Good price and value.......2007-12-20
I am a huge fan of the mouse...it fits great in your hands and has great features that are easy to get to. The keyboard is pretty good too, I only have a couple of issues:
1. Sometimes there are delays in the signal when you are typing and it won't type.
2. The set up on the keyboard could be better for the "extra" functions. They are not easy to get to since the keyboard is raised in the middle.
Overall, great value for the money.

Im hooked on the split keyboard design, so essentially the choices are this and the MS wireless keyboard. I had 3 of those, and the quality decreased with each one I purchased (I think MS has begun to rely on their name and not quality to sell those--ironic that). I finally decided to go w/ this logitech and have been very pleased with it. The only faults I find are that the right shift key should be a bit larger and the space bar feels kind of "dead"--it isnt very springy.
Other than that its difficult to find fault with the keyboard and mouse, it looks nice, has good solid construction and has a VERY strong signal, that can be picked up at least ten feet away (I just tested it, my room wont let me go any farther)--on my MS keyboard you were lucky to get 2 feet, much less ten. The 4 and 5 buttons on the mouse are well placed, too, unlike the same buttons on another optical desktop I could mention.
On thing though, don't let your cat spill water on it. Mine did, but fortunately the water got mostly on the numeric keypad, which now types a heart instead of 3 and a spade instead of 6 (that why I'm here checking out prices). Oh well, I can deal with it. I suppose that any water would do this, just not water spilled by your cat, but I don't plan to test this assumption.

I used to have a Microsoft keyboard with the natural split and this keyboard blows away the Microsoft version which is about twice the cost. The shortcut keys on this thing actually work, unlike the Microsoft version! Not only that, they are further programmable through Logitech's SetPoint software. The wristrest is very comfortable and it even has some extra, handy, buttons that you woudln't get with other keyboards, such as a calculator button. The mouse is exceptional and even more programmable. Unfortunately, I already have Logitech's MX Revolution mouse, which is also amazing. I use a similar Logitech setup at work and thus far I haven't found any significant problems to throw them out.
Overall, this set is the set to have if you wanted a split keyboard. The only drawback is that it's a bit tall, so if you want to type without pulling the keyboard drawer out, you might want to look toward getting the DiNovo set. I don't think I'd wander far from Logitech products and I definitely won't go with another Microsoft set in this lifetime.

This keyboard works great, is comfortable, and is even better than my old one, because it is cordless. It was necessary to replace the first(new)one sent when one of the keys collapsed after just 2 days, but amazon.com's service was amazing. One quick phone call was all that was needed to have another sent. The first was easily returned at no charge.

Heavy Mouse run on 2AAA Batteries........2007-08-12
Great keyboard. Great Mouse shape allow for hand to be in natural shape. For ultimate mouse wrist comfort, should get mouse pad with Raised Wrist Pad. One unexpected bad thing is the 2 AAA batteries added a lot of weight to the mouse that is cordless. Would that counter the ergonomic effect of other mouse features? Who knows?!
