I got this after much research and I am extremely pleased. I have it in blue and it's a great color. It is very protective of the iPod and not hard to get in and out of the case, altho, I leave it in almost all the time. There's no need to take it out since the connections are easy to use with the case intact. Also, buying it via Amazon from Office Depot was a much better deal than purchasing it at a store.

I love this case! I've tried a handful of others, but this one seems to be the winner. I only wish I'd had this one from the beginning - probably would have spared my iPod the light scratches it acquired while using other cases.
I think the key here is that the front panel of the case is just that - one piece. There's a hard plastic screen protector built in and a thin layer of flexible plastic to cover the wheel/button (that in no way hinders use) - no moving pieces that can slide around and cause scratching like with other types of cases. And there are openings for everything you'd need to get to - the headphone jack, USB slot and the switch to lock it. You get two different back pieces - one to fit the 30GB model and one for the 60GB - to ensure proper fit.
And, important stuff aside? It just LOOKS good. It adds very little bulk (it still fits into my dock without removing the case) and gives my iPod the appearance of being a pink iPod with a black wheel/button - pretty neat looking! And with the back being clear acrylic, you can actually see the iPod's trademark mirror-like back panel and logo.
I'd definitely recommend this case. If pink's not your color, search around - there are other options (clear, black, silver, red, blue, green, possibly others?). I have no complaints with this one so far.

This is by far the best case! I saw it in the Apple store for $34.95 and was able to order it for $11.95. It covers both the screen and click wheel, fully protecting the ipod. Plus, all the ports are accessible. Definitely worth it! Highly recommended!

I've gotten lots of compliments on this case. It has a snug fit for my iPod 5G 80gb. The acrylic backing is quite thick but it still docks into the base that came with my HTiB by Panasonic. I can still use my Monster iCarPlay Wireless FM Transmitter although the plug cannot fully insert due to the thickness of the acrylic casing & snug opening. Easy to access the Hold switch & earphone jack. Love the fact that I didn't have to fuss with a squeegee screen protector or a bunch of stickers to protect the click wheel.

I had this case for my 30GB iPod. It was great. It protected the device well and left all the ports open. The screen and wheel were protected and it looked great with my black iPod. I have been looking for a similar case for my 160GB ipod. I loved this case.

How can you manufacture a product where the headphone hole on the case is only large enough for Apple's and Belkin's headphones? Customers should not have to drill the hole to make it larger. Otherwise, this case would get 5 stars. What a disappointment...

When I got this case I was disappointed. Looked good but not much protection, no belt clip or kickstand- iskin Clara much better (had to get it at the Apple Store). Pass on this one.

This case covers the Ipod completely including the screen. Wish I would have purchased this one prior to the last one I did. Dirt scratched up the back of my Ipod using the last case purchased. This one is perfect. No problem attaching my headphones or charger either. It is a hard case it can take punishment. Awesome product. I want to get the pink one now too.

After reading various reviews on Ipod cases I purchased this one. I really like it. The case fits my 5.5 30 GB Ipod perfectly. It does not make the Ipod seem too bulky either. However, I did have to remove the case to use my Ihome stereo with my ipod, but I am not expecting my Ipod to get scratched up very much when it is sitting at home. The red color really stands out and the controls are very easy to use with the case on. Overall it is a great case.

I got this case as a Christmas present last year, the red color looks GREAT on the ipod, especially since you were limited in black or white for the ipod video's, unlike the cool colors offered fo the smaller ipods. I was mainly looking for something that covered the entire ipod, including the screen so that while watching video's it would remain protected. I had one of those rubbery silicone cases on my old ipod mini (which isn't even a smooth surface) and found that dirt just got trapped inside and scratched the ipod. This case though, doesn't let anything get inside. I've had my ipod for almost a year now and it doesn't have a single scratch on it! The case does come with a little plastic screen cover though, which I recommend leaving on. The little bubbles are annoying if you're watching a video, but otherwise generally not noticeable. I say this from experience. I took the screen cover off after trying to show someone some pictures I had loaded, and after putting it back in my purse (with keys and such), it was immediately scratched and now it's worse than just dealing with the bubbles! I guess I'll ask for a new one this Christmas and this time keep the screen protector on! Other than that, the case itself has held up remarkably well to being in my purse. There are a few scratches on it, but nothing too bad. I HIGHLY recommend this case if you want to keep you ipod scratch-free!

This is a very well engineered product. All but very small portions of the iPod (near the ports) are completely covered - including the "wheel" control and the screen.

