Poor quality construction, unsuitable for intended purpose.......2007-12-08
I bought this product based on the excellent reviews it had gotten here on Amazon, but I admit that I am sorely disappointed. I bought this knowing that there was no handle as depicted on the case, so I will not count this against the product in the review.
My main complaint is with the CD sleeves. Both the cloth and the plastic parts do not meet expectations. The cloth is extremely thin and light, and feels like I could poke my finger through it if I tried. It is almost translucent when held up to a light. Secondly, the clear plastic part of the sleeves feel low quality, like they would tear or stretch after extended use.
If this is being used for its intended purpose of carrying CDs on the go, the hard shell exterior provides adequate protection. However, since the sleeves are of such low quality, my CDs fall out if the case gets shaken a bit. And, just to reiterate, there is no handle as shown in the product image.

As a college student with over 50 CDs in my collection, the Case Logic CD Wallet saves me plenty of valuable space. The cover is durable enough to protect your CDs from dirt, water and the occasional fall, yet is soft enough that it will not slip out of your grip. Not to mention that this is a great value at only $13 (at time of review). The only downside is that it does not have a carrying strap, but it still is easy to carry and like I said earlier, it won't slip out of your hand. So definitely buy this case if you need convenient storage for your CD collection.

A sturdy case. It does what it's supposed to do, which is to securely hold 72 DVD's or CD's. There appears to have been a slight design change as the handle that's shown in the picture is no longer there. None the less, I'm happy with it and have ordered another one.

I have a couple nylon softer-sided cases. Because the sides are stiffer and bubbled out a little bit on this one, I think this one will provide a little more protection when banging around behind the seat of the car. The item I received doesn't have a handle like the one in the picture; I'm fine with that, but it's worth noting.

We're using the Sony on work sites, where it competes with noise and dirt. This Boombox holds its own! Makes the day go faster, which ain't half bad!!
Good - Except for the Cord.......2007-11-27
This is almost the perfect jobsite radio. The D battery supply works well since the other jobsite radios require that you own a certain cordless tool to operate their units. I can get two days on a set of D batteries and do not need to crank up the generator unless we are cutting or grinding.
The handle feels cheap - partially because the unit is so heavy and the transformer on the cord adapter is retarded. A built in transformer would have been too easy to do, what is another 1/2 pound when the transformer on the chord is stored in the secret compartment anyway.
The sound is much better than the Bosch box even though the Bosch box looks way more cool. This unit could use a GFI and a whip antenna like the Box has.
Overall, this is the way to go. I hope Sony upgrades the chord, antenna handle and adds a GFI in the next version.

Solid Unit!.......2007-10-24
While I admit I am partial to Sony products, this item met my expectations in all facets. Solid bass, digital tuning, streamlined controls, easy synchronization to almost any MP3 or external audio device and heavy plastic construction makes this item 'every bit as advertised'. My application of this boombox was for my garage/workspace and even though I likely won't be getting it wet anytime soon, it certainly will be subject to dust and cold/warm temperatures and it appears to be tuff enough to stand up to it. Although I'm not crazy about the D.O.T. or Hunter Orange color, it is a good, quality item for the price...and, as far as my research indicated...is the ONLY item on the market built to withstand exceptional/tuff environments.

One very small complaint: The digital display won't properly show the volume level (like I really need it anyway) but works fine for all other function (weird). Otherwise I love it. I bought it for pool-side use at my condo complex and it blows everyone else's little alien-head looking radios away! I strap my MP3 player to the handle and kick it on battery power for hours. Haven't had to change them yet and I've had it for months. Well worth the price. I even left it in the rain for a short period of time with no consequences.

This fits in the small slot behind the stick shift. I had about 8 cd's there before with plastic cases that were always falling to the floor or the cases kept opeining up. This is perfect!! I love it. I slip the paper with the CD contents behind the CD. So compact and your Cd's are protected.

