Excellent product, clear sound, and easy setup. Easily syncs to Motorola Audex headphones. Very compact and lightweight design, only adds a little length to the ipod. Attaches very nicely to ipod, snug and secure fit with adapter. But it really kills battery life, only lasts about 1 1/2 hours on my ipod nano (1st gen) until battery gets weak and signal starts to cut out.
Great Product, one caveat.......2007-02-07
If you have an iPod Nano and want Bluetooth, this is it. It is extremely compact being the same cross sectional dimension as the Nano; it just extends the length by a half inch or so. Clever plastic 'wings' grab the sides of the iPod so the adapter doesn't totally rely on just the connector for support. This is a problem with other adapters that break or damage the connector. The one problem is that the current model was designed for the original iPod Nano and does not quite exactly dock perfectly with the new model iPod Nano. The problem is easily resolved by filing down two tiny plastic 'bumps' on the case. This takes a few seconds and I do not think it is a big deal. After this minor modification, the fit is virtually perfect. I am told that a new version of this adapter may be available soon that is specifically designed for the new model iPod Nano. The performance and sound quality is excellent! It supports all the remote functions such as volume up/down, pause/play, next/previous song,etc. I do not believe there is a better or more compact unit on the market.

Bluetooth enable your iPod.......2007-05-28
If you want to bluetooth enable your iPod, this adapter is a good way to accomplish it. It securely attaches to your iPod so you don't have to worry about it accidentally coming over. Its reliable, doesn't seem to consume too much battery power from the iPod and syncs very easily to my Motorokr S9 bluetooth headset.
Wireless bliss.......2007-01-26
Right now I am listening to my 2nd generation 8 gig ipod nano using this bluetooth adapter and a pair of motorola S805 bluetooth DJ headphones. I have a big smile on my face and no cords to weigh me down. The headphones are an excellent match and came off of my burton audex snowboarding helmet. They can be converted into regular headphones when not attached to the helmet. Now on to the review.
1. Pairing:
There was no problem pairing the two devices at all. I just plugged the adapter into my ipod, pressed down the pair button on my headset, and I was good to go.
2. Audio quality:
The sound is very clear. I am no audiophile but I know what low quality audio sounds like and it annoys me, so any regular person should be more than happy with what they hear from this adapter. There is no static or cutting out whatsoever when you're within range.
3. Range:
I tested the line of sight range in the long hallway outside of my apartment door. I could only take about 13 normal steps before the music started to cut out, which is not super, but it will serve my purposes just fine (snowboarding with my ipod in my jacket pocket, one foot away from my head). There is no static before it cuts out, just gaps.
I also tested the range in my apartment (2 bedroom, 1200 sq ft, one level). I can put my ipod in a central location like the kitchen counter and walk around anywhere in the apartment without the music cutting out (sometimes behind 2 or 3 walls). Pretty good considering the less than impressive line of sight performance.
Conclusion: I applaud anycom for engineering a solid product and would recommend it to anyone interested in the freedom of wireless headphones. The bluna is a solid performer. It's small, stylish, and very easy to use. The sound is right on, and the range, although not spectacular, should be fine for most. As an added bonus, anycom has included an AC adapter that converts the standard ipod usb cord into an AC charger. One more thing, the bluna is ever so slightly off center when attached to a 2nd generation nano. I believe it was designed for the first gens but this isn't a deal breaker at all. *Note: I wasn't able to specify that I wanted the black model bluna because amazon didn't offer me the choice but that's not any fault of the product itself and nothing a light coat of spray-on plastidip can't handle.

