Weak belt clip.......2007-09-27
The padding seems adequate and is absolutely necessary because the belt clip does not work very well. It has fallen off twice this morning alone. I think the spring load on the clip is too loose and there is no overlap on the clip teeth. As a result it has fallen off both my belt and the belt loop of my pants. I do not have this problem with my cell phone belt clip and my phone is much bulkier than my ipod.
The only reason I gave this case two stars is because of the price. As the previous reviewer stated there is no screen or keypad protection.

I like the look, functionality, and price of this. I was unaware that it didn't have screen or keypad protection though. Besides that, the case is built well with padding inside, all features of the ipod are easily accessible, and the belt clip seems sturdy enough to clip the ipod on the inside of a pocket or for a stand when playing video. I just need to buy some screen protectors to fully protect but this case seems good if you want to remove the ipod to swap it with another case or dock it often and it seems to have good anti shock too in the padding.

Poorly made, and mislabeled.......2007-09-11
First and foremost, this will NOT fit the first generation Nano, despite the fact that its advertised as such. Secondly, the case itself was extremely poorly made (you could see where someone just "cut" a spot for the on/off switch, uneven lines and all). Not recommended, and beware if you're ordering this for your 1G Nano...

I put this on my iPod and within the day, I not only found bends and dents from minimal usage, but the hinges came apart completely after being opened only a few times.

I was going through cases every month until I came upon these JAVOShield metal cases. The ultimate protection for your iPod. The inside is even lined and it comes with a screen and click-wheel adhesive (removable) cover as well. The aircraft aluminum also does not add much weight to your iPod. I'd buy these again but I don't think I will have to since they are so sturdy!

Once in a while you will receive a product that is made to such close tolerances, it's literally amazing. This product is EVERYTHING it is advertised to be. It fit my iPod BETTER than a glove, it's actually snug and best of all, the interior of the unit is carefully padded! One caution, you place your iPod in the case one way, any other, and you risk scratching it, while placing it in the metal case! Once in the case, I suppose you could easily drop it on concrete, and I'm sure it would survive. I don't want to put it to the test, but the case is sturdy, hinged well and above all, fits PERFECTLY with my iPod Second generation!
I would NOT use any other case, with the exception of the heavily padded rubber case out on the market now, but my little metal case is sturdy, tough and is wonderful! I give this one (5) stars!!
I should also say it comes with the stick on clear wheel cover and the clear screen cover, that are easily installed. They sell these two things separately for about $9, so the package is a good value.