I hate to give this case a bad rating, because I was really looking forward to getting it--but it's going to be mailed back on Monday. As I have experience with portable hardware (I'm an animator) I am very discriminating about cases. While this case is very pretty and the acrylic is very strong and can take scratches, it's not a very functional case. A good case should protect your hardware when it takes a fall. While this case protects well enough against scratches (and shows them very well) it has *no* insulation for shock absorption and the front cover pops off *very* easily. This means if you drop your Ipod, it'll be toast or it could get scratched up really nicely as it pops out of the case. It's a shame, because if Belkin made the top lock securely and added a thin layers of foams inside, it'd be perfect. I have a Case Logic case like that for my PSP and it rocks. Too bad nobody makes one like it for the Ipod.

Nice Case But Be Aware of Certain Things.......2007-11-25
It doesn't look like much, but it looks great and protects my 160 GB iPod Classic perfectly. Be aware of the following:
a) Despite the product description, it cannot use an iTrip transmitter that attaches from the bottom. It just doesn't snap in all the way. You would need to also buy an iPod dock extender (SendStation makes one).
b) Headphone jack is exposed, but certain headphones plugs may not work because they cannot seat properly.
c) No clip. I had to buy a second case to use it at the gym.
d) Case backing is smooth plastic, so it will slide across your dashboard.

This protects my iPod from scratches and allows me to access everything. I certainly would not expect it to protect the iPod from damage were I to drop it, but it does what it claims to do.

This Belkin case, although good, didn't quite meet my expectations. The metal front is beautiful, and overall, the case with the iPod inside is very sturdy.
The problem that I do have with the case is that it does scratch very easily. This is expected with acrylic, but since this is a case for an iPod video, the scratches become annoying when you are watching the screen for prolonged periods of time. As well, I noticed that when I removed the iPod from the case once or twice, it didn't quite close as well as it did the first time. Simply because of this, I will probably purchase another case when more become available for the Classic. Also, the face of the case is secured with a long button located on the bottom, and it's not hard to imagine the iPod popping out of the case if it were dropped. Other than that, this is an excellent case, very well designed, very good to look at, and unique. I would buy this case again, but probably in another color, and I would absolutely recommended this to a friend knowing that despite its minor flaws, this case is far better than most.
Will not fit Ipod 160.......2007-10-16
I purchased this for my Ipod classic 160 only to find the case is too thin to allow attachment of the cover. It is a substantial case, just not big enough.

Fits the 160GB 6th Gen iPod Classic.......2007-12-12
This is just to confirm that the case fits the latest gen ipod classic 160GB perfectly. The case is of good quality, looks nice on the ipod and seems sturdy enough to provide good protection - which is what I think it should be used for. I don't plan on keeping it on my ipod full time as the plastic screen seems prone to easy scratching and will eventually degrade viewing quality. Also, the plastic cover over the click wheel makes operation a little fiddly and especially with a moist thumb. However, for taking the ipod on the go, it seems like it will do the job.

Great product - hard plastic over the iPod viewscreen, and a good solid case all around.
Like another reviewer, it took me a few moments to figure out how to take it apart to put the iPod in, but it's not that difficult. It snapped right back together, and works like a charm.
Has an opening in it for access to the iPod docking thing and to the headphone jack.
Excellent! I feel so much less anxious now that my iPod actually has some protection from my pocket and other possible scratching/denting/wrecking things.

Hi, I just bought this case from Amazon. Overall, this is a very nice looking case with a sleek aluminum front(I have the red version), and a clear acrylic backing. There are two inserts included in the package. One for the 30GB ipod, and one for the 60/80 GB ipod. I dropped my ipod onto tile floor once, and it was completely fine. So it provides relatively good protection against normal use. I can't say the same if you dropped it on concrete, but its fine if you take average care of your ipod. One downside to this case is the scratching problem. It scratches almost just as easily as the ipod itself. When you first attach it to your ipod, it looks great because of the flawless screen cover. However after about 6 months of daily use, the screen protector and clear backing becomes distributed with small scratches. You can still see the screen very well though, so there is no worry. Great case(if you take care of your ipod), and for a great price. Recommended! 4/5 Stars
Not my favorite..........2007-10-11
I purchased this product and think it is merely okay. I was disappointed that the lack of instructions in how to pull the case open. There were none... Also, my case had dust inside(which looked nasty once my iPod was inserted), and the clear screen had some sort of smudgeable gunk on it. My efforts to scrape the gunk off resulted in a scratch! Whoops! Well, the case will get scratched soon enough I fear. I found that I do not like the smooth texture. Its too slippery and will slide out of pockets too easily. Finally, I did not like the way the menu button protector works. It makes movement jerky and you have to press to get the controls to work. I did drop it on the carpet and it didn't protect my iPod that well. The two pieces popped open.
On the plus side, the screen is clear and bright and I like the way the iPod looks in this case.
Overall, though I was disappointed. When you get a new product you expect it to be clean not dusty and gunked up. I think I'll be looking for a replacement real soon.