This is a great case. However when I ordered the black LEATHER case for my new DS lite, it arrived in the mail. The packaging says Leather case on the outside of it, however the case itself is CAMO color and NOT leather. The operation of the case is the same but someone dropped the ball somewhere along the line. Just be aware, if you want BLACK LEATHER you may want to try elsewhere.

What sux is the lack of a slot for the stylus. so i cut that in...
Anyways it becomes more trouble than its worth.
The "leather" started ripping apart after only 6 months of use.

I love this case. some friends say it might not be real leather, but I'm still very satisfied with it. It looks kind of bulky, but in reality its not much bigger than the DS itself.

Solid leather case affords a lot of protection. The enclosure is secured by magnets, so it will stick on the side of a refrigerator if you wanted to. DS is secured by stiff plastic clip and friction. Only thing I didn't like was there is no place to hold the stylus without removing the DS from the case(unless I'm missing something), some elastic straps along the inside spine would have been nice.
There is a padded nylon case which offers a pocket on the back for games,and straps for a stylus which is a tad less bulky, but I didn't want to chance receiving a pink one for my nephew.

I have one of the older road trip grills (before there were 15 different models), and it came with one teflon coated aluminum grill and one griddle, same material. Although it is easy to clean when new, even using plastic and wood tools, the teflon eventually started to come off on the food. I immediately went looking for an alternative, and this cast iron grill was the answer.
It is porcelain coated iron, so you can use metal tools (just not a hammer/chisel) to clean and to cook. While it can still be a chore to clean if you let 2 or 3 cooking sessions go by without cleaning, it always ends up with a nice shiny clean finish. And, no more teflon on my steak!

Pros:
On low speed, it is very quiet. In fact, with my computer running, I can not even hear it if I am to its side. Even on low setting, it is easily as powerful as the high setting on the cheap O2 Cool fan I had (which had an inconsistent speed when plugged into AC power, and both fell apart and died after only a week). I am pleased that when plugged into the same power supply, this fan is just fine.
On high power, this fan gets a little noisy, but moves several times as much air (they call it an "Air Circulator", not a fan). I can point it at my closet, ~10 feet away, and make my shirts swing back and forth. Also, it has a reasonably long cord and a 2-prong plug which is great for my old dorm room.
Cons:
For the price, I could have bought 2 or 3 cheaper fans.
Other:
This fan is nearly as large as a basketball (plus the clip), and the clip can open to a full 2-3 inches. The neck allows it to rotate and be pointed in nearly any direction. Right now the fan is clipped to the side of my bed and it does not slide down at all due to its own weight.

I have two other (manufacturers) clamp fans and they pale by comparison to this Vornado. This is my first Vornado fan and it lives up to its hype. Definitely worth the extra money and I don't easily part from my money. Pros: Throws the air an amazing distance, quiet...can barely hear it on Low speed, low vibration even on High speed, the three pivot joints allow for any angle, long power cord. Cons: Not really much in the negative department except I felt that the clamp part could have been more stout since it has to bear a heavier fan head. From experience, I can tell you that it takes little force to dislodge the fan from whatever it's clamped to. So exercise a bit of caution.
I would have given this Vornado clamp fan a 5 but had to take away a point because of the clamp. If Vornado can beef up the clamp a tad and yet maintain the same price point they'll have an unbeatable winner. And, of course, I wish it had a 3rd speed (medium) but that's asking a lot for $40. Overall I am very pleased and pleasantly surprised with the quality of this fan. My next fan will most certainly be a Vornado.

This is another example of the superior products manufactured by Vornado. The fan is a standard 2 speed vortex action which really circulates the air better than any other fan I have ever used. I have several Vornado fans for different rooms and uses. But the spring action clip is what sets this one apart. I was pleasantly surprised at the strength of the clip as well as the many different positions it can be placed in. It swivels, pivots and turns and has rubber feet so it doesn't mar any surface. It's great to clip onto a door to move air from one room to another or clip onto an outdoor chair to move the air on your deck. The high speed is a bit too fast for nighttime but the low speed is perfect!

