Great Addition.......2007-12-18
The Kingston memory upgrade was a great addition to my sluggish computer. For a value memory kit, it really improved my computer's performance.
It took about 5 minutes to open my DELL computer and perform the simple installation. Within 10 minutes my computer was back up and running great. In vista system performance rating, the memory subscore went from a 3.4 to 5.9 and the overall system rating improved to 4.9 (from 3.4).
My wife always complained how long it took to change programs and do certain task, she hasn't made a bad remark about the computer since the upgrade...except to say "What did you do?"
The only thing I would have like to see was a cheaper price tag...but I like a very good bargain. Actually, I got a good bargain with this kit--I just always want more. This was a great choice for my PC upgrade.
Kingston ValueRAM 1024 MB DDR2.......2007-12-02
I bought two sticks of Kingston KVR667D2N5/1G for my wife's computer. I believe it was around $80 for the pair. I've had no issues with either, they popped right in and worked great. From my research I've found that upgrading from 667 to 800 would have been useless. This is a great price/performance bargain for a basic desktop PC.
Works great.......2007-11-22
I bought this ram to match the ram I already have. It works just great. I know Kingston has great product quality and I wouldn't hesitate to buy more.
High quality, yet competitive price ram.......2007-11-18
This product is so good that I'm actually submitting the review. The quality is one of the best and the price is very reasonable. When I checked at Bestbuy or any other stores around me, 1GB ram costs somewhere around $100 so this product must be a buy if one needs it.
Got One ...Going Back For Another.......2007-11-16
I failed to ask for enough memory when having Dell to build my XPS-410. I ordered this 1GB DDR II ...so quick and easy to install and I noticed a big difference right away, especially when running ram hungry software such as Adobe Photoshop and other related programs at the same time. With this in mind and its very low cost, I just now ordered another to fill an empty slot :-)

It's great!.......2007-12-22
This card works like a turbo charger on my Canon digital camera. I take quite a few action shots on the water from my kayak. There is a most noticeable difference in the processing speed. Wish I had bought it sooner.
Enough memory for frequent download.......2007-12-07
512 MB is enough for one batch of hi-res images downloading from my Nikon SLR camera to computer to process, modify, resize, and etc.
Works every time.......2007-07-16
I bought this for my Nikon D-100 and D-70 cameras. It works extremely well. I've taken over 5,000 photos and I used it to transfer photos from the camera to the computer or I upload the photos I want developed and then take it to Walmart or some other digital printing shop and develop the photos. I have NEVER had a problem and have never lost a photo to this flash card. I would recommend the 1GB or higher card though - they are so cheap now.
unhappy.......2007-06-11
The disk is good, I opened it, it is not the correct disk for my camera and now I have no use for it and it is opened, but never used or put into a device because it is the wrong product. Can I return it?
enough storage for an afternoon photos.......2007-05-19
when i bought my CF card on 2004, it cost $220, now, wow! :)
this card has enough storage capacity for an afternoon walk in the park, even on a 10MP camera.
The speed is also fast enough for many Pro-sumer cameras, unless you have the high-end cameras for the PROs, there's no reason to buy the ULTRA III.
2GB are as cheap as ever, so buy the biggest storage you can afford.

Best place to buy.......2007-10-18
I replaced 533 MG cips so that one of my hi rev games would work.
Good Value for your money.......2007-09-24
I purchased this product to increase my systems Ram for VISTA, works great. I am thinking of purchasing more in the future.
For $46, can't beat it...at least today.......2007-07-08
Well, today I see they are $52, but when I bought them 3 days and $6 dollars cheaper, it was comparable to what I'd pay on eB@y when shipping was factored in. Not to mention, with the hot weather and the occasional shipping accident, I felt this was a purchase for a reputable retailer like Amazon.
After buying my father a computer, it needed a major upgrade. I bought an el cheapo computer for him and it only came with 512mb running Vista Basic (=[). At idle, the machine was running @ 70% its memory usage. When these came, I removed the single 512mb stick and replaced it with two of these. It runs like a champ now - at idle, it now runs @ about 30%. The memory was instantly recognized - no problems at all.
Good price considering the free shipping - if something goes wrong, you won't lose money.
Great!!! Can't beat the price..........2007-05-12
Great!!! Can't beat the price and it cut my boot time down by 1/3! Upgraded my Car's PC from 512MB to this 1GB and it cut my boot time from 2 minute to 1min 30 sec. And it coast less then my 512MB Chip.

