Good sound but bad timing.......2007-11-25
I received this item as a gift and it was purchased at Target. Has a great feature set (the only thing it lacked was dual alarms) and it sounded great with my ipod. The only problem, and the reason it was returned, was because as others have stated it's clock ran extremely fast. I timed it and it only counted 58 seconds in each minute. Unfortunately it had to be returned because of this. If you're lucky and get a good clock version, you'll be happy with it.
Nice design, but can't keep time..........2007-06-30
I like the look, function and even sound of this player, especially for the price. It looks much nicer than it costs, and the sound is perfectly acceptable -- even good. I just have the same problem that another buyer has mentioned: it can't keep time. I've been through two units now in the past week, and both would gain about 45 minutes per day on the actual time. Within a week the clock would be hours fast... I may take it back and try a third unit and hope this one does the trick. Clearly not EVERYONE has this problem , or more would be writing about it; but clearly others have, too, so it's more than an isolated case. And zero for 2 is a pretty bad start.
BUYER BEWARE!!!!!.......2007-05-23
This is one of the worst excuses for a clock radio product in existance. We have purchased - and returned 2 of these. There are a lot of good features at a good price, but the CLOCK RADIO CANNOT KEEP TIME!!!!! Every 24 hours it gains approximately 40 -45 minutes. I will not make the mistake of buying one again.
Good features, no bass.......2007-01-31
We have a set of feature criteria which this radio met. However, while the speakers do an ok job in midrange and highs, there is zero bass. And I'm not a bass lover.
Features we wanted that this has include:
- Remote
- FM station presets. Reception is actually pretty good, better than the Emerson.
- Battery backup. Works for both clock and station presets
Cool But..........2007-01-14
This is a nice little unit to listen to music in a small room. I bought it to replace my radio alarm clock and to have a mini sound system in my room that would work with my iPod. It sounds ok, not great, but ok. Connects to most iPods, but I didn't think it connected well to my iPod video. The stand seemed a bit loose. The remote is good though.
However, my MAIN complaint and the reason I returned it is that the radio volume steadily gained to maximum when when I used the alarm to wake up. Man that was annoying. It did it when it first went off, and on every snooze hit too. I was ready to smash it up as I'm not a morning person. I prefer my music volume to remain at a constant mellow volume prior to coffee intake. This unit had to go back to the store.
