You really can't beat the price and it is very durable. My video ipod is very beat up and so I needed something to prevent more scratches. You can't even see it on your ipod and it blocks fingerprints too. And a nice cloth to clean it with. Seriously, worth the money.

Works very well on my older iPod Video, but the curves on my new iPod Classic are a problem - the material is a bit thick and will not lay down over the curved surfaces.

The iPod is such a stunning looking gadget, you'll wish you keep it under armed protection all day. However, that's not much help if it gets dropped, or bumped against things while in your pocket, and we all know what a magnet it is for smudges and scratches.
Enter the agent 18 videoshield. This has got to be the best iPod case around. It comprises two tough transparent plastic pieces which click easily together to protect the iPod, screen included, leaving the headphone socket, click wheel, and base free for use.
To open, you need something (like a coin) to pry open at the slot near the top.
It protects your iPod (I've dropped mine quite a few times with no damage) while still displaying it in all it's glory.
Essential, if you want your iPod looking like it did the day you got it.

This is the best case I have seen yet. I liked the idea of a clear case for my iPod. It is a very good design that leaves the top and bottom open for connections. I'm able to connect my radio transmitter while it's in the case, perfect for my car.

Don't buy this-you will most likely be disappointed. the plastic is of low quality and it arrived with scratches and chips in it. the hinge is at the bottom (worst idea ever) the lanyard is crappy-weak-and will result in a dropped ipod. the openings are all too small. the hold switch opening is so small only a toothpick could maneuver the switch-not even a fingernail-it's really that small. the headphone opening wouldn't allow any connector except the proprietary white ear buds, and the opening for the charger/connector is flanked by two huge hinges-rendering the opening useless. the mechanisms that keep the case closed are chincy and unreliable, often too tight to easily remove the ipod from it's death chamber. the hole for the click wheel is the only good part of the whole ordeal. The only reason they got that part right is due to the fact that it's a circle, the designers didn't get confused and make it a rectangle-(close one...phew!) the screen is well protected- until the case inevitably cracks in half. when dust or debris gets encapsulated inside, (which it does) the case will ultimately double as sandpaper- a nifty trick. don't buy this!

I simply needed a way to protect my 5th generation iPod and wear it on my waste band or belt. I looked in the brick and mortar stores and found mediocre cases for ca. $25 to $30. For about the same price after S&H, this case is perfect for my needs, and it comes with a car charger to boot! The crook-shaped belt clip holds equally fast to waste band or belt, making this ideal for any activity up to and including a vigorous gym workout. The iPod is easily slipped in and out of the case, should you wish to remove it, but you should find no need to, since there are access holes for all ports and buttons. My only complaint is the instructions said "push to open". After pushing hard on the little button on the side of the door for awhile, I found what they meant was "push up to open". Yes, I'm probably an idiot, but I mention this just in case anyone else might be confused. The case comes with a lanyard, should you be interested in that option (I was not).

Clunky and useless!.......2007-07-03
I'll make this short and sweet - this case would only be marginally OK (clucky, heavy, and difficult to open) if I could use it, but since any set of earphones/headphones/earbuds that has a connector larger than the standard tiny Apple earbuds renders this case completely useless, as the headphone plug will not fit through the case opening. So my Grados, Sennheisers, Shures and everything I else I have in the house won't work with this case. You have been warned!

I must say that this product it actualy one of the best aftermarket IPOD products I have puchased. It does exactly what it is supposed to do, Protect My Ipod. I have no trouble opperating any of the IPOD's buttons and I simply remove the case when I charge the unit. I have not found that it impairs the functionality of the IPOD at all while keeping it securely around my neck. It is perfect for Jogging weight training and other outdoor activitites. I find it much less cumbersome than the armband or belt clip units as it does not impede my range of motion.

Well, it basically does what it sets out to do (i.e. cover the ipod). However it is just a tad to big for the 5th gen ipod 30 G so as a result it slides around once enclosed. That, in my opinion, will simply not do. I definately feel as if I wasted my money buying it and I am now looking for a different case (hopefully one that FITS).

This case completely covers the screen area. It has a lanyard for wearing on your neck, and also has a belt loop and belt clip. The earphone jack hole can use some enlargement with a drill bit to accommodate larger jack casings. The case is rugged. It is a bit tricky to remove the dock connector cable. It is the best case I have found for a 5G or Classic.

i got this for my 30 gig..it works great. I use it when driving but i know im not supposed to. To recharge, you have to take it out of the case. Also.the hole for the headphone may need to be enlarged using a drill...other than than..cant beat it..and it keeps ur ipod prestine!

ipod clear case holder.......2007-03-19
i own a 60 gig photo ipod, and the description clearly states that the ipod i own will fit in to the cleaar case holder. The ipod fits snug into the holder, however... the case will not close at all. It requires at least a 1/16 of an inch to be fully closed and secure. I would not recommend this product at all it is a waste of money.
