Rarely in life is one's expectations of a simple black telephone exceeded. Imagine my surprise when I found that this phone not only works, but you can talk and hear the other person talking! And as if that were not enough, they even announce that it is time to use it by having it ring when someone calls you. The fact that it is inexpensive, and will operate when there is a power outage, makes this almost better than having healthy children! I'm pretty satisfied, but I must now go, because I want to use that fabulous phone again!

Basic phone with minimal features. Handset is a little light and is not so easy to hang up when wall mounted. Could be a little smaller. Bought as a replacement for the basic Sony corded phone which has a better feel but is no longer available.

I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH MY PANASONIC CALLER ID PHONE. THE LAST ONE I HAD THE RECEIVER KEPT ON FALLING OFF AND THIS ONE DOESNT. I bought this as an office phone. I've got an answering machine and a cell phone, but I needed an additional phone to be by the computer in my upstairs office and I wanted a caller I.D. home phone so I could know who is on the other end because I get 10-20 calls each day plus over 100 emails. I can see who is calling without holding a receiver up to my ear.
I was convinced to buy this phone by the price and features. I like the black color because it doesn't get dirty like the white or light grey phones. You don't see it, but there is always a layer of dust on your keyboard. It transfers easily. I am so busy I don't have time to clean my office very often, and my materials are so sensitive that I do not trust an ordinary cleaning agency to come out.
I've only had this phone for a few days, but I can say that it is attractive and seems to be built well. I called my Mom and she said the sound was crystal clear. My sister said the same thing. I called my exgirlfriend too, and she liked it. I heard them just fine as the speaker is great. I could go on about this phone...it is so cool. For the same price of one meal out on the town you can get this phone.

We got one of these for our son's dorm room, and liked it so much we bough another to keep as a backup for our cordless phones in case the power goes out. Another excellent Panasonic product.

Should not be offered with headset..........2007-05-09
I was in a rush and needed a corded phone ASAP that was headset compatible. I skimmed thru the info and assumed (stupidly) that since the product was offered at a discount with the panasonic headset, that the phone was headset compatible. Well, it wasn't. Not only that, but the ringer on it is oddly annoying. If you are in need of a cheap phone, this is okay. However, you'd be better off getting something better for only a few dollars more!

Great little phone, so far. It works fine. Only problem is that the volume control distorts the signal somewhat, but for such a cheap price, I can't complain too much.
