Great case, I believe the only one. You need a case cause the Zen gets scratched easily, recommend to buy it with the Zen; cause while I was wait for the case I got ugly scratches on the display screen of the Zen....Get this cuz you need it!

This Creative Zen case is very nice, I like the look of it. The plastic is thick which should provide plenty of protection from dirt, dust, grease, or even if you drop it, it should spare the player from getting broken. The stand is a nice touch, although I doubt I will use it much. I bought this to keep the screen scratch free and smudge free because I hated cleaning the fingerprints off of it every time I looked at it. The keyring is nice, you can attach it to you backpack or your belt. A warning, if you have enormously fat fingers it may be hard for you to press the buttons or turn the power switch on. Also, if your headphone plug is wide, the plug may not fit in the headphone socket. A couple other reviewers have noted the fact that the case presses up against the screen, causing a noticeable "rainbow" contact point. I have that spot, but it's too small to be annoying and I can only see it when the unit is off. Overall it's a good buy, I got mine for $14.29 w/o shipping.
Bitter Sweet.......2007-12-04
The idea and execution were great. It protects the device without taking away from the beauty of it by smothering it with a leather pouch.
Main issue is that the case is made of plastic. Plastic that scratches very easily. After a week of use the thing was full of scratches.
You can still see the screen well but it might just get worse and worse.
Another thing is that the plastic doesn't cushion anything. If the thing drops on the floor from 4ft. it will most probably break... so don't drop it. I used to have a Micro Zen with a leather pouch and the thing was like a tank.... But it was kinda ugly...
If all you want it for is to have it in your pocket... this works just fine, if you want to throw it in a bag with other things around. It will scratch very easily.
At least the player is not scratched. You can always buy a new clear case.

Good clear case.......2007-12-01
Nice Clear case it puts a little added width to it but considering the size of my previous Creative player it is still tiny in comparison. Wished the company could have bundled at least one screen protector to prevent scratches to the screen still it is a great product dropped it on hard surface by accidents and only got a few scratches.

Overall A Bad Case.......2007-11-25
The Good:
-Solid build and thick plastic
-a section of the back of the case (that sits flush with the case when closed) pops out on a hinge to use as a stand for the player. The viewing angle is good for tabletop viewing.
-Comes with a circular carabiner-style key ring connected to the case by a small leather strap
The Bad:
-Slight, but *very annoying* defect in the fit of the case to the player that causes a noticeable "spot" on the screen.
-The thick plastic makes the right-most buttons more difficult to push with the thumb
-The carabiner-style key ring is of very poor quality.
-The stand can be difficult to "pop out" of its closed position
-Scratches easily - more easily than the player's face.
The good points are self explanatory, but allow me to elaborate on the bad. I got this case in tandem with the player, and the first (and most unforgivable) thing I noticed was that the case itself pushes on the front of the screen so that you see what looks like a translucent oil spot on the screen, but it is actually a contact point between the case and the player. The contact spot is noticeable when the player is off, which is understandable, but you still notice it when the player is on and displaying information, and even when playing video. Also, the thick plastic of the case (which adds to the player's overall thickness by about 50%) makes the buttons on the right side of the control interface (right, menu, and play/pause) more difficult to depress with the right thumb because the edge of the case comes right up to the right side of the buttons. As for the carabiner key ring, it feels really cheap and doesn't close properly if you're not paying attention because there is so much play between the parts of the red, metal ring that you can easily see the pin connecting the two pieces of the hinge. When closing the clasp may even be so far off that it won't even catch leaving it gaping unnaturally open. With regard to the stand, the tight fit of the plastic piece in the closed position can make it difficult for someone without long fingernails to pop it open, and I imagine this becomes less of an issue with more use, but for a new case it is an obvious annoyance. To top it all off, I noticed some very small, fine scratches that seemed to appear on the case within the first couple hours of use, but these are barely noticeable when the player is on so this is perhaps the least and most forgivable of the many offenses of this case.
I expected to be able to allow the case to absorb the brunt of the wear on the player, but what I didn't expect was that a brand new case would hinder my viewing, and even interfacing experience because of several design and manufacturing flaws to begin with.

