By adding traffic services and a receiver to your c530, you are notified of accidents, road construction, and weather-related traffic delays before they are encountered, and are offered an alternate route. Simply touch the screen icon to calculate a new route. (These traffic services are available only in select cities where coverage exists.)
Other optional software available on plug-in SD cards lets you instantly add new features to your c530 without connecting to your computer. These optional packages include the Garmin Travel Guide that gives you helpful and thorough reviews and recommendations for restaurants, hotels, shopping, nightlife, sporting events and tourist attractions. The optional travel Guide for Europe is also available for purchase. I was using a PDA for a GPS but could not see the screen in bright conditions or hear the speaker very well. This Garmin is great. It is fast to lock on and even picks up signals in the bottom floor of my two story house. The speakers are loud enough to hear with the radio playing and the screen is bright. It is fantastic for going thru big cities as you know well in advance what lane to be in. After a recent road trip with friends they bought one too. Highly recommend.

Wow! I cant say enough good about this little GPS powerhouse.
It is a quality unit that is packed with features and is easy to use.
The touchscreen interface is logically thought out,
not confusing to navigate the menu options. It is also easy to read.
The mapping software is full featured and seems to be accurate.
Software updates from Garmin are also a snap to install.
Lastly, the price it sells for (new) at Amazon is the lowest all around.
(please note the low price is due to the C530 model
being discontinued this year. It's successor, the c550
has a few more features like Bluetooth and mp3 player,
but at almost three times the price.)
Regarding any Garmin StreetPilot product, you cant go wrong. Buy it!

The Garmin c530 was one of the best purchases I made this year, so I felt confident buying a second one as a Christmas present for my girlfriend. I travel a lot to see clients and this GPS made its money back for me quickly in the time I save from getting lost and frustrated. It's easy to program and I really have no complaints after 4 months of using it. I haven't used any other GPS before, but I'm very happy with this one, especially after paying only $200.

I took a chance and bought this. It came quickly but only lasted 3 days and then gave out. If you want to buy a charger then go with Belkin or another reliable model. This one didn't make the grade. I guess you get what you pay for.

Don't be dissipointed at first.......2007-12-25
Received these as a Christmas gift to complement my new iTouch. I did a bit of research and decided to ask for these rather than the Sonys that my roommate rants and rants about. After my initial run I was extremely disappointed. On first listen everything was clear but if boosted the bass a little bit I felt like the earphones could have used a compressor of some sorts - I was hearing some crackling and unpleasant noises due to the increase in low frequencies. Now I agree with most of the other reviewers on this product - most people without a clue about EQing and audio quality have bass far too loud and, honestly, its not tasteful. But with the original eartips the bass response was just unacceptable. So I did some reading and saw to try out the foam eartips. I was completely blown away. They sounded like different earphones. It is so crucial to get a good seal in your ears or the bass suffers. Don't giv eup before trying the foam eartips!

This is my second pair of etymotics - I lost my first pair, but they lasted a couple of years. I LOVE these - you have to get used to having something in your ear, but to me they are more comfortable and provide better noise isolation than the bulky Bose headphones I have - and they require NO batteries. These are lifesavers considering I travel over 150K miles a year on planes...
extremely disappointed.......2007-12-22
I purchased my COWON I7 a couple of weeks ago. The stock earpieces, being rigid round plastic, are extremely uncomfortable, and I had read buying after-market earphones was the way to go to enhance sound and comfort.
I decided to try the Etymotic Research ER6i earbuds because they looked far more comfortable, and some of the reviews revealed good sound as long as they were placed correctly.
Out of the box, the Etymotic earphones were missing the replacement tool that was listed in the package documentation as included. I was able to change earpieces without it. The problem is that the moment I put these in, I was appalled. The sound was extremely tinny and thin, reminiscent of the cheap free portable radios banks or casinos give away as a promotion. I tried the different earpieces included in the kit, crammed them DEEP into my ears, and tried different settings on my Cowon equalizer. Although by doing so I got slightly better bass response, the overall sound was very thin and weak. The leads going to the earpieces also were very thin, transmitted noise, and the main lead had a very sharp kink in it (over 90 degree) from being tie-wrapped/packaged incorrectly. It was inevitable that the cord would soon break at that point.
My Cowon stock earbuds have a more substantial cord, do not transmit movement noises through the cord, and have far better sound quality. The only downfall is the discomfort, which is substantial. I have to believe I can buy a $67 pair of aftermarket earbuds that have at least the quality of the stock ones, with some added comfort. The Etymotic earphones are headed back to Amazon for a refund as I type this. I give these one star because they are slightly better than using no headphones at all.

They fit my ear really well, great on long airplane flights (block out a lot of unwanted noise, eg crying baby). Slightly concerned about pulling the wire out from the ear bud but so far that they have been great. Much more worth the money than Shures lower level earbuds, at least in my opinion. The bass isn't going to be thumping like regular headphones if thats what your looking for, but if you want more crisp treble and midrange. these are worth it

I got these specifically for flying and they work very well. I prefer the inner ear earphones over around the ear noize canceling headphones for travel. These are small and effective.

