This keyboard is incredible! It's Very sleek, and stylish, and my wife loves it for our new Mac Mini! Wireless and with more functions and options than even Apple's own new aluminum keyboards and Mighty Mouse, this will impress friends and family much more than what Apple offers currently. The ONLY reason I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because at the time of writing, the packaged software that allows for function customization and such gives an error message that the customization program won't work on an Intel based Mac.
Update! Downloading patch from Logitech fixes the Intel problem! Perfect Five Stars!!
Great Keyboard... for the price........2007-12-27
The keyboard is what you would expect for it's price as a duo; cheap-feeling plastic keys and too many hot-keys for applications like iPhoto, Safari, and iTunes that you probably will never use. The mouse on the other hand, feels great and is very accurate.
While the keys feel a bit light and cheap (kind of like laptop keys), the construction of the keyboard is very well done and can take a bit of pressure if you apply it.
I've had problems with the setup randomly unpairing with the USB dongle and I don't know if that's a problem or if it's due to me not having the software installed. Yes, things work fine without the Logitech software installed and I recommend not installing it because it can cause problems with Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard).
Not having the software installed renders the application buttons useless. If they mean a lot to you but don't want to deal the the buggy LCC, you can use a third-party software solution like USBOverdrive.
If you need a cheap replacement, you could save even more money by getting a standard wireless keyboard and mouse set (yeah, I know, it would have the Windows logo on it). They work well and can be as functional as this set. If you want a solid keyboard and mouse set that is just for your mac, I think Apple is, so far, the best offering even though the keyboard alone is more.

This is an excellent product. It was very easy to "install" - really nothing more complicated than inserting batteries (included) and pressing a connect button on the mouse and keyboard. They are both very comfortable and intuitive. I had been using Mac's cordless keyboard and mouse but find that these are much nicer - especially since I use a PC at work and it makes transitioning at home to my Mac feel more seemless.

The keyboard and mouse are great. It is very important to download the latest software from Logitech. That's why I can give 5 stars. With the old software you couldn't plug and unplug and have the keyboard or mouse work correctly. That all appears fixed now.
I have always loved Logitech mice so when I got my first Mac it was great to see I didn't have to get the Apple branded mouse and keyboard (one mouse button!?).
The keyboard is very flat and has a nice wrist rest while not taking up too much room like some of the newer keyboards. There are a bunch of nice programmable buttons I use occasionally.
The mouse is very nice. It's pretty comfortable and I think it would be good for many different hand sizes. The additional buttons get a lot of use.
The wireless connection works pretty well and the range is as great as I'd ever need.
Lastly, both items look pretty slick. I only wish they came in black because I have a black macbook but I've gotten used to the white and silver.

I had owned two Olympus digital cameras and both were very nice in features and picture quality, but both died prematurely due to overly complex and silly mechanical features. So I decided to never buy an Olympus again. But I gave in for a gift because of the feature set, specs, and price (and it didn't have the mechanical feature). My niece opened it and Dead on Arrival! So she hands it to me: DEAD!
The stupid written manual is w/o the basics, like identifying each button and LED. The CD disc has the same problems. So maybe a DOA instrument is a fluke, but a cheap, worthless manual is an IQ test: if you buy an Olympus device then the company is assuming that you are from the shallow end of the gene pool!
No sound!.......2007-12-28
You'll be very disappointed like me if you get your movies back from your children's music program, only to discover the camera didn't have sound. I suppose I should've noticed, but it was sold with comparable models which did record sound, and some quite well. There's a reason things are cheap.
Picture quality is OK but it really eats batteries - very obvious difference from other Olympus & Nikon cameras of similar type.

For such a small package this is a versatile, easy to use camera. The image stabilization really helps since one can easily move when snapping. The extra zoom feature enables good closeups and images are easy to transfer to the PC. Seems to use battery power economically too.

The Olympus FE-210 digital camera is an inexpensive 7.1 mega pixel camera and that is it. Though the quality of pictures is great (to be expected for a 7.1 mega pixel), there isn't much of an option for various resolution settings. For example, the lowest setting is 640 x 480 and then it jumps to 1920 x 1080 leaving out 3 other standard settings. Shutter speed and or reaction speed is slow leaving time for instability. It does have a built in stabilizer but even then, the reaction time is slow. The Olympus FE-210 takes 2 AA batteries which is a nice feature as compared to a custom battery but the camera sucks too much power so you'll need to buy quite a few if you're going to take a lot of pics for the day. The biggest gripe, no sound when recording a movie. A 7.1 mega pixel camera that doesn't record sound? Quote taken directly from their "Advanced manual": Recording movies Recording moving images. Sound is not recorded (end quote). And that does not mean that if you record non-moving images it will. Save your money until a 7.1 mega pixel camera is cheaper or just stick with a solid 5 mega pixel camera with better features.

