Multi Function Memory Card Reader.......2007-06-02

This was one of the only card readers I could find that would read both an SD and a CF memory card (both of which I have). It does exactly what it's supposed to. And, the see through case makes it easy to ensure I have the CF card lined up just right so I don't bend the pins as I slide it in. The only problem I had was that the included USB cable was bad. I had two cables from my cameras so this was a non issue. Plus, they offered to replace it if I mailed it back to them. I can't speak for cards other than the SD and CF cards, but I assume it works equally well for he other types as well.

I needed a reader that could read both xD and the High Capacity (HC) SD cards. This one does. The speed is fast USB2 and is at least as fast as my last SDHC reader. It is a bit more expensive than some other card readers, but I would definitely recommend this reader for anyone who needs both xD and SDHC!

I was looking for a small reader to carry in my Canon A75 case for connecting the CF card to various client's/vendor's/friend's computers. Also, I can use it for my cell phone's transflash card and connected to my PC running Linux, kernel 2.6.17-14mdv. Fits my needs, nicely, was delivered promptly.

Very easy to use and the speed is nice.
The item is smaller than I thought, and it support SDHC!

The only downside is that it add lots of drive letters (e.g. F: - M:) in your computer.
But I think every multi-card reader does this, so not a real issue.

I don't carry data cables for cameras or phones anymore. Something like this I bring along if I have CF or SD cards to transfer data to a USB enabled PC. Its good when you meet someone who had pictures you want to transfer off their camera and you don't usse the same format. Eforcity shipped quickly, price is cheap compared to Sandisk

Not as I expected.......2007-12-25

I bought it from Amazon couple of days ago and thought that it is very small and can read any kind of cards but all of them were in vain. Only few of them worked and Sim card, it did not worked at all. I used the cingular sim and t-mobile one, but it did not work at all. But SD card worked very well. Overall, i am dissatisfied.

Works good - But You Can Only Have a 13 Digit Description.......2007-08-07

I was changing from Cingular to T-Mobile, and needed to get the numbers from one SIM card to another, so I bought this.
It had little to no instructions with it, and the SIM card slot is finicky, but it does work. You just have to play with it a bit to figure out exactly what to do wit the software.
The only issue I have with it is that if you have a description of the phone # that's more than 13 digits (including spaces), it will not write it. You have to reduce the field to 13 digits.
Other than that, the reader works like it should.

First off, the device is very small, which is a great thing. I was expecting it be larger, but it no bigger than your palm. It works as advertised, it accepts SDHC and Memory Stick Pro Duo (the two formats I use which is why I bought the device) and for the price does the job pretty well. You do need an adapter to use Memory Stick Micro and MMC Micro cards. Everything else attaches to the device without an adapter according to the directions. One major plus is that it uses the standard mini USB port to attach to the computer, something you may already probably own. It also does come with a mini USB cable.

My only drawback? The cable it comes with is too short to be practical for desktop use but then again it's designed to be used on the go.

Did not recognize xD cards, tech support did not reply.......2007-09-27

When I plug in tis device in a Windows XP Pro SP2 PC, I see new drive letters for some, but not all of the supported formats. In particular, I use both SDHC and xD cards. The Transcend reads the SDHC's fine, but does not recognize the xD card. I e-mailed Transcend tech support and they never replied. I'm returning mine for a replacement.

The one shining feature is that it actually labels the slots so you know which slot is for which type of card- What a concept! Clearly something that most other competing products seem to have missed/ignored completely.
