Much better than iTrip.......2007-06-20
I bought an iTrip several years ago and was never happy with the way it worked (had to load the stations onto the iPod, had to have an additional power cable, won't work with a Nano, the FM reception was so-so at best, and it cost a lot more). This product works very well and is so much easier to use compared with the iTrip; I use it with my 60g Photo iPod and my 8g 2nd gen Nano. The FM transmitter works well and it charges the iPod at the same time. Just ordered one for my husband.

I'm an iPod guy now. Screw CDs. They make me feel like a cave-man. Get with the times I say. Radio? Give me a break, they never play what I'm in the mood for at the moment and talk too much. This does the job for my 80 GB iPod, so I won't have to listen on headphones when I'm in the car. Cop can pull me over for that.
If you're like me, buy this product. Simple as that.

This is not worth $5. The signal quality of this is horrid, the sound quality when heard on a clear station is still distorted. Do not buy this. You're better off just getting a direct wire installed in your car.

Bought this as a birthday gift for my boyfriend. This transmitter does exactly what it's supposed to: It charges the iPod (a nano in this case) and has a good, strong transmitter that broadcasts on a wide variety of frequencies. The frequency range is really the selling point as many comparable products at this price point only broadcast on a handful of stations at the low end of the dial plus the transmitting power is REALLY quite strong. A+.

I believe that with FM transmitters, you really get what you pay for. If you are willing to pay extra, you get a better machine.
This transmitter worked really good! When my MP3 player's batteries started dying down, it had lots of static, just like my other FM transmitters used to do.

I returned this item, all I got was static. I thought with the "Monster" name it would be a good product, this is not the case. Amazon does a great job with returns though, credit card was refunded promptly with no questions asked.

I purchased the Monster RadioPlay Wireless FM Transmitter for my wife for her birthday, and she absolutely loves it. She uses it almost all the time when she is in the car. The reception is excellent and the sound/clarity is as good as the quality of the mp3 (since mp3's can be recorded at different settings).
Overall I am very pleased and would have no problem purchasing another Monster produce.

I was not completely impressed with the Monster MP3 adapter. It works OK, but not as well as I'd like. The sound level is fairly low but tolerable. My vehicle has the antenna in the rear window, which doesn't help matters. Over all I'd say it's not bad, but I wouldn't buy one again...

I have all 4 of the channels this device is suppose to work with. It only worked on one channel 107.9, it was very faint with static. My car stereo volume was turned completely up, and my MP3 players volume turned completely up. Not sure what the problem, but I suppose you get the value of the price you pay.

I've had my iPod for 3 weeks before I tried using this in my car on a road trip... I could smell it frying my iPod withing 15 minutes... My iPod hasn't worked since!!!! Luckily it was still on warranty... DO NOT USE THIS!!!

I purchased this item based on the lengthy description of what it has to offer. It turned out to be a terrible choice. I can't even use it because it doesn't work on any channel that it says it does. It causes static and the sound is low. I would not recommend this item to anyone.

Only problem I'd say I've had with it is that it slips out of the cigarette lighter and turns off and sometimes gets a lot of interfierence but overall its pretty good.

The radio signal is not very strong. So if there is bad weather or such you get a very broken signal. Also, you have to turn your radio up really loud to hear it. It's just not the best working product.

this fm transmitter is halfway decent. there is alot of static and interference if someone driving by has their ipod on. i used it with my Griffin iTrip, which worked well. then when my iTrip broke and used this one alone, it was terrible. but it does charge. so basically, this thing is only good when used with another fm transmitter on top of your ipod mini.
