There are better CD players to buy..........2007-12-13
My wife bought this in a pinch and it sufficed for that pinch. However, it does not work as anything but a piece of junk you expect to get pounded to death over a short period of time. It would be far more cost effective to spend an extra $10 and get something much better. Our problems with this player are 1) it won't read many of our cds, especially CD-Rs; 2) it skips constantly and for no reason even after cleaning the laser; 3) it is not very user friendly (e.g. will only read a new cd if you shut the thing off, insert cd, then start it again).
Overall, I'm not sure it was worth purchasing for the pinch my wife wanted it for.

I ordered this for my daughter (6) who wanted to wake up to music on the radio. As it's hard to find a radio station locally that plays anything appropriate for a girl her age in the morning (and music), I thought this would be the way to go. Unfornately, the CD player wouldn't read CD's. These were commercial CD's, not CD-R's, but the disc would spin and the player didn't read it. In the meantime, we found something else in a brick and mortar store so decided to return instead of exchange this model. Amazon was great about the return.

This is a decent under counter television, suitable for in the kitchen, or other small places where space is at a premium.
The picture is decent, and the the screen easily stows away when you are not watching television. It also stows away when you are watching television. I often tune my Satellite to a music station, flip the screen up and just listen.
It also has AM/FM radio, and aux inputs.
All in all a good little TV.

I bought this thing from AMAZON. I threw it in the trash I think 2-3 weeks later. The unit has wow & flutter. The volume increased by itself, I had to keep turning it down! Finally, it stopped working (cassette) just before I began my bike ride home. I just took the batteries out and threw it in the trash. The light was good enough to find my stash in the dark if I got down on my knees. Wasted $40.00's

I enjoy this product now, since I have been using it. When I first received it I was a bit disapointed. The product has no rewind capabilities, you have to remove the tape, reverse it and use the fast forward button. The flash light switch has a short. The flash light will work but you have to move the switch just right. For the price and what I am using it for though, I must admit, I'm satisfied. It seems to take rugged treatment pretty good. Oh Yea, It has no recording capabilities either.

Cassette players are hard to come by and I wanted one to play tapes without the earphones. Books are best on the tapes. However this item does not work on the battery mode. Tried everything to get them to make contact and work. The machine still functions by plugging it in. but not what I had in mind when purchasing it. I am sorry I did not return it and then investing in a better product.

I am thoroughly displeased with this clock radio.
The alarm is a tone that is quite startling and there is no way the radio can play for the alarm function.
The weather band feature does not function and I live 19 miles from the nearest transmitter. The terrain is nearly line of sight with barely any elevation obstructions. I have a couple of scanners that receive NOAA weather broadcasts very well in comparison.
The illuminated front might be adjustable in brightness, but even in low setting it still functions as a good night light and is not pleasing for sleeping.

I bought two of these for kitchen and bathroom because I like to listen to NPR while I go from room to room in the mornings. I have a couple of old, bulky clock radios for this purpose, but they are ugly and hard to tune. If someone touches the tuning dial, I have to spend 15 minutes to get my station back. So I thought this pretty little digital tuner was the answer. While they were nicer to look at, the reception was horrible. Since it was impossible to pick up my preferred stations, I had to return them (at my expense).

If you're looking for a ultra cheap clock radio with abysmal sound quality from the radio..this is it. Wasn't expecting Bose quality, but still. The most annoying feature is the blue backlight. I have to throw a towel over it just to get to sleep.

The display is much too bright, even dimmed to the lowest setting. I felt like I was trying to sleep with a flashlight shining on me.
The digital tuner works great though. I moved this radio to my kitchen and bought a new, less-bright alarm clock.
