Although I had a hell of a time figuring out how to strap this thing on (apparently the manufacturer attached the strap on the wrong side) so I had to improvise, took only a few seconds. Once all was well this thing held my zen stone plus from flying as I ran miles. There is no way the player can fly off your arm once this is on. It feels comfortable.

Too Hard To Remove the Device.......2007-09-07
Get this only if you want to use your stone only at the gym. Getting the stone in and out of the silicon sleeve is not simple and feels like you're about to rip the sleeve. This is a fine armband if you want to leave the stone in it all the time. Personally, when I'm done at the gym, I want to take the device out and throw it in my pocket. This can be done, but it's much more work than it should be. I wouldn't buy this again.

I've had the armband for about 15 runs. The iPod sits snugly in armband and there is no threat of it falling out. The strap has adequate number of adjustments and it is comfortable when jogging.

This item actually came early! The shipping was great, but also, it works really well too. It fits my arm perfectly but is almost a little to big. It stays in prace when I go running and keeps my ipod nano safe. I would defenitly reccomend you buying this.

Am I the only one wondering why you would even think of buying a armband for the 2g shuffle?
I meen, not only is the size of it so small you could easily fit it in any pocket, even the 2 inch ones that are some times on the outside of big pockets. but it also has a built in clip to clip it to anywere without it falling out.( if you have to, clip it onto ur headband, but ur shirt works fine)not even mentioning how much of a dork armbands make you look like i see no point unless you seriously broke the clip off which isnt that easy to do.

My initial reaction to the action jacket was disappointment, after opening the box and looking at the product my reaction changed to even greater disapointment. CHEEZY... I would have been better off duct taping the iPOD shuffle to my arm. The neoprene sleeve doesn't fit right, and it's overall feel was chintzy. The guy who took the picture for the ad is a genious, because it looked really good in the photo. Spend the extra bucks and buy the Belkin arm band
Great accessory to the Ipod Shuffle especially for runners!.......2007-08-01
I'm not sure if this is an absolute must-have accessory since the Ipod Shuffle will apparently clip-on to clothing securely, but I don't want this thing flapping around on my clothes while I'm running.
I bought this to compliment my Ipod Shuffle and it was the perfect hands-free solution. It's comfortable, not itchy and is much better than running with a 30g Ipod in-hand or at all. Unless you have the biceps of a baby or the Incredible Hulk, it should fit just fine.
As someone else pointed out, the on/off and shuffle-play switches are not accessible once you insert the Ipod into the jacket. You can't see the charge/on light either. I can only imagine the reason Apple did this. Maybe to lessen the chance of sweat seeping into the nooks and crannies of your Ipod. They could have just put a clear protective window over the switches like they did the main buttons. Who knows?
Instead of taking the Ipod in and out of the jacket everytime I turn it on/off I just cut a hole. There are pictures of the switches on the jacket, but no access holes. I used the picture as a template and carefully cut through the material with a box cutter and some scissors. You can do the same for the shuffle switch, but I prefer my songs to play straight through so I don't care about that switch. The hole is tiny, but suitable for me to access the on/off switch.
The solution works fine. No problems. No seepage.
If you run in the sun for long periods of time with the action jacket and a sleeveless shirt, the band will leave a farmers tan the same way short-sleeve shirts and watches do.
The neoprene band is machine washable, but I haven't had it long enough to say if it is durable through hundreds of washes or comes apart at the seams. I plan to handwash and air dry it.

The quality of the armband and the Action Jacket seem nice. The issue is that neither the power on/off switch nor the shuffle on/off switch on the side of the shuffle are accessible. There are labels on the side of the Action Jacket indicating where the switches are, but with the neoprene cover you really can't switch them on/off and if you do manage to you have know way of knowing their position. I assume I will be cutting a small whole so i have access to those switches. One nice thing is that you can use the arm band separate from the jacket, which is the main reason I bought this anyway (for the armband that is).

This is a great little protective case and armband. It's beauty is in its simplicity. Before this one, I purchased another Belkin armband (I don't remember the model, but it was teal and red colored with a plastic screen cover), and it was a real piece of junk. I returned it to BestBuy and decided to buy this one. This sleeve/armband is simple yet elegant, it looks great, feels comfortable, and is a great price. The only drawback is that it doesn't have a screen cover, so I recommend buying a clear plastic screen cover.