Pretty Good Product.......2007-11-15
This memory upgrade is just what I needed to delay a little bit a new computer purchase. I usually run several programs at the same time, my task bar usually ends up with two levels showing applications.
Before the upgrade my Inspiron 6000 usually crashed when running Adobe Premiere and Photoshop at the same time, and it had 1GB; now it does it without a problem, and I can even play music in iTunes while doing so.
The truth is that the computer is not really that much faster, probably the Centrino 1.73 GHz CPU can't do any better. The real gain is stability, because I can run several programs at the same time without worrying about possible crashes. One thing that did improve was MP3 encoding, it took at least 30% less time to rip a few CDs from my collection, and put them in iTunes, pretty nice.
Now, running Ubuntu Linux, (I have both OSs in my laptop), the story is quite different. I really do not understand how Linux handles memory, but it does it much better than Windows. The OS fires up in seconds, and all apps pop up much faster. I when displaying icons in the accompanying Ubuntu menus, I used to have to wait a second or so to get the the icons displayed, now they pop up instantly. Apps in Linux did truly improve after the RAM upgrade. If it weren't for MS Office, by far the best office suite, I'd move to whatever may be different from Windows.
On the technical side, the memory was instantly recognized by the system's BIOS, it does not heat up any more than what the old samsung memory modules did. The BIOS does not allow to check latencies, but I guess they're just fine since the system works perfectly.
Great value and performance that meet my system's requirements. When I make the move to an Apple iMac, I guess I'll upgrade memory using Corsair, can't understand why they charge $ 850, for the 4GB when well known memory manufacturers, sell it for $ 200 or less. If anybody knows, I'd appreciate the input.
Good price, works well.......2007-07-28
I am very satisfied with this product. It shipped quickly and arrived in good condition.
I replaced the existing memory in my computer without a hitch and it has performed flawlessly ever since.
I am using it with a Dell Inspiron 6000 and all of my applications have sped up considerably, especially games like Civilization. I replaced 2 256MB chips.
Excellent product at excellent price.......2007-05-16
The product works perfectly, and the product arrived earlier than expected. I would definetely buy from these people again.
price performance is very good........2006-11-06
I bought two to upgrade my laptops memory from 512 to 2048. From now on, memory is not my bottleneck. Its performance is good, due to amount of memory of the windows xp, swap operations are minimized thus my overall system performance is effected dramatically. At least best buy for me. Good and quality assured upgrade option...

BEWARE of Kingston REBATES!.......2005-10-30
Beware of KINGSTON rebates!
Of course, I hope your experience would differ, if you were to buy Kingston product(s), but mine was terrible.
I bought a Kingston CompactFlash card that offered a $50 mail-in rebate. I promptly (as in, the day AFTER I received the item delivery) went to photocopy my rebate certificate and UPC code and sales receipt; then sent it all on its merry way. Yes, I was well within the rebate period, both for the purchase AND for the postmark date. My purchase was a valid retailer (think HUGE online e-tailer).
The rebate REQUIRED sending THE ENTIRE ORIGINAL UPC label, which was like the entire outside package for my CF card, about the size of 1 ½ business cards when flattened. No problem.
About TWO MONTHS later, I get a letter saying "your rebate request was denied because you failed to furnish the appropriate ORIGINAL UPC code as required by the rebate offer."
Well, now WHAT? I can't RE-SEND the original (it was already in their possession). I called, and they insisted on repeating what the letter said. I re-sent my PHOTOCOPIES and they said a photocopy is invalid proof of purchase.
After another 6 weeks of pursuing this, I figured this is their scam. They simply wouldn't honor the rebate. And without the ORIGINAL UPC in my possession, I couldn't really submit to their requirements.
If you're looking for a RAM upgrade, I'd suggest you look at a quality company like OCZ (the BEST!), or Patriot, Geil, or Corsair. If you're looking for a value Flash Memory Card, I might suggest SanDisk.
For one, Kingston does NOT make the best products, they are VALUE-driven products.
Two, there are competitors to Kingston with just as good or better value-to-performance ratios at the same prices.
Three, Kingston will not stand behind their customer as I have experienced.
I urge you to, please, be cautious of Kingston and their rebate scams.

Received my RAM in 3 days, excellent service. Good memory for the price. Do not notice any speed difference between high priced RAM.....
Highly recommend
They Work. Enough Said!.......2007-10-17
Ok, here is all you need to know. I plugged these in to my work machine which had 1 gig pre-install, and then it had 2 gigs after install. They are stable and quick (limited by original DIMM at lower speed). Can't beat the price!
