This was a replacement for a Vtech system I had to send back because of horrible reception and I can't say enough good things about this phone.
Hand sets feel sturdy but not heavy, keypad is back lit and has many more nice user features such as speaker phone and custom rings. Reception is crystal clear with very good range.

I am very happy with this phone! People can hear me well, it has lots of good features, my favorite being the incoming call memory puts the "1" in on long distance so I can call right back. My AT&T I had to write down the number to call back. The stored phone book is also much simpler to use so I actually use it.

We bought the three handset system and the speakers started failing after about eight months and now the microphones are starting to fail.
It would have been nice if the handset buttons lit up but I'd be happy if I could buy a cordless phone that lasts more than a few days past the warrantee period.

I purchased this phone late last year and absolutely love it. I was a little wary about the sound quality after seeing few reviews. As of yet, there has been no complaints about the sound quality. In addition, transferring phone numbers to different phones are very easy. I especially love the intercom system. I can use this to page my husband when we are not in the same room, and I don't feel like walking downstairs to ask him a question.

I was very upset when I opened my order and it was the wrong phone and it didn't even work, but when I called the customer service line, my fears were put to rest. Have been using this system for several months. After set up, had problems with one of the handsets holding a charge. I contacted Panasonic via email. They immediately responded with possible solutions which worked! Love the system. Set up was easy. This is my second Panasonic system. The first had a tape system which I used for 15 years with no problems. I had two non-Panasonic sytems in between which were not reliable.

I purchased this phone 4 months ago, and haven't had any complaints or problems with it. It is excellent on range and voice clarity, loaded with features, and moderate on battery usage. The small footprint fits anywhere, and the expandable handset and charger come in handy for locations not wired with phone jacks. I think it's a deal, and lets be real; all the negative comments posted here are from incompetent users and people who demand too much out of today's electronics. You'll like this phone!

if you need to send faxes it is ok, the memory seems to get overloaded if you send more than 5-6 pages. the print quality on the recieve side i have found to be on the poor side and the auto fax answer switch mode does not work with my VOIP service. the copying is ok.
the phone is good, but, again, does not interact well with VOIP service and cannot indicate when i have voicemail waiting due to the interanl answering machine.
it comes with a rather limited print ribbon/film, so i would suggest getting an extra one if you decide on buying one of these units, and use it to recieve faxes.
just about acceptable for small home office use.

This machine is a nice size and shape. I am fairly technically apt, but I found the manual to be extremely complex. Since I am mainly using this machine to send faxes, I have not even bothered to figure out all the complex phone features yet, but have confidence that I will be able to when I need them. The thing that surprises me is the fax capacity. I thought this machine would handle at least 3-4 clean, wrinkle-free pages at a time, but it does not. I have to sit and feed the pages in one at a time or it takes 2 or 3 together or jams. I honestly thought it would do a better job. I guess it just isn't your big business fax at the office. I am satisfied, but certainly not thrilled.

This is the second Panasonic phone /fax machine I've owned. I was satified with its performance and durability. The replacement unit is smaller (that's a good thing) and it looks good too. The remote hand receiver is easy to use and the sound is clear. The instruction manual on the other hand is complex and you have to carefully read it to set up the phone. Over all I'm happy with the product.

I must be truthful. I was disappointed with this phone. It was small and the voice anouncement that I bought it for was very hard to understand. It would only anounce the name and not the number. I had an AT&T that anounced the number. I liked this feature much better. The voice was female on the panasonic and did a poor job with pronounciation. The male voice with the AT&T was much clearer and much easier to understand. I wish now I had spent my money on a new AT&T.

Before making this purchase I read many reviews for many different phones. This phone had the greatest number of reviews with only a very few dissatisfied customers (4 of 69). I carefully read the negative comments. If you understand that there is no phone that will make everyone happy, this one comes out far ahead of the game.
The best features are the talking caller ID, easy to use and understand answering system, advanced cell phone type features such as specific ringtones for different callers, clarity of sound and easy set up.
The size of the talk and off buttons was mentioned by a few reviewers. This phone is light and compact. The size of the buttons is also compact but not uncomfortably so. I use reading glasses and I have no problem either seeing or using any of the buttons without my glasses.
Most importantly, I feel the phone is a good value for the money.

My husband bought this phone for me b/c I work from home from time to time. The old phone we had was frustrating to use, and it was time for an upgrade.

This phone has some nice features - the light flashes on the phone when it rings, you can pick up messages from any phone, choose your ring, etc.. I miss the "page" feature that was on my last phone - now if it is off the cradle we have to search for the phone rather than page it. The computer tries to read the name on the incoming call, which is often hard to understand, but still a fun feature.

There are a couple of new features on this phone (since the last 2.4 ghz I had from panasonic). Love that this replaced two phones - I could take the high cost and divide it by two phone replacements! With 5.8 ghz, I no longer get disconnected with my wireless router and the features ok (though I never really have a use for the voice enhancer). I do get the occasional "huh?" from people - the volume seems a little low, which knocks it down a star, but it is still rated well - it stands up to three kids!

