I bought an Epson RX680 printer, then started shopping for printable DVDs. This HP is the first I've tried and I selected it because HP is pretty reliable and this was the best unit cost I could find, because other sources charge for shipping. I'm getting beautiful print jobs with this printer and these discs. I've printed about 50 so far. One of the discs was defective on the "burn" side, so 4 stars.

these are good, they have failed less than other brands ive tried so far, the print surface takes well. the only thing i wish is that i could take advantage of the fact that even the inner ring of the disc that is typically clear plastic is covered in printable surface, but this is no fault of the disc but of my printer. ;)
HP Makes a superior Product.......2007-11-24
I have tried just about every DVD-R and DVD+R on the market. I have used cut rate brands that performed well in some batches, then suddenly fell to a 30% failure rate. Some of the name brands have not been much better, suffering failure rates more than 10% in some batches. I have found HP DVD-R disks to be among the best available on the market, with a failure rate less than 2% on every batch I have used thus far. One feature I like is HP's printable surface, which extends all the way to the hub, allowing full face labeling. You'll find them in the used/new listing at around $30/100, an unbeatable price.

All HP media, cd or dvd, always works great. I've never had one bad disc ever. I don't have a printer that prints discs, I bought them because of a sale and thought it would be nice to have something besides the usual shiny surface to write the name of the movie on, I was right.

I made a purchase at walmart but they have limited quality blank DVDs and so was, Staple, Office Max, Best Buy and Office Depot they may have what amazon have at times but they do cost more. If you needed them right away, it leaves you no choice. I ordered this spooled DVDs to keep in my workplace for backup all my work data in the lab as I get more than 2Gb of genetic data per run. Having them was a lifesaver as my hardrive might fail when we least expect them.

I have used this product before and it works great. Once in a while I will get a disc or two that do not work. I was disappointed when I received these in the mail because the spindle was busted in three spots and the discs were wedged in so hard that many were scratched badly. There was no cushioning in the box. So far only a few dics are bad. I am otherwise satisfied and know this was just bad shipping.

Este producto lo confirmo es excelente, se puede grabar sin ningun inconveniente y lo más importante, la impresión sobre su superficie queda firme y sin dañarse a pesar del tiempo. Hace dos años compre esta misma marca y la calidad de la impresión esta como el primer día. Su superficie esta bien hecha por ello se puede imprimir sin problema.

Most reliable DVD+R for video recording........2007-05-31
I used to only get TDK DVDs, but then they started to fail regularly - almost every disk. I sent a package back for a replacement, but the replacements failed too. I've tried Memorex, Sony, & some generic ones, they all seem to fail frequently too. I didn't expect Magnavox to be better or even as good, but got them on sale, and to my surprise every one in the package worked fine. So I'm buying more.
Warning - 75% cd loss rate.......2006-11-19
I picked up these dvds because of the great price that I found them at. I figured "They Magavox, how bad could they be". Well, I used over half of the dvds and so far I've created a large pile of useless coasters. Most of them have either errored out or have been unplayable on any of my dvd players. In hind sight I wish I had payed twice as much for discs that work. What a waste of money. You've been warned.