Terrific Little Speaker with Clear, Strong Sound.......2007-09-07
After reading several dozen consumer reviews describing laptop speakers I puchased this one. You simply plug it into your laptop, or USB hub, swivel the gooseneck to position the speaker where you want, and you've got an excellent speaker that fits in a small laptop utility bag.
The only complaint I have is that there is no quick volume control; once you've plugged it into your USB port, it overrides the laptop's volume control "knob". You have to open the volume icon in your Control Panel every time you want to adjust the speaker volume, which can be too slow when you're being blasted by a loud video.
This is not to say that there is anything wrong with the volume modulation in the speaker itself, just that there seems to be a wide volume range across items I view--YouTube, email messages with videos from friends, etc.
If this speaker had a volume control knob it would be perfect!
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR DELL LAPTOPS.......2007-09-02
After several weeks of light, mid-volume use, the speaker stopped working on my Dell Latitude D500 and I began receiving error messages noting a "device malfunction". After trading emails with J-Lab customer service, I was instructed to return the speaker by mail (at my expense) for a refund. The refund I received was 80% of the original purchase price because, according to J-Lab, the device was still "working" upon receipt. The representative handling the return acknowledged that there has, in fact, been a history of compatibility issues with Dell laptops-- in other words, a "working" speaker may not always operate correctly when connected to a Dell laptop. Is trying this speaker on your Dell worth the risk of paying two sets of shipping charges, losing 20% of the purchase price, and spending time emailing representatives and repacking/mailing the device? If not, maybe it's worth considering alternatives.
Are we listening to the same speakers?.......2007-08-08
We bought this speaker for our Gateway M505 Media Laptop on a recent trip. The M505 has reasonable speakers for a laptop, but their volume level isn't quite strong enough for us to be happy--we'd always find ourselves straining to hear dialogue from movies.
From reading the reviews I honestly thought this would solve our problem in a nifty self-contained USB-powered fashion.
For us it didn't.
We found the speakers to be nearly identical to the M505 speakers, and while the B-Flex did give us the tiniest improvement in volume, it wasn't enough to really give us adequate volume, or the "big sound" many reviewers have mentioned. Also, there is no way a speaker the size of these can give the kind of frequency response any level of audiophile would be happy with.
So, who should try out this speaker? If you have standard tinny sounding laptop speakers (the almost nonexistent kind), these will be a big improvement. Also you will like the fact that it is USB powered so no batteries, no cords are needed.
However, having said that, I really think the bottom line is, to get truly better sound, you need to use a powered speaker. I think some of the JBL's may be the way to go.
For cost of these guys, unless you catch them on sale, my advice is to keep looking. We had to return ours. (Thanks to Amazon a really fair & generous return policy).
Definite improvement over stock, and extremely portable.......2007-07-08
My boyfriend bought me this speaker. It is plug-and-play. On my computer, often movies are not loud enough for some reason and with this speaker it's as loud as we could possibly want. Also I can blast my music throughout the house from my laptop - before I could not because it sounded horrible at high volumes.
I'm not much of a sound expert, but I think it sounds pretty good.

Unless your laptop's soundcard is not working, or your speakers are barely hearable I wouldn't recommend this. Odds are your laptop does as much as these speakers.

I really thought the reviews for this item were probably a little over-blown, but the speakers have proven me wrong. As someone who primarily uses their laptop on the go, I have been looking for a set of small, easily transportable, decent sounding speakers. These fit into all three categories. I am pleasantly surprised by the fullness of the sound that they put out. If you're strictly an audiophile, you'd be better off investing in a good set of Bose headphones, but if you need something to quickly and efficeintly plug and play so other people can hear what is on your laptop, then you won't find a better buy for your money.

Once you prove that you have the old model, and send it back to Logitech, they will cross ship you a the new Free Pulse model which has a high strength carbon spring-steel headband.
You will have to pay shipping, but you are getting a great pair of headphones to replace the previous defective model.
Headband not durable.......2006-07-13
I have had the exact same problem with two pairs of these headphones, The headband cracks in the very center. Logitech is now only offering refunds.
Logitech Headphones Discontinued.......2006-06-27
These headphones have been discontinued by Logitech. I purchased a pair of the black ones in January 2006 and the headband broke within a couple of weeks. Logitech sent me a new pair and I was very careful not to strain the headband but within a month they developed a crack on the headband and broke. Logitech sent me another pair claiming that the problem with the headband had been fixed, but once again these broke within a month. This time, when I spoke to customer service they informed me that the product has been discontinued (including the ones for ipod, mp3 and PC)because of the defective headband issue and that they will not be replacing the product(check the Logitech website and you'll see they have been removed). They have offered to give me a refund of the purchase price when I mail them back to them with my original receipt. I have to wait 6 to 8 weeks but at least I will get my money back. Other than the headband issue, the sound quality was great and I loved the headphones. But unless you want to wait 6 to 8 weeks for your money back, I suggest that you buy something else. I have decided to buy the new Creative SL3100 as a replacement. Hopefully I will have better luck with these
