Excellent case!!.......2007-06-04

I really like this case. All the openings are cut perfectly, precisely outlining the screen, wheel, and connectors. It perfectly fits my ipod video. It's soft and comfortable to hold. I am happy with it.

3.5 stars...well, what do you expect for 6 bucks?.......2006-07-27

There's not a snowballs chance in hell that I would spend $100 extra on some fancy case for my ipod, so I just bought the cheapest one I could find. My compliments and complaints are basically the same as the reviewers below me...the good things are that the screen and click wheel are well protected, and the holes for them are exactly the right size. The flap snaps shut magnetically, so it's nice and secure. The case is well-built, and designed to last for a very long time. However, the case is a little roomy, which causes the ipod to slide up and down a little...not a big deal. The hole on top for the hold button doesn't really give you much access to the hold button. It's a lot easier just to open the flap. Once again, not a big deal. Unfortunatly, the belt clip design is horrible. There's a little screw that sticks out in the back that the clip attaches to. It's anoying, but at least you can unscrew it and take it off. What got me really mad was that the belt clip spins around in circles, which unscrewed the screw, which caused my ipod to fall off. My ipod is ok, but I was pissed nontheless. My advice: if you want something to protect your ipod while jogging or something, DON'T BUY THIS. You should instead get the case with the armband so your $300+ ipod won't be in danger of falling off and breaking. However, if you're like me and you're not that active, and you're cheap, go ahead and get this.

Cheap but good.......2006-07-27

There are flaws with every case, and the belt clip is not this case's best feature. So if you're a guy and want to clip your ipod to your belt or hang it around your neck (* Alarm Alarm Nerd Alert! Nerd Alert*!) go elsewhere. But if you're a woman and toss your ipod in your purse or pocket, or you're a guy over the age of 30 and carry it in your brief case or man-bag or pocket this case is EXCELLENT. I was purposefully looking for a case that would meet this need and this one succeeds brilliantly.
Also, it's so cheap you can get it in multiple colors--I got the orange.
The construction is very fine, the case is lined with a soft leather (or faux leather). The stiching and cutouts for the ports, the wheel and the screen are precise and perfect.
The case is 'loose-ish' but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I've had previous ipod cases that damged the ipod finish when I removed it, this one lets me take it out without trouble.
Although the cover protects the ipod, I'd recommend putting a clear screen cover on just for extra protection.

That's what you get for going the cheap route...........2006-07-17

Ok, so this is probably not the best protection for your iPod, but what do you want for 6 bucks? I'm cheap. If you're not, buy something more expensive perhaps...

Pros:
- It does protect the screen and click wheel nicely.
- The flip-up top magnetically shuts and holds securely, which I guess helps if you happen to drop it.

Cons:
- The belt clip is ridiculous. It's not a stationary clip. Instead it spins around, which makes the likelihood of it falling off your hip greater. This product is not for the joggers.
- The leather strap that comes with it is too short, which makes it difficult to operate the iPod when it's around your neck.
- It seems that the magnets leave marks on the areas not mentioned under Pros above. But, as long as you never take your iPod out of the case, no worries.
- This is made for the 30 GB iPod Video, but it's actually a little big for it. It leaves room for the iPod to slide up and down in the case. It makes accessing the HOLD switch difficult sometimes when the flip-up top is down. It's easier to just open the top.

If you don't care about the cons and you are cheap like me, go ahead and buy it.

I am very pleased with the case itself. The click wheel cover is extremely well designed and the case fits snuggly around my iPod. The plastic cover which comes with the case could use some serious help. I was able to get it on with somewhat minimal bubbles, well enough to where I could see the screen anyway.

Quality Product.......2007-07-09

I enjoy this product a lot. The small leather case for the nano itself is very protective, but not too bulky. It only hinders the use of the hold button, but all cases seem to do that. The leather sleeve is only good for first generation Nanos, however. I tried to use it with my sister's green second gen. Nano, and it slipped out a lot, though I would definitely say that leather is good as a case material for any iPod! The larger "travel case" is getting less use than the small leather one. Don't expect to fit anything but the Nano and the headphones in it, and even those two things barely fit. The cleaning cloth is nice to have. The only thing about the small plastic adhesive strip for the front of the iPod is it is tough to apply without getting bubbles on it. Also, it somewhat hinders the use of the clickhweel. Overall, a great buy. Consider other products if you like the white color of your Nano, because the black leather covers all the white space.

A little too small for earphones & cord.......2007-07-06

I also have the iSnug iPod video, which I like much better. On this one, the leather case stays on so I don't have an issue with that. Both the window and the circle are a little off center though. This can be annoying when you need to read words on the right side because the leather covers the edge of the window.
Also, the other reviewers are right, the netting part in the outer case is too small. I can get my earphones and cord to fit but I really have to jam them in. Don't even think about putting the connector for Nike Plus in it. (The iSnug video doesn't have this problem). The video version has more room and it doesn't have the alignment problems this one does.

Some Good, Some Bad.......2007-05-30

I purchased this case for the $40 full price at CompUsa; that's rather pricey but better than the other choices they had.

The Good: The outer case is sturdy, and the leather sleeve for the Nano is great; it stays on quite well and doesn't interfere with any of the iPod functions.

The Bad: There really isn't room in the case for earbuds, let alone the cord to sync to iTunes. And the protective film? IMO it's junk! The one that came with my purchase wouldn't curve around the edges so it didn't make a good seal at the vertical edges and didn't make a smooth cover with no bubbles over the window. It didn't stay on, with the edges catching on everything. When I complained, they sent me another shield, but it had the same problem. I tossed both of them.

Good purchase for the price.......2007-02-19

I just needed something to protect my iPod from scratches so this definitely works. However, it's slightly off and the wheel isn't quite centered. I thought that the leather would have some give but no such luck thus far. Also, I have nails so this isn't a huge problem for me but putting the iPod on hold and taking it off can be a little challenging.

I would recommend this product if it's under $20.

Great Product but BE CAREFUL with the CLEAR FILM.......2006-12-29

I got this item for christmas. I wanted it because the Apple "Nano Tubes" are HORRIBLE. Anyway, the leather case is very attractive and the iSnug logo is barely visible on there. It fits in the travel case great. The clear overlay, though, was great but I took it off too much and had to throw it away. The 2 velcro strips that came with it, I have no idea what they are for but who cares, that is just me. This product is AWESOME overall. Bummer that I ruined the film

I really like this case. I love the color, which is just as shown. It fits the iPod very well. My only request would be to have a shorter strap that's more suited for the wrist -- I don't know why the strap included is so long. But this is certainly not a dealbreaker. I just use it without the strap, which would've simply been a bonus. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase.
