This is my second earpiece and I can hear through this one like the phone is up to my ear. I have to turn the volume down, not because of distortion but because it can be too loud. Other people do not know I'm using it either. I think every earpiece gets some getting used to and this one is know different. Now I forget I am wearing it.

Cannot beat the boom open/close feature.........2007-12-21

I owned this for nearly a year till my toddler flushed it down the loo. Even though I loved it I decided I wanted a change and began my search for another headset. Needless to say after 3months of wire-less phone use I ended up again with the H700.

The main salient point is the open boom to answer the calls. I've never liked the press of the button. It also saves battery life as when i'm not using the phone I close the boom.
Its the only phone I found with this feature.

Great buy. I now have the blue one as I did get tired of the 'gold' color

I was looking for the good bluetooth headset - normal price and good quality. I already had the H700 Motorola and was please with its quality, but there were several issues that I don't like. First of all, it did not fit properly on my ear and the noise after several minutes of use was disturbing. So, when I decided to change the headset I did not look for Motorola H700. Fortunately, my husband gave me for a gift this one (Dolce & Gabbana H700 Bluetooth Headset). He was impressed with the reviews and decided to buy. I want to say that this is the best one that I have! I am not talking about the looking good from outside (however it can be important to someone too), this one has good time of working (I could wear it during the entire day and the battery is enough), the noise is acceptable and the last but not the least, it fits on my ear tightly. I would suggest this product. Good price for such quality.

H700 is very good product.......2007-12-27

This headset was a perfect match in color for the KRAZR in red...easy to sync up and simple 4 step instructions are included. Easy to hook on your ear - so light you don't know its there! The flip on / flip off feature is great, espec. for my mom - she likes the ease of use, no confusing buttons for on/off. You can easily adjust the volume on the unit. FYI - you need to charge the headset right out of the package, then setup and use. I got the same 700 unit in plum and it sync'd up with a LG phone just as easy! Minor comment, but I think this is typical of all headsets - sometimes people say I sound like i'm in a tin-can...or the mic is so sensitive that it picks up way too much background noise and the background noise is too much.

As Good As It Looks.......2007-10-29

I have spent hundreds of dollars on Bluetooth headsets over the past few years. It seems as though I am buying a new wireless headset for my cell phone at least once a year. Now that my wife and oldest daughter have Bluetooth enabled cell phones, I find myself buying a new headset every few months. I have tried several makes and models and I have found that I usually prefer the Motorola models the best. The H700 is no dissapointment. I bought this Fire Red model for my wife, to match her new Samsung U470 "Juke" cell phone. The color match isn't perfect (I think the Fire Red is made specifically for the Moto Krazr) but the deep, metalic red is as close as I could find in the Motorola line.

The H700 will impress most people right out of the package. The primary function button (the big button on the face of the unit) is surrounded by a LED lit ring. The cool part is this ring displays several different colors of light; each having its own meaning. When you are charging the headset the LED will be lit a steady Red, if the battery level is less than 80% charged. It will change to a steady Yellow if more than 80% charged. It will turn to a steady Green once the battery is fully charged. The light will be a steady Purple while in pairing mode and will give a slow pulsing Blue color when connected to a call. The Blue pulse is much quicker when in standby mode (not on a call).

The headset can be used on either your left or right ear and is very simple to operate. Pairing this headset with your Bluetooth device is effortless. My favorite feature of this headset is the lack of a power button. That's right, you don't have to remember to turn the headset on or off. To turn it on you simply flip open the boom mic. To shut it off you obviously flip the boom mic back to the closed position. It's that simple; no holding a tiny power button in for several seconds to turn it on and off, like most other headsets require. This unit is extremely light and comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. The soft, flexible earhook holds the headset securely to the ear, allowing the speaker to rest gently against your ear. It is so light that many people may feel as though the headset will fall off easily. Although tipping your head at an extreme angle will allow the speaker to pull away from your ear slightly, the earhook prevents it from falling off. Even when the speaker falls slightly away from your ear, you can still hear the audio quite well. The audio quality of the speaker is quite good, although lacking some depth in the frequency range. The output quality of the mic seems pretty good as well; as many of my family members and friends have reported after I called them. Background noise picked up in the boom mic is present but minimal. The H700 is rated for 6 hours of talk time and 130 hours of standby time. I talk on mine about an hour per day (Monday through Friday) and I only charge it once per week.

