I purchased this as a replacement for one that died. I had purchased several before ordering this one. The others did not work well at all. It seems that this is a hard product to manufacture and get it right. They hit a home run with this one. It does all that is promised. Very dependable.

I bought this product (new) because of its promise of being "heavy duty", being used to regular rewinders breaking down after a year or so of weekly use. Well, this one broke down within a month, being used 3 times or less. What a piece of cr-p. (Tried to give it zero stars, but system wouldn't accept it)

I ordered 2 of these and both of them will rewind a tape and, thus, save wear and tear on your VCR. However, the item is supposed to "open" when rewinding is complete, but neither one did. So, I need to stay near and open the item manually to prevent burning the motor or breaking the tape. This is a minor inconvenience, but I thought it should be noted.

Love it Love it. It is so fast and I can save my VCR player in my TV. People may not have VCR's anymore, but I do with kids movies and things I tape while at work. I think this little item is worth it wait in Gold.

The Magnavox Rewinders are wonderful. They are "Top of the Line". My previous rewinders, were also Magnavox, and lasted along time. However, since DVD players are popular, VHS products, like rewinders, are hard to find now. Most stores don't even handle them anymore. So glad I was able to order them over the internet. Also delivered very promptly too. Thanks for a great product.

I chose this item a few years ago because I like the Magnavox name. The rewinder made a terrible racket when in use, and soon it stopped opening when it's finished. I had to knock on the lid to get it to open. My roommate put a tape in the rewinder one day as he was leaving for work. That evening we came home and found the rewinder was still grinding away! It was overheated, its casing had melted, and the surface on which it sat was discolored from the heat. Of course the tape was ruined, too. Scared me to death.

This rewinder is the worst I've ever tried. The first one I got was dead upon arrival. I sent for a replacement and it worked for about a week then quit completely. Stay away!

I bought 2 rewinders. One works perfectly; the other stalls for 10 seconds after rewinding before it pops open. Not a problem if it does not get worse.

I bought this to rewind an occasional tape . It was gently and infrequently used , but began having problems after only a few months . Finally it quit altogether after about 7 mos. Not worth it at all .
Kinyo VHS Rewinder -- Find another product........2007-08-12
Purchased one in April because we had had an older one that worked well, but finally wore itself out. This product lasted...with little use...less than 2 months. I didn't figure it would be worth sending back to the company for a replacement that would probably be the same.

Ordered two, as the old one, same name and model, had lasted 5 years.
These two BOTH do not work at all. NO lights, nothing. Looks like the motors are missing.
ATNonline, who shipped them, said to contact the manufacturer. Yeah, they in China. But, ATNonline refused to accept the return, and also did not provide ANY information on the manufacturer.
AMAZON has refunded the money, but frustration over this deal sure chills my attitude.
Don't buy anything from ATNonline.

Kinyo works good but not lasts long.......2007-07-28
I bought two brand new Kinyo Super Slim UV-413 for ten dollars each. All worked OK and rewinded very fast. However, the first one could last only 3 months, and the second one followed the same fate; it stopped working today, July 28, 2007; it could only last for 3 months and 10 days!!! I don't know how to fix it. I ask some experts for help, and they just say, "Get another new one because it's cheap. With fifty dollars, you can buy five Kinyo UV-413, and you can use them for 2 years." Is it a good deal?
In short, this product is working so good, but its life expentancy is very short.