Your ZVM is safer without a Jam Jacket then with one........2007-10-04
Why are you buying a case? Protection from falls? Protections from scratches? Well I havent dropped my Zen yet, but protection from scrathes was what I was interested in. Believe me, I would have been better off with no case at all. I bought this case before any reviews were added to Amazon, but I liked the look of the case and I trusted the DLO-name. When the case arrived I put it on right away. It was easy to put on, not to tight. It seemed to fit my needs perfectly. Over the next few days I started to learn how the buttoms somtimes stick, but I could live with it --it wasnt that bad. Over a couple weeks the case seemed to become very loose, especially over the buttons, but this didn't phase me as an issue. Then one day I decided to take of the case to try slipping it into my pocket without rubber resistence. I was shocked by what I saw. The entire black color plate was covered in tiny scratches and marks I can only describe as spongy. The problem was that because the case was getting loose around the screen and touchpad, dust became trapped under the case. Then the sillicon would shift around throughout the day, dragging the dust around with it, leaving scratches and sponge-like marks. How counterpredoctive of the case. The idea was to potect my zen from scrathes, not contribute to the damage.
However, to be fair to the case, I did have a black zen, which is known for easy scrathes. This may not be an issue for other colors. Also, the Zen Vision: m is not well designed for cases. The only solution to my problem is a tighter case, which would cause the buttons to stick more (as the other 1-star ratings complained about).
But Beware. You should not buy this case. I would sujest a leater case or hard case. Silicon cases are not right for ZVM. Additionally, there are a couple reviews that would give this case 5-stars. I doubt these people have taken there case off there Zen, as I had no problem with this case until I did so.

Not at all what I wanted. It is a plastic slip on that pushes the buttons when you don't want them pushed. Ordered 2 and plan to return them. I usually don't even bother to write a bad review; I just don't write one, but in this case I'll make an exception. Yuk! Actually, I rate it at a "0" but there was no "0" selection.

Terrific Little Speaker with Clear, Strong Sound.......2007-09-07
After reading several dozen consumer reviews describing laptop speakers I puchased this one. You simply plug it into your laptop, or USB hub, swivel the gooseneck to position the speaker where you want, and you've got an excellent speaker that fits in a small laptop utility bag.
The only complaint I have is that there is no quick volume control; once you've plugged it into your USB port, it overrides the laptop's volume control "knob". You have to open the volume icon in your Control Panel every time you want to adjust the speaker volume, which can be too slow when you're being blasted by a loud video.
This is not to say that there is anything wrong with the volume modulation in the speaker itself, just that there seems to be a wide volume range across items I view--YouTube, email messages with videos from friends, etc.
If this speaker had a volume control knob it would be perfect!
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR DELL LAPTOPS.......2007-09-02
After several weeks of light, mid-volume use, the speaker stopped working on my Dell Latitude D500 and I began receiving error messages noting a "device malfunction". After trading emails with J-Lab customer service, I was instructed to return the speaker by mail (at my expense) for a refund. The refund I received was 80% of the original purchase price because, according to J-Lab, the device was still "working" upon receipt. The representative handling the return acknowledged that there has, in fact, been a history of compatibility issues with Dell laptops-- in other words, a "working" speaker may not always operate correctly when connected to a Dell laptop. Is trying this speaker on your Dell worth the risk of paying two sets of shipping charges, losing 20% of the purchase price, and spending time emailing representatives and repacking/mailing the device? If not, maybe it's worth considering alternatives.

We bought this speaker for our Gateway M505 Media Laptop on a recent trip. The M505 has reasonable speakers for a laptop, but their volume level isn't quite strong enough for us to be happy--we'd always find ourselves straining to hear dialogue from movies.
From reading the reviews I honestly thought this would solve our problem in a nifty self-contained USB-powered fashion.
For us it didn't.
We found the speakers to be nearly identical to the M505 speakers, and while the B-Flex did give us the tiniest improvement in volume, it wasn't enough to really give us adequate volume, or the "big sound" many reviewers have mentioned. Also, there is no way a speaker the size of these can give the kind of frequency response any level of audiophile would be happy with.
So, who should try out this speaker? If you have standard tinny sounding laptop speakers (the almost nonexistent kind), these will be a big improvement. Also you will like the fact that it is USB powered so no batteries, no cords are needed.
However, having said that, I really think the bottom line is, to get truly better sound, you need to use a powered speaker. I think some of the JBL's may be the way to go.
For cost of these guys, unless you catch them on sale, my advice is to keep looking. We had to return ours. (Thanks to Amazon a really fair & generous return policy).
Definite improvement over stock, and extremely portable.......2007-07-08
My boyfriend bought me this speaker. It is plug-and-play. On my computer, often movies are not loud enough for some reason and with this speaker it's as loud as we could possibly want. Also I can blast my music throughout the house from my laptop - before I could not because it sounded horrible at high volumes.
I'm not much of a sound expert, but I think it sounds pretty good.