I have not found ANY Bluetooth device to be without flaws. The reception of this H700 is better than many but still produces static and pops when moving away from cell phone more than 8 to 10 feet. I am a bit dissapointed with Bluetooth wireless technology overall. Even the claimed range of 30 feet seems a bit low, considering most of today's cordless devices work flawlessly at much greater distances. With Bluetooth you are lucky to get 10 to 15 feet before the reception starts to break up, and between 20 and 30 feet you will usually find your signal dropping out entirely. This is why Bluetooth wireless keyboards and mice will never replace the 2.4 GHz USB technology that has been proven to work so well in the consumer computer market. The Motorola H700 headset works as well, if not better, than many other Bluetooth models on the market today. I am giving this model 4 stars (actually I consider it to be 4 and 1/2 stars) and would highly recommend it to others. My biggest complaint is the cost of this Fire Red colored model. I paid nearly $70 for this color and yet I ordered another H700 in the standard black and silver color for only $32. So the color alone demanded an extra $36! The metalic blue, plumb, and gold colored versions sell for a premium as well. I guess we just have to accept paying more for the added style that these other colors provide. =o)

This being my second Bluetooth I was very impressed with the simplicity of paring it straightforward operation. I doint like to have to remember a lot of steps to operate something so this was a no brainer.

I really like the folding mike boom; I not one of those that walks around with a permanent bluetooth headset blinking on their ear. I keep the H700 in my pocket, and when I get a call simply reach for the headset...open the boom...and answer the call. I also like the volume that you can crank this thing up to; I usually have trouble hearing with back ground noise (i.e. my truck going down the road) but have no trouble hearing the calls with the H700. I also like the burgundy color vs the standard Moto gray.

I have no complaints what-so-ever with this product. Very comfortable, I don't have to recharge too often and it's easy-on, easy-off boom is very nice. I've been told that I am clear and am easily understood, with only a bit of road noise in the background. Nice and small - too bad it doesn't come with a little case, as it tends to get lost in my purse when I'm not using it!

A case that doesn't work.......2007-03-22

I have this case, and it's the genuine Motorola article. However it is worse than useless for carrying the Pebl phone. When the phone is placed into the case and the top strap is closed, the phone's external display changes from time to "T-Mobile". I believe this is being caused by the case exerting pressure on the phone or it's buttons. It's repeatable and very annoying.

Even if the case didn't cause the problem described above, it fits too tightly and the Pebl is very difficult to remove from the case. And there's more, the case sits too far from the belt due to the poor design of the swivel.

This is junk. I wish I hadn't bought it and I'm looking for a holster that will actually work with the Pebl.

FRAUD!!! BEWARE!!!.......2007-01-05

This item, describes as Motorola Leather Case, in NOT Motorola, and NOT leather. The brand is Mybat, and the case is made out of NYLON and RUBBER, surely not what you are expecting, and believe me when I say IT'S UGLY. After several e-mail exchanges with DLN Enterprises, they have not been able to refund my money or send me the correct item. I quote them: "This listing is not for the original leather case for PEBL if that is what you are looking for." Ridiculous.

A great product: easy to setup, reliable and easy to use. I'm hard of hearing so I was worried about the volume and sound quality which is great. I highly recommend this product.

Powerful yet compact.......2007-12-30

I really love this headset. While more expensive than the HS850, this is so much smaller and more compact that it really becomes the perfect headset in many ways. It fits well (mysteriously, even better than the HS850 despite having the same design), and is light enough that you can generally forget it's on your ear. I do find with any of these on-the-ear designs that after a few hours the ear does begin to hurt, something that doesn't happen with designs like the Sony HBH-GV435. The buttons are easy to use, so you can answer calls quickly, even when wearing driving gloves. The sound quality is excellent. I really like the boom microphone design, where you just flip it open to turn it on, unlike other headsets where you have to hold down power buttons and check lights to make sure it's off. When not in use, you just close the boom mic and it fits even in the smallest pocket without worrying that something will break. Overall, my favorite headset of the seven I own, though the sound through the earpiece is not as good as noise-compensating headsets, causing it to be less than ideal in noisy room environments such as restaurants or public transit.

Arrived DOA.......2007-12-28

Maybe it is a great product but our arrived DOA.
We consulted with Motorola Tech support and they ran us through some diagnostics and confirmed it had to go back to the Amazon seller.
It is now on it return journey.
Hopefully the replacement will function.
The web blogs are indicating a 30% defect rate and the counterfeits are rampant.

Good Deal, Easy to Pair, Comfortable Fit.......2007-12-28

I've had the H700 for over a year now (got it last Christmas) and I am extremely glad I purchased it. It fits comfortably and I practically can't feel it when I'm driving. However, if you wear glasses or sunglasses, you'll have to adjust it a bit. It pairs very easily with my Motorola e815, my brother's XV6700, and also my Macbook Pro (Santa Rosa). The sound quality is very good when the phone is in your pocket or when you're in the same room. It works decently at about 15ft through the wall, but crackles a bit. The people on the other line can tell it's a bit echo-y, and have asked if I have a cold, but overall they say I am audible enough. I've tried the Jabra JX-10 and the Nokia BH-800 and the H700 is about the same as the more expensive JX-10 and much better than the BH-800.

Good but...........2007-12-23

The Bluetooth works as it should, but everybody complaints that they can hear more the noises around my car than my voice, and I speak loud... They also say that my voice is very bassy when talking through the Bluetooth.
The positives are the size, the on/off and the easy connection to the phone.
