BROKE MY PALM TX!!!!!!!.......2007-11-15
Their DEFECTIVE product caused my palm tx to BREAK! I used the armor case and the belt clip that came with it the very day I got the package. My palm fell on the ground! Turns out the screw at the back of the armor case which was attatched to the belt clip was loose. Now my palm is broken. I emailed boxwave and this is the reply I got: "Our liability policy prevents us from providing additional compensation for it. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you."- All they offered was to replace the DEFECTIVE armor case with another one. As if I would ever trust their product again!!!
Worth It.......2007-11-11
The case design is awesome, but steer clear of the metallic version. It scratches easily. Now I've got the black version and LOVE it. I like how the case protects my entire Palm TX. Not one corner of my TX extends beyond the case so if I ever drop it, it may be jostled, but not totally destroyed. The cut outs give you ample room to work with when turning it off or on and using cords, memory cards, or the stylus. There's even a little cut-out in the back for the speaker. The case latch is solid and doesn't pop open. Inside, there's a soft felt lining and slots for 2 memory cards. I don't use the belt clip, so this case is just fine for me and the price is right too.

i have a palm tx just for studying chinese using plecodict software.. my pda wouldn't have survived my travels over summer w/o this case. excellent construction and durability, still looks brand new after 5 months of wear and tear. love it.

I wish I could give this 0 stars. I got this for my Palm TX, but as another reviewer experienced, the damn case wouldn't close!! The screw on the back doesn't seem very stable either. I just sent BoxWave an email complaining about this and demanding all of my money back, including shipping charges. What a crappy product. I think I'm going to try the Rhinoskin one instead.
Not good for the Palm TX.......2007-09-05
I just got the newest version of the Palm TX--and I'm not sure if they've changed the dimensions or anything--but this case does not close when I put my Palm TX in it. That's right, it doesn't work with the new TX. There is a small piece of plastic that is supposed to keep the palm in the case, but this is preventing the case from closing because the palm is too large.
FYI. I will probably keep the product and just break off the little piece of plastic. But just so you know, don't buy this hardcase if you're getting a NEW Palm TX (with wi-fi and such).

Good, but Ugly.......2007-11-05
I bought this case after I received a Palm TX 2 years ago because I liked the sleek look. The case itself is sturdy and has protected my TX well, but aesthetically, it has not aged well and looks like it's taken a beating, even though it's only been sitting in either my attache or purse. The case is susceptible to scratches and blemishes that I can't seem to get rid of, no matter how hard I try. Although I should remember that "looks aren't everything" and that this hard working case has done a great job of protecting my TX these past 2 years, the metallic silver version is not for me, so I'm ordering the black version as a replacement.
Okay case for the Palm TX.......2007-09-21
This is a fairly solidly built and reasonably protective case for the Palm TX (I didn't try it with a Palm T5, but they are supposed to be practically identical in size/shape.) It has appropriate cutouts for all the important connectors and buttons, as well as the speaker.
This case is nearly identical to the Saunders-made "PalmOne TX/T5" case (Palmone Tungsten TX/T5) -- right down to the backwards SD card slots -- with a few minor differences.
1) The latch to open/close the case is slightly different. I actually think the latch on this case is easier to open, especially one-handed -- but it's also more likely to be knocked open while rattling around in a bag, since it sticks out more.
2) The backside, inexplicably, has four metal "feet" in the corners. I guess this would help it to stay more flat when laid on a table, but it also makes it more likely to scratch surfaces.
3) The belt clip with this one seems crappier. Neither case is one I would recommend for extensive on-the-hip usage, though.
4) The finish isn't quite as nice, and the hinge seems maybe a little more fragile. On the other hand, this case does come in black as well, while the other one is only in silver.
5) The cutouts are simpler on this case, and maybe a tad less protective on the top of the PDA.
6) The Saunders model comes with a free StuffBak recovery label (they offer a small cash reward for return of the item, and you can post an additional one. Two years of service are included free with their case, and after that they charge you something like $25 if your item is lost and returned to them.)
Ultimately, I went with the Saunders case. However, if you want a T5/TX case with a black finish, this is probably the best choice available.
A Must Have.......2007-07-19
I have a Palm TX that I use multiple times per day at work. The last PDA I owned did not have a hard case because I couldn't find one to fit it. After several times of being dropped, it was trash. The screen cracked & the buttons were out of place. So, before buying my next PDA I made certain that I could get a hard case to fit it perfectly. The Palm TX with this case are a perfect combo. It is a little on the heavy side, but definately sturdy. I use it ALOT & so it has been dropped a few times, with no damage. There is a cushion lining in the case with two slots for memory sticks. It snaps closed firmly & has openings in all of the right places so you don't have to open it to charge, hot sync, remove/insert a card, or turn on. It has an opening in the back for the TX speaker. You won't be sorry

I've had mine for a couple months now.
It's very solid and looks great.
I've only dropped my Palm once but its slipped off of things twice. The case cushioned my Palm TX just fine.
What could be better is:
1. If the outside finish were slightly rubberized. As is this puppy is very slick. In your hand or just about any surface you place it on. To slick.
2. It were hinged on the top instead of the side. I have large hands and holding this case open in my hand during use is straight up a pain in the hand. And don't forget the part above about this case being slick which makes it an even bigger pain to juggle. It would be much easier to use if it were hinged on the top. Placing the hinge on top would also work to ensure that the memory card doesn't accidently pop out.
I love this case but the two flaws have me looking for another case and recommending that you keep looking for another, more functional case.

