Great Case!.......2007-09-01
Great case, fits well, works well.
The bad: Only minor issues; poor wrist/neckstrap, the controls may be difficult for some with larger fingers.
Perfect!.......2007-08-23
Pertect that investment. This is as small as your cell phone and looks great. The convienence of the magnets to open and close it was just what I was looking for. Buy two or three and give them as gifts, your friends will love you for it.......
Nano ipod leather case.......2007-08-13
This was great value for money.
I was expecting some tacky "leatherette" case, but this was the real deal, really well made and fits my Nano perfectly.
Totally recommended.

Just what I was hoping for.......2007-08-24
I'm impressed with this little thing. The case is well-made and has a very solid feel. The Nano fits perfectly into the skin and into the MiniBlaster. I didn't have difficulties with the fit like others mentioned. Getting the Nano out takes some pushing, but that's the way it should be. You don't want it falling out on it's own and hitting the pavement. All the Nano controls are accessible. The front, circular control (volume/scroll) works fine through a silicon skin and is very protected.
The reason we buy this thing is for sound and size. Size and weight are impressively minimal. You won't beat that anywhere. As for sound, it's not a home entertainment center or a Bose IPod system - it's a tiny little device that offers maximum portability. If you can bring your Bose system along with you, then do it. If you need something small and more portable, then read on.
The sound has a distinct clarity. Mids to highs are crisp and well separated. What you loose is bass. It's attenuated, but not dull or muddy. I wasn't expecting strong bass with a frequency response of 450Hz to 20KHz. It's not built for it and shouldn't be expected.
It's made, as others have said, for you and a couple of friends in an environment without too much ambient noise. If you are looking for a system that you can play at a beech party with a big group of friends, keep looking, because this isn't it. Too many voices chatting away will drown this little thing out.
In a reasonably quiet room or out on the trail, you get enough volume to really enjoy the music. It's loud enough to hear the detail in the sound. It even gets too loud for conversations and has to be turned down. Don't get me wrong, the neighbors won't be calling or stomping on the floor. It has what it needs to fill the niche that it's designed for.
I personally like the sound with the EQ set to "Small Speakers" - seems like a good balance for Classic Rock which I tend to listen to the most.
If you want a small, light and very portable speaker system to free you from headphones and make portable music a social experience between friends again, then you are onto something.
Enjoy!
Great for use while traveling.......2007-08-11
I wanted to be able to listen to podcasts and my own music while commuting and so first purchased (for $80) an FM converter that plugged into the lighter and my iPod and then matched an unused frequency to play what was on the iPod. The sound wasn't great and it changed depending on where I was driving. I spent a lot of time trying to find the right static frequency and match it with the device. In the short time that I tried it out I had to switch frequencies twice.
So, I looked for a speaker. I decided that it wouldn't be a disaster to buy something at this price to try even if it didn't work great. It was what I was looking for! I can use it in the car and also other places where I want to play what is on my ipod so that others can hear. It is not great sound quality, but it is much better than what I was getting with the FM converter and much easier. I can either use batteries or the AC adaptor (I already have a device that converts the cigarette lighter into AC power).
It is a great solution for what I was looking for.
Good Product.......2007-07-26
I recommend this product over similar products that are outrageously expensive. Powerful sound for it's size and easy to use. Great value.
Wow, under 15 bucks including shipping!.......2007-07-04
Don't expect too much bass out of -any- tiny speakers but as a way to turn your nano into a sort of 21st century "transistor radio" equivalent with stereo audio and a better sound quality, this little thing is superb. Talk radio podcasts are delivered very clearly and music can be enjoyed to an extent especially if you choose an appropriate EQ setting on your nano. Volume capability is decent, just don't expect to entertain an audience bigger than about two or three. Battery life is good for the 4x AAA batteries.
JLab Audio.......2007-06-08
The sound is good from the Miniblaster, but getting my Ipod in and out of it is a real chore!! It is very difficult to do. It not only is very hard to place in the miniblaster, but getting it out is even worse. I like the size of it as it doesn't take up a lot of room when I place it on the counter. Just difficult to use. It is also hard to adjust the volume with the "skin" on it.

