selling it (too late to return it at this point). Unless I buy myself another clock to look at in the dark, I simply won't get any sleep.
Solution to a problem!.......2007-09-13
We live in a rather dead area for FM reception and unfortunately, this included our favorite easy-listening FM station. I wish I had a refund for every FM radio we have purchased only to find the reception very bad and full of static. The Sangean WR-2 solved our problem - reception is great, tone is superb. Well worth every penny.
Sangean WR-2 Rating.......2007-06-27
Recently I had to "give up" on a 35 year old KLH radio that was magnificent. After looking at several products, I purchased the WR-2 Sangean. Very compact, very clean lines, outstanding sound for a radio of this size - and it can be accessed either "manually" or by remote. It's pick-up of remote FM stations is as good as I've found in our location. A very, very nice radio especially or the modest price.
Night-time companion.......2007-05-17
Well built quality product. Easy to use features. I especially like the volume knob which gives smooth and precise control. The sound quality is very nice. Somewhat disapointed in the AM reception at nightime, but it does better than my other home radios. I won't name my first born after this radio, but I do recommend it. Very good value and well satisfied with purchase.
Best Radio.......2007-02-13
This was in fact the BEST radio ever....sound is excellent, convenience can't compare and a remote!! My husband is very finicky and this was one of the BEST products...highly recommend.

Disappointing.......2007-03-08
I am thoroughly displeased with this clock radio.
The alarm is a tone that is quite startling and there is no way the radio can play for the alarm function.
The weather band feature does not function and I live 19 miles from the nearest transmitter. The terrain is nearly line of sight with barely any elevation obstructions. I have a couple of scanners that receive NOAA weather broadcasts very well in comparison.
The illuminated front might be adjustable in brightness, but even in low setting it still functions as a good night light and is not pleasing for sleeping.
A disappointment.......2007-02-12
I bought two of these for kitchen and bathroom because I like to listen to NPR while I go from room to room in the mornings. I have a couple of old, bulky clock radios for this purpose, but they are ugly and hard to tune. If someone touches the tuning dial, I have to spend 15 minutes to get my station back. So I thought this pretty little digital tuner was the answer. While they were nicer to look at, the reception was horrible. Since it was impossible to pick up my preferred stations, I had to return them (at my expense).
A gift.......2007-01-11
This was a gift for a young lady. She was very pleased as it was just what she wanted.
worth what you pay for it.......2007-01-10
If you're looking for a ultra cheap clock radio with abysmal sound quality from the radio..this is it. Wasn't expecting Bose quality, but still. The most annoying feature is the blue backlight. I have to throw a towel over it just to get to sleep.
too bright.......2007-01-10
The display is much too bright, even dimmed to the lowest setting. I felt like I was trying to sleep with a flashlight shining on me.
The digital tuner works great though. I moved this radio to my kitchen and bought a new, less-bright alarm clock.

Too bright and cheaply made..........2007-10-03
This alarm clock takes very little room on the night stand and I love the touch sensitive snooze. I barely have to be alive to find it.
However, my husband has the same one and his "Set alarm" button sticks and his hard to press. Also the numbers are very bright and light up the room even on the lowest dimmed setting. I have to turn the clock away fom me in order to fall asleep.
Defective after less than a month........2007-08-31
I received this clock not more than two weeks ago and it is defective already. It gains over 15 minutes per week! Its not worth the shipping cost to return....just another regretable instance of low quality junk....
Nicest alarm clock I've ever owned.......2007-06-04
I just got this alarm clock as a gift and I was surprised by the quality of sound it produced. It is replacing a clock I've had since the late 1980s which had that "tinie" sound you get from small speakers. This radio has much better sound than that and I like the green hue of the numbers better than the red on many older clocks. You can even adjust the brightness of the number display, although there isn't all that much difference between the brighter and dimmer settings. The touch top is a good thing, too. No fumbling. It can also be put on timer if you want to use it to fall asleep and have it go off on its own. All in all, a really nice clock for the price.

CD/Radio Caller ID Phone.......2007-09-18
I like the product. It is a space saver. The only flaw I found in it is that if someone is using a second phone in the house and they hang up, the phone mutes as if someone had picked it up. Other than that the sound quality is great and I really love it.
pluged it in and it fried.......2007-06-02
defective item i would not advise anyone to purchase
Problems with Caller ID........2007-05-13
This phone, clock, and CD player all work beautifully with one minor exception. If you place this on a flat surface (like a table) you MUST place the phone back on the cradle in its exact position or it will not display any caller ID. This gets to be annoying at times as you must go to another phone if you want to find out who is calling.
Nice!.......2006-01-09
My order was shipped quickly and with adequate protection for the item. The company notified me of the day my order was shipped and provided me with a tracking number for this item. I am very pleased with my new telephone and would not hesitate to do business again with J&R Music World!
the phone of the century.......2005-11-21
First off the phone had really bad static in the ear piece, and I know I'm half blind but even my husband couldnt read the LCD on the phone. I really liked the cd option. But I really couldnt get past, not being able to hear what the person on the other end of the phone was saying. So I sent it back. Now I'm looking for another.
