Happy Customer.......2007-11-21
This unit is extremely compact, yet gives good sound and volume. Good battery life. Charges ipod when used with A/C adapter. Nicely designed. Altec Lansing has corrected the complaints I had with an earlier model.
Not happy...it was a gift and receipent is very disappointed.......2007-11-12
this was a gift for my daughter and she was very please to receive it. had some alligment problems when attempting to use adaptor for here Nano. very dispointed. currently its useable and making attempts to get some correction to the problem.
Altec Lansing inMotion IM3c.......2007-10-25
Great product, excellent sound quality, small profile and easy to use. I bought one for myself and then later for my father, he is happy with his as well.
Travel speakers.......2007-10-22
A good item to have for traveling. It is small when open and folds up for easy transportion. Keep in mind, it is not a whole house stereo. Just a way to listen to music in a smaller setting. And it works well for this. Follow the instructions for actually turning the unit on and it makes a good player for a hotel room. The music is clear and it beats the standard clock radio usually found in a hotel room. Just don't expect this item to do what it isn't designed to do.
Great portable speaker.......2007-09-10
The sound quality of the IM3c is very good at the mid to low level. This speaker system is solely used in my office, so cranking it up too loud is not an option. Its compact size makes it easy to place virtually anywhere. One feature I really like is the volume stays the same after turning the unit back on after it has been shut down, unlike the "JBL On Stage".

Customer Reviews:
Such a deal...like I never saw..........2007-12-01
What surprise when I plugged my ipod in and got such great sound. I'm very picky about sound systems (not a big Bose fan) and I really liked this one.
Anyway, for this price it's a great value. Only one thing...the remote is just a little weird. I'd put up with that considering the bass response and that this is a cool looking machine!
Enjoy.
great for small spaces.......2007-10-20
we are enjoying our Itone. the sound quality is very nice and it works well with our IPOD.
Great Value .......2007-08-23
This docking station has a little bit of everything. It not only will play an IPOD but allow the user to connect an auxiliary device like the Roku Internet radio tuner, listen to CDs, and tune-in your favorite radio station. Do not expect the sound to approach that of a $2000 hifi. The reproduction is more than adequate for a small system. I highly recommend this unit for those who desire a docking station with reasonable sound quality and good features.
Good product for the price.......2007-08-20
I was looking for a speaker system for my iPod that would also play CD's and radio (which there aren't that many available) and this is a great price for all the functions. The sound is great, not quite as good as the Bose speakers but it is also much more affordable and has more functions so I think it is well worth the money. If you just want a speaker for your iPod this may not be what you are looking for, but if you want to basically replace your stereo system with one that has iPod capability I would recommend this system. No problems or issues with it, the black model looks great and fits nicely in the entertainment center. Very user friendly. The remote option is also a nice bonus. Would recommend to others.
Excellent item for normal expectations.......2007-08-12
I have an ipod (video, 80 GB) and tons of cd's.
This home audio System is not gonna blow your living room with decibels, but for a room, or a nice evening with some folks is a great deal.
The inner subwoofer works just fine, the ipod, radio and cd devices sounds clear and nice.
Beware of the ipod 5g generation adapter. It's not included (so you better keep the original ipod box with its adaptor). Although, the 4G adapter works (not recommended in the long shot).
The only downside is that the control don't navigate the entire ipod system. Just works for play/pause and to go forward and backwards between tracks. So you have to make some cool playlists.