Great sound quality for such a tiny package.......2007-11-05
I bought the miniblaster portable speaker in December 2006. I was amazed at the quality of the sound for such tiny speakers. Now, almost one year later, the speakers are still going strong. If you are looking for good quality pocket size speakers, these are a good choice.
A Great iPod Speaker........2007-08-08
It is tiny, compact (no wiggley parts to break off) it runs on batteries as well as AC and I am completely delighted with it.JLab Audio MBBG1 Miniblaster Portable Speaker for iPod Nano (Gen 1) - Black
STOP THINKING AND BUY IT.......2007-07-28
Best bang for the buck...i read all the reviews. just buy it. you can't beat $15 shipped. it gets the job done.
Excellent Company.......2007-06-11
My 11 year old daughter saved her $$ and did some on line research and ended up buying these. She loved them for the size which allowed her to take them into bed, on the bus etc. The audio in my opinion was "OK", but she was very happy.
We had bought them along with their noise reducing ear buds which I use while traveling in planes. I can wear them x- country very comfortably
Unfortunately we had technical problems and contacted JBL. I happened to email them on a Sunday afternoon and in about 15 minutes a real person (Josh) responded. A real person.... on a Sunday!!
He resolved the issue- which ultimately required a warranty replacement.
I cannot say enough good things about this company and Josh. I woudl buy their products again without hesitation
What a disappointment........2007-05-26
On my first foray into looking for the perfect mini speaker for my Ipod, I bought the Aiptek Mist for Nano (not realizing it only works with Gen 2 Nano)---boy, was it a cute little thing. Disappointed they don't make that product for Gen 1 Nanos, I searched Amazon for the perfect replacement mini speaker that would work with my Nano Gen 1. The JLab Miniblaster had 4 stars. Folks, speak up, because I cannot be the only one who was shocked by the low quality of this product!!
*When I first plugged it in, you couldn't hear anything because of interference from my TV remote!
*When I finally heard sound it was fuzzy at best and never got much better
*The volume level is only a smidgen better than what I can hear through my earbuds when they are out of my ears!
I read and re-read the direction and am convinced I did everything properly. I even tried it with battery power only, in the house, out of the house. No luck. This is a lousy product and I am giving it one star. This is being shipped back today.

Nice case!.......2007-12-03
I've used this case for ten months now WITHOUT ANY scratches to my Nano. In fact, I like it so well that I bought the same (but larger) model for my new iPod Touch last month. The case is well-constructed, amply padded and does a great job of protecting the iPod without restricting one's access to the controls.
Negative stars actually. Scratches IPOD.......2006-02-13
This thing WILL scratch the surface of your IPOD. It scratched mine :( BEWARE!

Customer Reviews:
Perfect for the Non-Exec Too.......2007-11-28
I bought this after my experience with a silicon "skin". It matched the leather case I was then using on my Motorola RAZR V3xx Phone (AT&T) which really isn't a good rational reason for choosing a Nano case but worked in this instance.
It protects the Nano from further scratches and bangs and from accidentally being turned on and draining the battery but allows ease of access to the controls. I probably haven't had mine out of the case since I bought it. I don't bother with the ipod charging dock. I plug the cord directly into the iPod for charging.
The only thing that gave me some concern was the magnetic closer on the bottom of the flap which connects to a piece of metal sewn into the body of the case. I was concerned because I couldn't shake the thought that magnets and memory don't mix. However, it's been over a year and half and I have had no trouble.
I'm also laughing at the sexism of dividing the case into the Male Belt Clip and the delicate little wrist strap for Women. The wrist strap is not a good idea. Dangling an iPod around like that in public would be asking to have it snatched and a wrist strap is definitely no good when doing anything athletic.
Leather 2nd Generation iPod case.......2007-01-31
Very nice craftsmanship. The leather is durable, yet appealing to the touch and to the eye. It has a protective clear acrylic shield over the iPod's screen. The click wheel window is not covered with an acrylic shield. There is, however, additional leather protection in the flip cover which would protect the iPod from any accidental activation of the controls on the wheel. The only issue I have with the case is that you must remove the iPod to access the dock connector port.

MP3 case - good if it fits.......2007-05-08
I tried to use this case but be aware that it fits smaller players. The Toshiba Gigabeat doesn't fit as I learned very quickly.

Nice case not fully functional........2007-01-05
I purchased this case because it really looked nice and it snuggly fits the I-pod. The downsides are 1-there is no opening for the docking port. 2-The leather covers up part of the screen. 3-The earphone jack isn't centered so you have to work with it until you get your jack to go in there. Also this case has a belt loop in the back. If you are looking for a case with a belt CLIP this isn't the case for you. But I can take it out of the case to dock it.

Customer Reviews:
Great, but "some disassembly may be required?".......2007-12-19
Like the previous reviewer, I also used DLO's 2G iPod nano case, then upgraded to the 3G iPod nano and this case.
It's a fine product, fits easily on a belt, and is pretty unobtrusive. There's one problem (shared with the old 2G version) that's mildly annoying to me - the clear plastic covers both the screen *and* the wheel. It is possible to use the wheel under the plastic, but not easily or with much precision.
My simple solution was to manually cut out a hole in the plastic for the wheel, and this works well enough. Curiously, another DLO product, the 3G "armband" holder, has the "wheel hole" already uncovered.
Good Case, Tight Fit, Error on Package.......2007-12-19
I just bought the case yesterday and my nano 3g today. It seems to be as good a quality as the one I had for my nano 2g. However, the fit does seem tighter than I remember the one for the 2g.
NOTE: The packaging says "Full access to all controls, Click Wheel and dock connector." The part about the dock connector is wrong. The wording was changed for Amazon and the DLO website. There is part of the case where access to the dock connector would be.