What a great game! My kids and their friends, who range from 16 to 23 love this and all the great music from the 60's through now. My lefthanded college age daughter plays just as well and just as fast as the right handed 16 year olds who are experienced guitar players. Adding this second guitar to our bundled XBOX 360 Guitar Hero game has made this a huge hit at our house. It's really fun for two people to play at the same time. The guitar itself is great looking, different from the one that comes with the set, and works wonderfully.

just thought that someone should point out that the title of this item is wrong. Thats a Guitar Hero 2 controller, with a wire. Also, the whole thing about Guitar Hero 2 for Xbox 360 never having a wireless controller is partly true. While surfing around the internet last night (trying to decide if I was to buy guitar hero for Xbox 360 or PS2[yes, I don't own it yet]) i found an product review or a wireless guitar for GH2, it was from a third party, and the catch is, you needed a regular wired Xbox 360 controller for it to work. The reviewer also stated that the makers of the wireless controller might just hold on to their product until Guitar Hero 3 comes out.
On that note, from what I've read, and what the trailer makes it sound like, Guitar Hero 3 will feature Wireless Guitars for PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, and the Wii. Whether these wireless controllers will be compatable with GH1 and GH2, I don't know, I couldn't find any information on that. You would think that the developers would have thought of that, and made the hardware such so that they would, but they might just want to suck everyones money out of their pockets, and make us buy 2 new guitars. If you get all three games, don't be surprised all the sudden you realize that your going to have 4+ guitars bouncing around you house.
Someone here had mentioned that they felt like they were to close to the TV because the cord is so short, there are extensions that you can buy. they make the cord 10ft longer I believe.
Also, someone had said that the PS2 doesn't have wireless guitars, well it does.

The only real thing i don't like about this game is the Explorer controller (like the shape but hate playing one) like A real one your strumming arm hurts if you play a lot its more of a mettle rock band guitar I wish they made the Flying V instead. Its still A fun game to play I just don't like that they choose a Explorer over the many other Gipson's

I'm a lefty and I play real guitar left-handed. Playing Hero right handed is not a problem. The game is a lot of fun, and with two guitars you can spend more time playing instead of waiting to play. No one wants to wait to play.

I bought this guitar as a second guitar so we could play multiplayer Guitar Hero. The guitar itself works great and the game is a blast. My only complaint it that I have to sit closer to the TV then I would like because of the cord length. They really need a wireless version of the Guitar. My kids are always running around the room and trip over the cable as well. That said, it's still a great guitar for the game.

The Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 processor has a 2.2 GHz processor speed, super-fast 800 MHz front-side bus (FSB), and an enormous 4 MB of Smart Cache, an L2 cache that can be shared between the cores as needed. (An L2, or secondary, cache temporarily stores data; and a larger L2 cache can help speed up your system's performance. The FSB carries data between the CPU and RAM, and a faster front-side bus will deliver better overall performance.)
The Intel Core 2 Duo's 128-bit SSE3 vector engine handles 128-bit computations in a single clock cycle, accelerating data manipulation by simultaneously applying a single instruction to multiple data. It's a great laptop with the new operating system from Apple(Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard). The dual processor from Intel is too good but 2GB instead of 1 in any version should be perfect! So... 4 stars just for this little "detail".

I've had a Mac since the Mac SE came out in the 80's. I've been through lots of Macs. LCIII, Quadra 660AV, Performa 6400, Powerbook G3, G4, G5 iMac and MacBook Pro. They are all still working! That's the great thing about Mac's , they never die. All of my old ones are in use by grandkids, nephews, and others. The Leopard system is the best one yet. I was forced to use a Windows computer at work which really sucked. But the company finally wised up and moved to Macs and phased out the IT guys, they weren't needed anymore.

I love this computer.Thus far, it has been everything it claims to be. I still have to buy and install some updates on programs that are soon to be released in native 10.5. The new OS is actually the only thing that has required some learning. Processing is quick, set up for multiple wireless accesses has been smooth. I love the camera, but cannot get my family elsewhere with the same Apple technology to sign in while I'm online, but I see this saving phone calls in the near future. I'm still looking forward to challenges with this new laptop. (I've been borrowing an older G-3 laptop for rare trips, and now need my own as i'm traveling more.)

it's fast. it's fun. it's fabulous. and it's easy to use right out of the box! i'm still discovering uses for all the amazing applications. and because it's a mac everything is intuitive... so i can take my time and figure it all out. sure my old ibook was still working but was no longer up to the demands of the internet so this is a major upgrade for me and i couldn't be happier. i'm especially pleased with having a 120 gig hard drive... because having hobbled for so long with 10 gigs i don't have to constantly throw everything out. love the built in camera. love the wireless. love the new screen. even love the new operating system... bugs and all. only thing that seemed a little odd to me was that amazon shipped it unprotected except in its own box... no bubble wrap... no nothing... and at an angle because the box was too small. still it arrived working perfectly... a testament to the ruggedness of this fine machine. if you need a new laptop. you can't go wrong with the macbook. and hey it can even run windows - but why would you want to?