I picked up this webcam on trial, and am planning on returning it. Setup with Mac (Leopard) was basically plug-n-play. Picture quality was my main issue. Washed out, no color depth, not clearly focussed (even with several tries, under different light conditions). Not bad for the price, but not quality of my former QuickCam Messenger.

I was disappointed with the video noise level. It is really high. In addition, the clip does not attach the camera to a notebook or a flat panel very well. I suggest investing a little bit more and buy a higher quality camera.

I purchased these jewel cases to hand out CD's at a housewarming party. They look very professional and none seemed flimsy or easily broken. I was tossing them around quite a bit before arriving to the party and all of the discs stayed in position. I made an insert that slid easily in the front under the 4 provided tabs. They require an extra "snap" to fully close. Overall, a good compact jewel case for many occasions and uses.

This is the 2nd time I've ordered this product. I received the 1st shipment with several damaged cases. This last shipment I paid more attention to the packing: the cases were put in the bottom of a big carton & lots of 'packing paper' was put on top & on the sides! FLASH guys: bottom of the carton - where the cases were unprotected - is what gets banged around & where damage occurs! I hate to be sarcastic but it's so obvious & elemental that this kind of 'poor' packaging shows thoughtlessness & lack of consideration! You guys need to improve your 'packaging/shipping services'! I feel embarrassed to have to say this, but, guys, get your act together. This was not the time I've had this happen!

just sharing my experience with this product. i have a shiny new laptop with the *ever-lovely* vista on it. inserted the expresscard - plugged in my new 250GB external hard drive - started clicking around but within 2 minutes got an I/O error. I unplugged everything, restarted and my hard drive now cannot be accessed. tried accessing my hard drive on different computers but to no avail.
so buyer beware - i'm not 100% positive what caused this to happen, may have been a fluke, but its not worth finding out the hard way. find another firewire expresscard port and make sure that its vista compatible. or even better, remove vista all together from your machine

i bought this expresscard thinking in audio benefits but this product only works with a rate transfer up to 200 mbps. It's a lie when it said that it's up to 400mbps because i tried with a m-audio audio card an didn't work because the rate transfer it't too too slow. Only works with a camera recorder of low quality. please if anybody want a good rate transfer, please don't buy this product

Although SIIG advertises that it works for the MBP, it did not. The light went on but it could not recognize any firewire devices. I brought it to an Apple store thinking it might be my system, but same problem. And I exchanged it for another, same problem. In addition, do not email SIIG for support. They take 2 business days to respond with one-sentence ridiculous answers. However, phone support seems to be better if you don't mind waiting on hold endlessly.

I have used the Firewire Expresscard with ease. It is easy to install (my computer recognized it immediately) and to remove. It has made my video uploads a breeze! The other nice thing was that I received it the day after I ordered it. I highly recommend this product. It is a great product at an excellent price.
Hard to find / Great price!.......2006-04-29
If you have recently purchased a notebook computer (particularly a Compaq or HP) you may find a strange looking port instead of the normal PCMCIA Cardbus slot. The new expresscard slots are not compatible with 99% of the PC cards available in the US, so I found myself ... well let's just say I was not happy that this was not properly explained to me when I purchased this notebook. I went on a mission to find a firewire port that would fit, as my main purpose for buying the notebook was to do video editing from a mini DV camcorder. Even the fine folks at HP tech support had no idea what I was talking about when I told them about the non-compatibility of their own product with what was on the market. When I asked where I could get the expresscard version of the firewire card, which I might add are found a dime a dozen in the standard cardbus version at any computer retailer, I was told by HP customer "service" that it was "easy to find," and that they don't recommend using "non HP" products. Well, that would be fine and dandy if HP made the thing, but they don't. I found expresscard.org and learned the true nature of the trend to switch to the newer format and was lucky enough to find what I needed here ... and at an amazing price I might add. I received the card in two days as ordered, clicked it into my expresscard slot and was up and running immediately as my notebook instantly recognized it. I am so happy, I found this when I did since I can't seem to find another one anywhere on the internet. Not one! If you happen to find this item or any other expresscard and you plan on upgrading your notebook in the near future you should jump on it. You can add DV camcorders, FireWire hard disks, digital cameras, scanners, CD-RW/DVD drives, video game systems, & other audio/video devices to your notebook with these cards. Eventually the cards should be easier to find but if you want the future tech for your notebook now this is a great buy.
