Last year I purchased the Sirius Sportster Replay, Model Number SP-TK2, for my husband for Christmas. It came with the car kit. We were both quite disappointed when shortly after the holidays, we tried to purchase the home docking kit for that radio and had absolutely no luck finding one anywhere! We even called Sirius and were told they were out of stock and we were out of luck!
I was so thrilled to see this Sirius SIR-STRH1 Streamer home docking kit at Amazon, and ordered it for my husband for Christmas this year. We hooked it up and it works wonderfully! We live in Southern California in a top-floor apartment. We put the antenna on top of a bookcase in the middle of the apartment, it's not even near a window. We aimed it up through the ceiling towards the northeast and it's picking up a strong signal, and our Sirius radio is working beautifully in our home now. We're very happy with this product.
So if you have an older model of the Sirius Sportster that fits into the SP-C2 docking station, then it fits perfectly into this home docking kit.

I was upset that Sirius changed the connectors on the newer units that forced those of us who bought the "older" style to have to upgrade. My Sirius radio (bought in DECEMBER 06, was shortly after discontinued and the new home docking kits for newer units would not work. (I didn't open and use it until JUNE of 07).
This item came BRAND new, fully sealed with all parts, including one that should have been included with my radio...an antenna for the FM modulator.
It works beautifully and now I can bring my Sirius sportster inside, and still listen to Satellite radio on my Home Theatre setup.

Antenna requires an exact, secure location........2007-03-06
I was unable to get a consistent, satisfactory signal with this unit because of the antenna; the rest of the unit worked fine.
I found that unless you had perfect exposure to the satellite that this antenna did not receive the signal very well. Also, the least movement of the connecting cord or if someone moved a blind/curtain, this would disturb the exact positioning required to make this antenna function properly.
In the end I returned this unit and got an extra car antenna (the one with the strong magnet); this allowed me to put an extension cord under the window sill to the outside. From here, I was able to easily find a site for the magnetic antenna that resulted in excellent satellite reception (exact positioning is not nearly as important for the magnet antenna). Since then my home unit has worked perfectly.

If you plan to buy this and cannot mount the antenna outside, forget it. I tried it in two windows with no luck. I ended up having to run the wire throught the window and outside, it looks ugly for now but it works great. When I receive the extension I plan to run it alongside my TV cable wire and around the foundation of the house. Great sound when connected to my home stereo system. Between the car, the home dock, and the internet radio-I think I end up listening to Sirius about 6-8 hours a day. I don't think it will ever get old either.

I bought this home kit to use at work and it worked awesome. Never lost the signal, even in 70mph winds. Was simple to hook-up and use everyday, then unplug and take home. Hint: was on a flat roof with 180 degree signal range.

Like B. Charles said, this kit can be used with the Sirius One (SV1) receiver. I received the SV1 as a gift and when I went to Radio Shack for an AC-to-DC converter (the SV1 comes with just the car cigarette-lighter socket power adapter), I found that I could get a home antenna (which sits firmly on the windowsill, unlike the little car antenna that comes with the unit), an 1/8" minijack-to-RCA (with a long enough cod to snake behind my stereo), AND an AC-to-DC transformer for a few more bucks than just the transformer alone.
As of the time that I write this, Amazon is asking for $34.99 (2006-12-28 14:04). It's a fair deal, but believe it or not, it was $5 cheaper at Radio Shack.

I bought this because I have the Sirius One in my car. Didn't want to buy another receiver (and subscription) for my home and backyard. While the package states that it is for the Starmate, it works perfectly fine with the Sirius One as well. I have no issues to speak of with this coverter and in the end it saves me money as I can move the One from care to home with no afterthought.

Great Addition for Home and Away.......2006-03-19
The components are easy to assemble and set up. You can use headphones (not included) to listen to the reciever. You can also listen via any AM/FM radio. I had no problems getting the system to work with my knowledge of the Sirius Satelite locations and basic FM waves as some did in previous reviews. If you have problems with this you are among the "problem getting the VCR/VHS to work" generation. The only thing I did not explore was the range/strength of the reciever to an FM radio: This can make up for the length of the antenna cable. The system is easy to use and a great addition.

This kit works well attaching the Sirius Starmate Replay to my existing home stereo. I live in Los Angeles, so there is no trouble picking up a signal. I do think $39.99 is pretty expensive for a antennae, power supply, stereo cable, and a little metal stand, but I couldn't find any alternatives.
