excellent sound, easy to use. treble and bass are hard to adjust because you can only adjust using the remote. there is no guage. works just as well with 110 or battery.
Faulty Door Latch.......2007-12-08
Although I love the look and the sound blew me away, I am very disappointed the sturdyness of the iM7. After a few months the latch stopped working. They discontinued making them so I have to chose between them replacing with an iM9, which I hear doesn't have the same sound quality or an M602, which isn't portable like this one. I wish I read these reviews before making my selection. If anyone knows how I can fix the latch myself..I'd be grateful.
WARNING: Adapter DOES NOT WORK on 2nd gen nanos!!!!.......2007-12-04
I just set up my IM7 and when I tried to actually put my 2nd gen nano in the dock with the adapter I found that it DOES NOT FIT!
Apparently this is a known problem, as they will send you a proper adapter that actually works, if you complain and pay $3 for shipping, or so I read on an online review of the IM7.
A small amount, but it's their screw-up, I shouldn't have to pay anything. You would think out of courtesy they would send it to you for free, esp. since this is a known problem they just haven't bothered to fix because they apparently don't care about their customers enough to fix it, they're happy to keep charging $3 extra and making people wait before they can actually use their machine they paid for.
ARG!!!
So I'm going to have to wait for a functioning adapter to arrive in the mail, however long that takes.

Surprisingly good sound from a compact unit. Works very well with the iPod Mini.
One thing to note: The maximum volume with a direct dock connection is significantly louder than using a patch cord into the line-in input. Just something to consider.
Does anyone know if the iPod dock connector on the iPod Mini is the same as the new iPod Touch???? I'd like to dock my iPod Touch in this, but don't want to plug it in unless I know it's compatible.

It doesn't get loud. It won't fill a big room with blasting sound. If that's what you want, get a boombox.
It's small and flat, easy to carry.
The sound quality is excellent, good definition, crisp high-end, flat sound curve. It's unbelievable that there is bass coming out from speakers of this size.
The sound volume is ideal for small rooms, intimate picnic, background muzak at a small gathering.
It has an extra input jack to plug a non-iPod source - very convenient.
For the price I payed, I cannot wish for more.

I just got this and it works great with my sandisk sansa c140 1gb mp3 player and my samsung blackjack phone. Now I can take my music whereever I go! Sells pretty cheap at the buy website especially after GCO.

I also was very skeptical when I bought this speaker, but I have been pleased with it. I wanted something small and light enough to fit in a backpack, but that would allow me to listen to music in a hotel room or a campsite. It has been perfect for this purpose, and it takes up about as much room as a paperback book. It does not provide the quality sound that speakers 4 times the price do, but it is great for the price. Since it can also act as a charger when plugged in, it saves you from buying or carrying that item as well. It also can be powered by 4 AA batteries. It lasts about 16-20 hours on my rechargable batteries.

We use this in our kitchen and to have a 'stereo' in our camper. It is just great. It is very easy to use (just plug it in and your ipod in the slot). It recharges my ipod also... so I don't have to keep hooking it up to the computer. The sound is really good for such a little set and is ideal for using in the kitchen, bedroom or bathroom -- where you may want to have some music, but don't need the full monty. It comes with the AC cord (a nice feature) and multiple plugs that 'slide' onto the adapter -- so you can take it overseas and use it on AC.. it also runs on batteries.

Great Speakers __ Great System - Great Sound - However, Infared Remote Does Not Have Full Functionality.......2007-08-09
I love this little mini-system. It keeps my IPod Nano charged at all times and the speakers sound very clean.
The one regret I have with this product is the infrared remote. The infrared remote has 16 keys ¡V 8 of the keys you cannot use with the Nano.
The buttons you can use with the Nano are any button that does not require an infrared connection with the actual IPod itself. I am not sure if these buttons work with the full size IPod. I have to assume the regular IPod does work as I pulled this info off the Apple website -³>>>>
¡§Some iPod accessories won't work with iPod nano because iPod nano does not have a remote port, it won't work with any accessory that requires it, such as Apple iPod Remote¡¨

I am pleasantly surprised with the quality of these speakers! I got them so I could use my iPod when I teach yoga classes, and it works beautifully. The sound carries clearly to the back of the room, and I love being able to control the volume with the remote from wherever I am. I have a Nano, and it fits very securely on the docking station.

I bought this iPod dock/speaker set for my husband and it works great. I was actually surprised by the quality. Although it's not perfect "Bose" home stereo quality, it sounds great for the size of the speakers. Be aware, however, that the plug is a bit large so make sure the intended outlet has enough space around it. (2"x3" vertical plug). Two Thumbs Up.

I love this little iPod system. I teach private music classes and wanted to use my iPod. This system is easy to assemble and works wondefully with the iPod. Good volume in the classroom and the remote control makes moving from one item to the next easy.