Unless your laptop's soundcard is not working, or your speakers are barely hearable I wouldn't recommend this. Odds are your laptop does as much as these speakers.
It is well built, looks resistant and it does a decent job. Do not expect very good quality.

I like the sound of mine so much I bought one fo my friend for his birthday. It's not super loud but you can listen to music from your mac, with good quality. Just plug it into your USB port. My friend loves his too. He uses his all the time. Great for travel.

I really thought the reviews for this item were probably a little over-blown, but the speakers have proven me wrong. As someone who primarily uses their laptop on the go, I have been looking for a set of small, easily transportable, decent sounding speakers. These fit into all three categories. I am pleasantly surprised by the fullness of the sound that they put out. If you're strictly an audiophile, you'd be better off investing in a good set of Bose headphones, but if you need something to quickly and efficeintly plug and play so other people can hear what is on your laptop, then you won't find a better buy for your money.

I like my Zen except for the lack of a clip. This skin is the only option you have to add a clip and I don't like it because it is very hard to operate the clip without pressing the skip button on the Zen. At first you try to be carefull but then it just becomes a pain....
My Creative Zen Stone Skin (Black).......2007-07-09
From a protection standpoint, the skin works great! It protects my Zen Stone from bumps, scratches, etc. The clip works well, too....but if you're not careful, it can slide out of the skin. Mine worked halfway out once before I discovered it. On the whole, though, the skin does a fine job of protecting the player without adding too much weight or bulk. All the controls are accessible - even the lanyard hole - which I use because of the Zen's miniscule weight!

My first impression was that the clip was weak. I've used it daily for two weeks though and now I think it's perfect. The most important thing is that it is not a belt clip. It is a shirt clip. It would almost surely break on your belt. The product box really should state that. The only real negative is the cost. It should be 6 or 7 dollars, or better yet, 3 for $15.
Poor Quality Clip.......2007-06-27
The design of the case itself is excellent. It is sleek and fits perfectly. The clip itself is removable from the actual silicone case.
Unfortunately, there is one major flaw: the clip is built from very poor quality fragile plastic. After using the clip for a couple of weeks, the hinge of the clip snaps, splitting the clip into two pieces. I have removed the broken clip from the case, just using it as a skin now. The clip itself should have been made with metal instead of plastic.
The clip was great while it lasted; unfortunately, it didn't last very long. Because the clip slides into a slot built into the back of the case, it may be possible to improvise a substitute replacement clip,
Nice addition.......2007-06-02
I just got three Zen Stones for gifts. I only purchased one skin since I wasn't sure how they would be. I'm regretting not getting two more because they fit nice and have a clip on the back. The Zen Stone is so small and smooth it will almost get lost in your pocket. I think the clip will come in handy. I've attached some photos so you can see how it fits. All of the ports you need to get to are accessible. The LED is easy to see through the skin too so it's not an issue. I have the black skin but it's really a transparent grayish colour. I would have given it 5 stars but I think the price is on the high side.

Good fit, doesn't slip off. I don't use the belt clip but some people may find it useful. Kind of expensive but keeps the mp3 player protected, so worth it.
Nice fit, but clunky belt clip........2006-01-03
I ordered the pink one for my daughter's Zen sleek. It fits like a glove and looks great. However, there are two issues with it:
1. It has a large metal button on the back for an included large black belt clip. There is also a lanyard, but it attaches to the belt clip. The FlexiSkin is great, but the beltclip is clunky and ugly. Better not to use the belt clip (but, of course, you'll make up your own mind).
2. Zen Sleek will not fit into the docking station with the FlexiSkin in place. It is necessary to pull up the bottom of the FlexiSkin to use the docking station. Since the Zen Sleek fits so snugly into the dock, there is no cover out there that will overcome this problem. Not a huge deal as long as constantly stretching the FlexiSkin off and on won't stretch out its shape. If you use the interface cord array included with the Zen Sleek and don't use the optional docking station, this fit won't be a problem.

One of few cases for Zen Micro Photo.......2007-12-24
The DLO Jam Jackets are among the best reviewed cases for mp3 players. I bought this for the discontinued 8gb Zen Micro Photo that I found for a great deal. I shopped around a lot and decided to get the clear DLO Jam Jacket for it. My only complaint is that the hole for the screen is a little low on my model and blocks the first row of text on the screen. Also, dust and pet hair tends to stick to the case. The case has a knob on the back that the clip attaches to. It would be nice if the case was flat by itself. It fits well and looks nice, though.