This fan is really great! Since it's a clip on, you can fit it in spaces where you might not normally be able to fit a fan. It's relatively small for the smount of air it moves (the circulating action of the Vornado is great!), and when it's on the low setting it's barely audible. The high setting can be a little loud, but the low setting is strong enough for me. I have a window air conditioner, and since I started using this fan, the air conditioner doesn't have to work nearly as hard - the money I'm saving on that probably more than makes up for the cost of the fan! If you're looking for a fan for a fmall to medium sized room, and you don't have a lot of space to put one, I recommend this fan!

I offered to purchase this for a family member for Christmas and after researching a lot os sites found what I thought was exactly what I wanted here. The PICTURE SHOWS the stapler in a case with the two attachments that I was looking for. The attachments are also listed in the description. My brother already HAS the stapler but I bought the whole package to get the case and the attachments. ALL YOU GET is the staper. Could have bought that at HOME DEPOT FOR THE SAME PRICE. Now I have no gift and look like an idiot because I trusted AMAZON. First time buyer and VERY DISAPPOINTED. PUT THE ACTUAL PICTURE SO WE KNOW WHAT WE ARE BUYING!
It jams... alot.......2006-11-23
Ok, I've had nothing but trouble with this stapler, and it quite possibly could be a simple defect in my particular one, but I have to comment, regardless.
I put up with this staple gun for some time before moving on to another (Stanley, actually and hasn't jammed yet), because this one just kept jamming... over and over. Despite using Arrow staples, in all sizes recommended for this model, I just couldn't get more than 3-4 staples in without it jamming again.
Seems that others have had better luck, and that's good. At least my issues are rampant. Just be aware, there could be more out there with the same defect as mine.

I got this for my old(er) DeWalt cordless XR drill and it worked like it should have. I like the option of being able to replace just the internal battery rather then having to buy a whole unit. I haven't had this long enough to know how it will hold up compared to the two the drill came with but being a NiCad rather then NiMH I don't expect it to last forever in my environment. Overall it was less expensive to get here then my local dealer or hardware store. So if you need a batter for your DeWalt 14.4volt tool check the price locally fist to see exactly how much you will save buying it here.

This battery is an improvement over the originals, not doubt. However, my last replacement battery was a no-name brand that, in spite of being 8 months older, holds a charge longer than this battery. And it was cheaper. Unfortunately, I didn't keep record of it's source!
Dewalt 18 Volt Battery.......2007-12-03
What can I say. I use my Dewalt tools everyday. I am still amazed by the power of these rechargeable battery-operated tools. The batteries last effectively between 1-3 years before I wear them out. I number and date the batteries and I rotate their usage to get the most out of them. They charge (after the first time) in a half hour. They are expensive but worth it.

The packaging doesn't say the gauge size. All it says is "heavy duty speaker wire" and it is made by GE. For all I know it it could be 16 gauge.

I was a bit reluctant to give this a 5 star rating since I did not have anything to compare its performance with, but...
I believe I received the speaker wire of the proper gauge. My conclusion is based upon using a wire stripper/insulation remover for the appropriate gauge.
I do not notice any distortion from my Onkyo receiver.
I chose this wire after doing a bit of research online. Using search engines I found results of extensive testing of speaker wire. Lower priced wires were compared with well established names such as Monster Cable and had the same performance. Strong arguments were made to purchase other cheaper priced wire, possibly such as this one. A conclusion from the testing I read was that consumers notice an improvement in their sound when wires like Monster Cable are purchased because those consumers were using a higher gauge (thinner wire) than what is recommended. So be wary when guys at the brick and mortar store try to convince you to unnecessarily drain your pocket. I chose this 14-gauge wire over the recommended 16-gauge just to make sure. Wire of supposedly better brands are usually made with comparable standards as this. The only difference is the price of course. If you are not convinced do the research yourself.
I used 75 feet for my 5.1 setup and bought an extra one just in case I may need to change the positioning later on.
