Does what you want it to. Offers good protection from an accidental drop and scuffs. Easy to flip open and closes securely. Real leather, nice design. I've had the silicone sleeves, the plastic crystal, and now this.

This case really works well. It's made with quality leather and has perfectly accessible cut-outs for wire connection. It also has a belt clip and comes with a protective window for your iPod video screen. Even though this protective screen is good, it's the one thing I don't like because it got scratched and I can't get the scratch out. I also use clear protective sheets that really work. I have been thinking about cutting the plastic off the leather case and just relying on my protective sheets, because when they get scratched you simply replace them and your screen is good as new.

Really Good Value.......2007-09-16
I was rather suprised at the build quality of this case. The leather is quite nice and the magnetic latch is brilliant. I would highly recommend a screen protector in conjunction with using this case. The reason being, the ipod is quite snug in the case but it tends to rum the inside of the case if you remove or place the ipod in the case. This will then lead to scratches and smudges. Well worth the price, good buy.

The product itself is sleek and good looking enough, durable and real leather.
The two stars are for one reason. The stitching on the inside may scratch the face
of your iPod. So if you dont mind this, then go ahead and give it a try. I myself do not
want this and it kind of defeats the purpose of having a cover. I am returning it ASAP!
Do yourself a favor and open the box before you leave the store. Run your fingers along
the inside and check for this with any leather iPod case.
Great product, minor flaw.......2007-05-23
Have had for nine months. This is the second one I have ordered, both came in a box labeled in different places as made for 30g and 60g. First one fit loosely, assumed it was 60g, returned for a second one which fit much better.
Pros:
1. great fit, ipod not in danger of slipping out.
2. good protection, only small areas of both sides near top exposed when closed. front flap is stiff, for protection of face.
3. has screen protector; no click-wheel protector, I simply left the plastic screen that comes on the iPod on mine, works for me.
Con:
1. deducted one star: the belt clip is very strong and low profile, but the leather is thin enough that by sliding it on and off belts or other items the leather under the clip erodes. Probably not a deal breaker as no other areas are wearing down, but they could have improved construction in this one area.
Would definitely buy again.
Better than most other 30G Video iPod cases I've seen..........2006-09-11
...and believe me, I've examined a few! The iPod is a sleek little device and I really think the case you choose to protect it in shouldn't detract from that.
Other cases I bought and tried added to the iPod's size and even though they were described as leather, they weren't. This case is different. Snugly fits the 30G iPod with a plastic window protecting the screen. The click-wheel is exposed for use once the lid of the case is opened, but is protected by the lined lid once closed. All openings are well placed for the headphone jack and the connector at the bottom. You have to open the case to get at the hold button though.

I'm a big fan of the leather and faux-leather iPod cases, and this looked like a great one to acommonpany the gift of a new 30 gig iPod video. The iPod fits in with no slippage (it won't move around and scratch up the screen), and the small magnet holds the top shut when not in use. My only problem with it is that when you're trying to watch a movie, you have to either hold the top flap behind it with your hand or balance it on top of the headphone jack, otherwise it will try to flap down and cover the screen. Just something to keep in mind.