The other reviews here about the armband are spot on. It's not elastic, so it can't stretch. The armband is comprised of two pieces, although it's possible to use just one, but using just one makes it too small, and using both makes it too long. I can't believe that belkin had this type of oversight on such a basic aspect of ipod case

I've used this arm band for a few weeks now, and it definitely holds the iPod to my arm. It was a little tight at first, but has stretched a bit and is more confortable now.
I usually don't ever remove my iPod from this holder because you can still access headphone jack and cable connector.
I haven't tried any other arm band, but this product works for me and I would recommend it.

I use this armband mostly when I'm riding my horses, it's sturdy enough to protect my ipod but a little too bulky for me. I am a small woman, had to remove half of the armband strap to get it to fit but it does. It slides a little down my arm while riding but stays on. This armband does it's job but I would much rather have a lighter less bulky one.

This item is brilliant. After reading other reviews I was determined to get one and for some stupid reason I cannot buy it here in the UK- I had to get it shipped to family in Canada. It should be available everywhere!! The armband itself is great It holds firmly onto my arm and the ipod is nice and snug inside not moving about - just as it should be. I have seen others on the market and the Ipod just seems to be held in a pouch stuck onto the armband and so bounces about whilst running or whatever. But on this model the pouch the Ipod sits in is actually part of the armband itself and so is very secure - no risk of anything bouncing on your arm whilst you are at the gym. I am very happy with it. It also comes with an extra part to the armband just incase you have larger arms. I do not need this so am unable to comment on that feature.
If you are going to buy an armband for your Ipod buy this one. It really is a worthwhile purchase.

This must have had no product testing. As wide as this band is it looks like it would stay in place on your arm while working out. Nothing could be further from the truth. The band is elastic, and work just fine except that they put an outer red accent material that will not stretch. How stupid is that? The band will not stretch and thus will not stay secure on your arm when doing even the least energetic of activities.
If you buy it be prepared to modify it, or find something more intelligently built.

Unfortunately one of the only downsides to getting a Zen is that there are few if any accessories. And this armband is very poorly designed. Everything the other reviewers have mentioned are accurate reviews of this product.

This thing is way to big and bulky to be useful. Not only that, but you have no way of seeing what you are doing. Basically you can press the buttons, but you can't see what menu you are on or anything. So you would have to set up a playlist, start it, put the Zen in the armband, then put the armband on and not need to touch it until your workout is done. No thanks. It is also awkward to put on. I ened up just getting rubber skin on ebay with a smaller elastic band for like $8 and it works like a champ. Do not waste your money on this overpriced armband.

I prefer the ability to change music on the go - this made it difficult because the pouch is solid material so basically you set it and leave it alone for the duration. Also, it takes two people to get it to fit securely. Of course, that could just be my problem.

I bought this to put my Zen in. Looks good in pictures, but when you get it, you'll think differently.. It has a wide armband that velcros together. I thought maybe it would have been elastic to stay on your arm when your running. This does not. It drops down when running. I can't seem to make it fit tight enough to work.. I don't know about other folks, but I like to see the screen. This has no hole for the screen. Let me know of another MP3 player that does not have a place to see the screen.

Waste of my money.
I bought an ID holder in my deployed location that I use. Has elastic armback and a clear vinyl front with a velcro side to put your zen in.I trimmed a little hole for the earphones and.......Voila.......The perfect holder and it cost me $2.00..
Maybe Creative can take this hint and make a better armband..

Nice armband.
Very thin and sleek. Great bonus is the key pouch. If you've ever driven to a running spot you know the hassle of tucking your key in your sock, or holding it in your hand.
My only tiny gripe is that you can't wear this band upside down as the ipod will wiggle out of the slot in back and likely fall.
Nice clear plastic covering and exposing the entire face. Wheel works well through it.
I'd buy it before any other armband.
Amazon listed a pink version which I bought but it arrived in Gray. Apparently it's out of stock or no longer made.