I didn't specially liked it. I found it bit rough on the edges, and it gets scratched really easily. But it does the job of protecting my palm.

Being so mindless as I am, I needed a case like this. I just got it and it already felt on the hard pavement withouth getting a single scratch to the PDA.

After using this case for a while, I found the top cover did not close properly as it did when I purchased it. The top cover can either slip inside, or to the outside of the lip on the top left hand side of the case. I am referring to the small metal tab, that supports the case cover when closed, located to the left and above the Axim device lock button, when your Axim is in the case. This poor fit causes the Axim to get squeezed a bit, at the point where the Axim microphone is. The case is not properly designed to ensure that this pinching or squeezing does not occur. The case also has no secure locking mechanism, to prevent the case from popping open if you should drop it. This would potentially expose your Axim to screen damage.
Didn't justify my expectations.......2007-03-10
This case didn't justify my expectations because first of all it looks cheap and built cheap (when you close it frames look a little asymmetric). My case is black so if you drop it by occasion it will have scratches. Another thing that I didn't like at all is that you can't use your cradle while your Dell is in the case. Also it doesn't work in my car's mount. It means that you have to pull your Dell out all the time (when you do it too often, fastenings on the case loosen). I wouldn't buy one like this anymore for this price. If it cost me $5, I would think...

I just received this for Christmas and so far I am impressed. The case feels very sturdy with easy access to all the side buttons and expansion ports when open or closed. The padded interior gives a nice snug fit while not scratching the Axim. I haven't tried the belt clip yet since I probably won't be using it but it's a nice feature to have.
Hard Case for Axim X51v.......2006-10-30
I bought my Axim with the Rhinoskin silicon rubber case; its a tight squeeze into many of my shirt pockets. I will give this a try. So far, so good. The belt clip feels very secure and the quick release is very positive. It has a nice click to it, you know when it when its engaged or released. I won't know if it rates 5 stars until it reaches a year old without incident.

The armor case does protect the rx 5915 and has a clip that lets you put the device on your belt. But the metal case also blocks the GPS signal. So if you intend to use the GPS functions of the rx5915, you'll have to take it out of the case. I think there are non-GPS versions of the iPaq rx5915--this was probably intended for them.

If you have a Palm Z22, this is the best product you can buy. This case will hold your Palm Z22 in place with no need of velcro or any straps. Although the item scratches easily on the outside, it keeps your pda safe and scratch free. I love the fact that it is not too bulky or heavy. Would highly recommend this item for those who have active lives and require heavy protection on your pda.

Don't be fooled by the negative reviews. This is a great product. It is for a palm Z22, not a TX, so that could be the problem for some reviewers. My palm has been really well protected by this case, it doesn't open when it's dropped like other cases, and it has kept my palm from getting scratched. It's a great item:)

I was quite unimpressed with their shipping. The case was shipped in a bag with bubble liner inside. The shipper had bubble wrap caught up in the adhesive liner, which left the bag half open. Instead of re-packaging it, they shipped it as it was and I do not doubt that the case fell out of the bag many times over. As a result, the plastic screw on the back of the case (which holds it on to the belt clip) was busted off. Fortunately, I did not want this feature and it worked for me to have it gone. The case is also not as high quality as I assumed it would be for the price. It still seems to work ok for my purposes, and the palm slides in easily and stays there with no effort.
Don't make the same mistake I did!.......2006-06-05
I wanted something solid and safe to keep my brand-spanking-new Palm TX in, something I could wear on my belt and always have easy access to. This Boxwave product seemed like the perfect fit for my needs.
Now that I've owned it for about a month, and have been keeping my now-very-scratched Palm TX in it for that time, I can say without a doubt that this is a substandard product. All it takes is the slightest bump, and the whole thing will fall off your hip. Then, it doesn't take much of a bump with the ground to have the case spring open, exposing your fragile screen and bouncing it against the ground below.
Seriously, every time I get out of the car - EVERY TIME I GET OUT OF THE CAR - the slight bump of my hip against the car seat is enough to knock my case off of my hip and onto the ground.
I now own a slightly beat up Palm TX, with a big scratch down the center of the screen, all thanks to Boxwave and their laughably named "Armor Case." Don't make the same mistake I did - go buy some other case.