I bought this phone nearly two years ago and have had no problems. I don't use all the bells and whistles that are available, however, so I can't vouch for their effectiveness; but I do use the answering machine and it has worked well. The range of this phone is good too. I can take it outside and walk around and there is no loss of signal strength. I would certainly recommend this to anyone looking for a cordless phone.

I used a Uniden cordless for many years but the 2.4 ghz interferance with my in-home Linksys Wireless finally got to the point where I could no longer live with it and had to switch to a 5.8 ghz. I bought Panasonic for no other reason than I had one 20 years ago which fell off the roof of my car while driving along and, after it was taped up, continued to operate flawlessly for many years. This phone has a ton of features, most of which I'll never use, but the one I like the best is that the speakerphone is built into the handset(s) rather than the base unit and switching back and forth is totally seamless with little danger of self-disconnecting. The Answering Machine works fine but is unlike many other machines in the respect that, when you are on "call screening", you do not hear your greeting before the calling party speaks.

I bought this phone from Amazon one year ago. Great features and good range. I can walk a block away and still use it. However, everyone complains they can't hear me. There is no way to turn up the volume of the microphone. Only the received sound. Very annoying. This is the second Panasonic cordless I have owned that has had poor sound.

Disappointed.......2007-09-03
Not happy with this product at all. After six months the phones stopped working. No dial tone. Contacted Panasonic and trouble shooted the matter. Nothing works. They suggested I send it to them at my cost and they will send a reman. What does that tell you? Reman? I paid for a new phone system to work and I would expect nothing else but to receive a new one in replacement. Of course they don't make this particular model anymore.
Going back to the Uniden phones and back to phones with jacks. I thought it would be great to have a handset available in other areas of the house without installing phone jacks. Making it easy to access a phone. The problem with plug-ins is that if the main unit doesn't work, you are out of a phone no matter how many handsets you have. So here I sit with 4 handsets that don't work. Thank goodness I kept a few old phones for spares.

This phone is easy to use and has some nice features....but from day one I have been disappointed with the quality of the sound. When you speak into the phone, the sound has a funny "hollow" effect, sometimes even like you are talking into a tin can. Other than that, it has been ok. But, then again, we've only had the phone for a month. It seems to me that the further along the technology gets providing us with enhanced features, the less I've been satisfied with the quality of the actual phone call. But the last phone I owned, a Motorola, was much worse than this one right from the get go. This phone is decent overall.

I originally gave this a good review. Then a bad one. Here comes the real one. My phones didn't work properly. I could not hear the person on the other end of the line. I thought this was Panasonic's fault. It was not. The internet based phone service that I was using was at fault. I had firewall issues that would result in a one way conversation. I'm up and running now with a regular phone company and these phones are great. Great range.....sound....clarity. Everything that you could want in a phone.
My Favorite Phone.......2007-04-11
I had an older Panasonic phone with two handsets, and when I lost one of the handsets I decided to purchase a less expensive brand. I tried two different brands (AT&T and Uniden) with multiple handsets, and neither one suited me as well as the Panasonic. The phrase "you get what you pay for" applies here. Panasonic is definitely more expensive than most other phones, but the quality and features make it worth the money. One of the features I like most is when receiving a call, the caller id shows the name and number as you input it into the Phonebook and not as the phone company displays it. I've only had this item for a month, but so far, so good.

The Panasonic TG5777BP is a great value and packed with features. This phone has features normally found in expensive cell phones; color LCD display, speaker phone, custom ring-tones and wallpaper, phonebook, vocal caller ID, voice-mail notification... just to name a few. The phones are well designed and don't have that cheap look and feel that is all to common with today's electronics. This product is one of the best values I've found recently.

This phone has got amazing features at a reasonable price. I purchased it for $109 including tax. I am using this phone for more than a month. The best feature which i liked is the talking caller id. Once i get a call, it start announcing the name of the person on which the phone is registered.
This phone doesn't look very great. It's ok phone as look wise. The only problem with this phone is when i get a call even i receive the call some times it shows it as a missed call.

Great System, Not Perfect Yet.......2007-05-20
I purchased this for a client and installed it into their home. It is a nice system with a lot of neat features such as the cellular phone bluetooth connection. You can make and receive calls on the base station or with any of the accessories with keypads using your cell phone's line. You can even use the base's answering machine function to answer your cell phone calls in a certain number of rings. It has voice annunciation of your caller id calls. It comes with Windows software to upload names and numbers into the base station which you can then send to each of your accessories. This kit came with a camera phone and room monitor. The monitoring functions are numerous with motion detection and audio triggering functions to determine events such as paging a station or your computer. You can take photos, video, and video intercom with the video phone. I did find that intercom with video does have a latency in the transmission which renders it almost useless for practical purposes. I don't know of anyone who would actually use it on a daily basis. The audio clarity is great. I really like the features set which make this more than just a phone system. It had to be for the price. I give it four stars for that reason.
