Exactly What I Was Looking For.......2007-10-25
I was searching for a clear case for my 1st Gen iPod Nano, one that would let me charge it in its case, protect it from scratches, and be as minimalist looking as possible; this one from Contour really fit the bill.
Personally, I like how it looks in the case better than outside of it, and the belt clip is handy as well (plus its easily removable while at the same time sturdy). I've only had this product for a few days, but I just wanted to share my satisfaction.

My son bought me this case for Christmas, and I'm delighted with it.
The case is made from perfectly clear hard plastic. It completely encloses the nano, protecting the screen and exterior from scratches and fingermarks, while still giving easy access to the controls. It fits the nano perfectly, so there's no chance of it rattling around inside or getting scratched by the case itself. And the whole thing is thin enough that you maintain most of that amazing nano asthetic compactness.
The case comes with a large detachable plastic belt clip that looks very cool, and which is very handy. There's also some way you can use the clip and the case as a lanyard and for headphone storage, but I never really bothered with it.
After eighteen months, the case is pretty scratched up, but my iPod isn't, which makes the product a success in my book. The good news is, the cases are still available right here, so I've bought a few replacements for the next few years.
I haven't seen a better case for the 1st Gen iPod nanos. Buy it.

It's a nice little case at a fair price, and the seller shipped it super-fast. However the fact that the case doesn't allow me to insert a headphone jack makes it pretty useless for traveling about.

uhhhggg, i am so mad. when you buy an ipod cover or skin what do you want to protect. Duh, the stupid screen. The reviews of this product said that it protected the screen, but guess what? it doesn't. IF your looking for a cover that protects the screen don't buy this.

I bought this hoping it would protect my ipod screen because of the misleading photo above. I thought this would protect my screen. I was wrong. The screen will break very easily with enough pressure so this case really doesnt do its job. there is no plastic protection of the screen. that along with apple refusing to cover screen damage. makes this case useless.
A puzzle to open but a great fit.......2007-11-08
There's no easy way to open this case because it's small, both sides are firmly clasped together, and there's only a small slit on the closed end in which to put a fingernail to separate the sides. Once the sides are pried apart, the iPod nano fits perfectly and the two sides of the case easily come together with a snap. Be careful that the inside of the case and the nano itself are clean, because if a hair or a stray piece of dirt gets trapped inside, especially in the screen area, it will be highly visible, and getting the front and back sides of the case apart is even more difficult once the iPod is in place. The protection this case provides is excellent, and the iPod looks great inside its transparent sides. With all this in mind, the case can't be beat, especially at this price.

I also agree that when opening this case you need to be VERY careful! Once my iPod is inside though, I'm pretty happy with it. The case does cover the screen, and is tough enough to prevent the scratches I was getting. My blue iPod even looks kind of pretty in the crystal clear case, which is a plus! The click wheel is accessible, as is the hold switch, docking connection, and earbud jack. I'm not sure what the description means when it says that it comes with an armband slot for convenience. Mine does not seem to have any such thing. I will need to take the case off in order to fit it into my armband, but it does not bulk up the iPod too much. I can still fit it into my front jeans pocket. Overall, this product is exactly what I needed to protect my iPod from minor scratches during everyday use.

Great for working out, chores, walking... whenever you don't want to carry your ipod in your hand or pocket.
It required a bit of strength to pull the arms off to change the neck size piece.
The instructions could be written a little clearer but with a few tries you should get it.
I wasn't able to keep my protective case on (Belkin, hard style case with clear cover over screen & touch wheel). It was either too lose or I couldn't get the strap to stretch far enough. One of those silicone sleeves *should* be okay as they are thinner.

This product really works. Ever since I got it, I have been using it when I jog. Stay put and does fall off. Also, found I can use it around the house doing yard work. It really is hands free. Once I figured it out, changing music is a snap. With the different sizes included, my wife is also using it. It is definitely on my holiday gift list for my iPod family.

I ordered 2 nekfits, a Black one for me and a clear for my wife. And sure enough, it works just as advertised from what I see as I have only worn mine once. I showed it to a friend that thought "this can't be comfortable or stay on for my style of working out." She cam to me the next day and said, "Wow, I'm keeping it, thanks!" My wife came back from a recent trip to visit friends without her's as well. Same story. I've order 2 more and this time they are staying on MY next. Buy your own!
The one cool thing that my friend, that stole my NekFIT, told me out about the strap, is that it has these raised lines that work as guides for your fingers to find the forward, back, and stop controls on the NekFIT. I thought they were just re-inforced areas. Turns out they have a reason. Pretty cool product.

I have the black one, I got it before the clear came out. I love it. Within 2 minutes of wearing it, you don't even notice it on your neck. It is so comfortable and light. I don't pick songs, I just forward to the next song when I get bored and that is super easy to do with the NekFIT. It is perfect for walking, biking, and my friend has even used it for yoga. It is also great for listening while working on the computer.

I guess it's a good product...it fits my ipod pretty well, but I was really disappointed when I opened it. It looks nothing like the one in the picture, the lanyard is completely different (and tacky/ugly/cheap-looking, in my opinion). Plus, it doesn't protect the click wheel at all and the belt loop in the back is completely open for dust, etc. Oh well...I'm not dissatisfied enough to do anything about it.

This case is as good as any $30 case, and more attractive than most of them. Mine does not have any of the issues the previous reviewer identified. I have a Nano 2G - the case fits it snugly and locks around it. There are a few odd design choices to be aware of, however. First, as previously noted, the Ipod hangs right-side up (in otherwards, looking down at it hanging around your neck, it is up-side down, and therefore slightly less convenient to fiddle with). There is a rigid belt "loop" on the back, not a clip, so if you want to put the case on your belt, you'll have to actually thread your belt through it. Finally, the lanyard snaps together behind your neck like a necklace. The connection is snug, but it seems kind of pointless. Nevertheless, this is a great product for $4 bucks.

This little gem of a case does fit the new Nano nicely. The lanyard is handy and the clip on the back unobtrusive and works as long as what you're clipping to isn't too wide. My only concern is the side latches seem a little loose to me, so I wonder how well they will hold and how long it will take till my Nano falls out if I use the lanyard. I might use a small bit of tape or other adhesive on the sides for more security. It might have been nice to have the lanyard connection from the bottom so when you were wearing it you could just tilt it up rather than having to twist it around to read the screen. Just a suggestion.

I am very glad I have a case like this. it protects the screen very well, keeps dirt from getting into docking port unless you flip a special hatch open to plug into your computer, protects the ipod (excluding scroll wheel) from peircing, bludgening, and fall damage very well. my one problem with it is they should widen the earbud jack on the case so you can easily fit wider plugs in your ipod.