Compact, Portable with limited range.......2007-12-25
In the last year, I bought several FM transmitters. iTrip is one of the most compact and portable transmitter, but with severely limited range. Since it has no power source of its own, it is small, fits nicely on ipods and easy to carry with ipod attached.
For example, I gave one as gift to my sister-in-law who is a dancer and needs to take her music for review to different places which typically don't have good reliable sound system. She carries portable speakers when she needs better quality. However frequently she uses iTrip with any available regular home radio/receiver to play short pieces for review.
If you are looking for either good sound quality or decent (read 8+ feet) range, look elsewhere. I use C Crane's FM transmitter that is bulky but has the best sound quality I have found.
Works Very Well.......2007-12-21
I first bought a Kensington Liquid FM, which retailed at $100. It sounded horrible - static at it's best, even on a fully clear frequency. If you didn't position it properly, you didn't get anything. It was supposed to scan for empty stations, but half the time it came up with frequencies with a full blown station on it. It had RDS, which barely worked at all. And finally, you can only use it in the car.
I then bought this iTrip, and what a complete difference. When I turned it on the first time, I got powerful, clear music, no matter what position it was put in. It's very small and can be used inside the house to transmit to your radio.

I am fairly impressed with the iTrip...especially since i had heard a lot of bad things about the early generation. But a friend of mine had just purchased one and loved it so I thought i would give it a shot. I liked the idea of it being chordless. The invasion of static is rare, however when the iTrip gets cold it plays with quite a lot of static until it warms up to about room temp. It took me a while to figure that out. Not sure why that is the case but i just stick it infront of my heating vent in the car for a few seconds and it goes away. Otherwise I am very happy with it!

This is not a critique of FM transmitters but rather of this specific product. I purchased this earlier this summer when I realized that I would have to do a lot of driving and wanted to listen to my iPod. First, I found several stations with no interference on either side of the dial. Attaching the iTrip was a little bit of a hassle. It never really fit properly. The product only worked when I set it within a few inches of my car stereo and didn't move it. In my Jeep, however, there are a few bumps and every so often I would get hit with really loud static because the volume was up so high to hear the music. In order to resolve the problem, I had to remove and reinsert the iTrip and occasionally reset the FM preset or find a new one, and then gingerly place it back next to the car stereo. As well, while you're driving, it's almost impossible to make changes to the device. Obviously, if you are going on a longer drive and hit a place where the FM signal you were on gets used, you have to change to a new station and doing so while attempting to be safe is pretty futile.
Mind you, I understand (and you should too) that audio from a FM transmitter is never going to be great but I currently use the audio input from my TomTom over an FM signal and it's just fine. I certainly would have returned it but that was way too much work for the cost involved. This was an absolutely awful purchase and had I known, I would have invested in something more effective even if it were more expensive.

The camera will do what you need it to do as long as nothing goes wrong. The customer care people at fuji bounce you from one person to another and will do everything in their power not to help you. For this reason I would not recommend any fujifilm camera and I would look at the Canon, Nikon, or Olympus brands. Compared to fuji their customer service is like night and day. Hope this helps.

the camera is fun. It takes decent pictures. It has lots of features. What it will not do is allow you to zoom in while taking video. The camera works well for a camera but it's only okay as a video maker.
Don't let other venders try to convince you to purchase an extended battery. I tried to order this camera from 2 other websites that had it for a cheaper price. I got an e-mail soon after I placed my order saying to call them persoanlly. I called them because I was told that it was for my own security against fraud. I was soon told that I should buy an extended battery because "this camera came with a battery that would only last 20 minutes". When I refused the battery my order became cancelled. After argueing with these poeople for about a week (& in 1 case told my camera wouldn't arrive for a month) I ordered it from Amazon. I got the camera in about 3 days. The battery is fine. I had to charge once after about a week of normal use.
I recommend this camera. I also recommend getting it from Amazon & avoiding any hassle.

Overall a very compact and light weight camera ideal for taking photos of unimportant occasions. But for this price, one should not expect tact sharp images.
Pros: Very good macro performance. Face detection (if it can detect)provides very good exposure and focusing under ideal lighting conditions.
Cons: Very slow low light focusing, too much high iso noise (including iso 400), extensive loss of sharpness on the far right and left edges in wide angle shots and some purple artifacts on vertical lines of buildings.

this camera is small, compact, light, but sadly it doesnt take crystal clear images...
i've taken more than 100 trial shots in different modes and circumstances however this camera is far from satifying the minimum...evening shots are really bad...forget taking sharp landscape photos with it...the only good results you may get are with macro shots...
it was a wrong choice...my recommendation to those who are thinking of buying this digital cameara is to think twice...

I was so eager to love this camera. I even pre-ordered it weeks in advance. Unfortunately I had to return it the next day -- the shots taken with this camera were not good at all.
If you're into cute and don't care about image quality, than this is the camera for you (this one or possibly a Casio, which to my eyes makes the cutest cameras out there). But if you're looking for photographic quality, I'd suggest you look elsewhere, perhaps to Canon or Panasonic.