Customer Reviews:
Great Value for the Money !!!.......2007-12-11
If you are looking for an awesome entry level Home Theater system, look no more! After months of research and reading reviews, I decided to buy it, and got a Black Friday deal (Circuit City online) and just paid $160 + tax (free shipping). And I am so glad I did!
Pros:
It took less than 20 minutes to setup. The sound quality is just astonishing and I like the various sound options (Movies, Music, Sports, Video Game etc.). You have the option to toggle between surround sound mode and stereo audio mode. Also, you can adjust the relative volume of each speaker (including the subwoofer) to your expected performance level. Initially, the rear speakers were not as loud as I had wanted them to be, so I just used this feature to shift more volume to the rear speakers compared to the front SIDE speakers, and increased the subwoofer volume by just one point, and I was in heaven. I have been watching movies like Transformers, Live free or Die Hard and Black Hawk Down in my huge Downtown apartment living room (Victorian Style Building with high-ceiling, built in 1852) at volume level 20 (maximum is 40), and the entire apartment complex starts shaking whenever there is an action scene. The sound is clear and you can hear every drop of blood dripping in the ground or the remote sound of a chopper flying somewhere, in surround sound!!
I also play my CD's and MP3's and listen to the FM/AM radio (built-in) using this system and it delivers wonderful sound just as expected.
Potential Con's:
As far as the speaker wire goes, the wire is pretty long and it should not be too difficult to mount the rear speakers at the rear in a medium-sized room (I took them directly through under my carpet, so I did not even have to use one-quarter of the length of the wire). However, people who have really large living rooms and no carpeting might find it frustrating, especially since the wires are inserted directly into the speakers and there is no way of changing/replacing them without opening up the speakers and tearing off the original wire connection with the speakers. For the same reason, people who like to replace thin wires with their choice of thick wires will probably not be satisfied with this system.
The loading tray is very thin and appears flimsy, so just be careful when putting / taking out DVD's so that you don't break it by accident. The loading time for DVD's / CD's is a little long which can be a bit annoying at times, but then again, this is not really a technical "problem", this is just a limitation of an entry-level system, and you should not complain about it, especially at this price!
I do not have an ipod so I never had to hook up the ipod dock, and I have not used the HD upconverting feature either since I do own a HDTV yet. Also, it does not have the fancy features like Sirius Satellite Radio, Blu-ray DVD playing capability and other features that the newest models (as of now) have, but then again, you would pay 5 times as much or more to buy the latest model home theater system!!
Overall, as you have probably guessed by now, I am extremely happy with my investment and if you are looking for a great Home Theater System in a box for similar uses as mine (as outlined above), I can assert confidently that this is the system for you.
Shop Around.......2007-11-26
Check out your electronic sales circular. Prices have been varying wildly from 149 to 250. I set up my unit yesterday, was fairly easy except I connected a wrong cable and couldn't get my video to work. I called Phillips tech support and was told I had a faulty unit and I should ship it back to Philips at my expense. I finally got it to work on my own. Sound sounds great but there are no treble or bass adjustments, you have to live with the factory settings. The dvd drawer is very flimsy and cheaply made it wobbles. If I had to do it again, I buy another make like Samsung or LG which were in the same price range.
Nice System, can't beat the price.......2007-11-26
Went to Best Buy to look for home stereo system that had and IPod dock and found this with the surround sound so I picked it up to test. I had it hooked up and ready to go in under an hour and ran my Spiderman 3 DVD through it. Let me just say I'm not encountering any buyer's remorse on this one. It's my first surround sound home theater system and it works great with my HDTV.
Great Deal.......2007-11-18
This is a great little system. My living room is medium size and it kicks out some crisp surround sound. My last surround system was a mix brand of speakers and were all quite old...and I spent a ton more on them than this entire unit. I think it's well worth the money and then some. I picked it up at Sears for $179. The only down is the cheap remote.
Subwoofer Died on 2nd day.......2007-11-10
Sub-woofer died on the second day... Best Buy was zero help. 1000 watts my eye. No way can package this is such a poorly ventilated box.
Good luck getting it fixedQ

Customer Reviews:
Good sound in a small, convenient package.......2007-10-07
If you want a small system to listen to your ipod on, but like me, fell that many of the docking/speaker systems lack "punch", this is the product for you. Compact and lightweight, you can take it anywhere you can find a power outlet. The sound is very good with surprisingly good bass, the remote works well, I've never had a problem charging the ipod through the dock, unlike another reviewer, and if everything's set up properly - which is not hard to do - I fail to see how that could happen. This is an excellent product for the price.
Love It!.......2007-08-09
This system provides great clear sound, good base, clear CD playing, clear sound from ipod, and clear sound from the radio. The remote controls all of these functions but does not change the tuning on the radio. It also does not let you scroll on your ipod, you can only play, pause, stop and skip from song to song. It also charges your ipod which I thought was a great function.
MCM-108DB.......2007-07-26
The product did not charge the ipod nor did remote function keys operate ipod as specified.

Customer Reviews:
A generally good system, but service was very poor.......2007-12-04
First, let me say that this product offers exactly what I was looking for in terms of functionality. It plays CDs and my (3rd gen) iPod, has a wake-up alarm function, and has pretty good sound. It's also very attractive.
Unfortunately, when I first received the product, only half of the CD trays worked, so, I sent it in to have it worked on under warranty. After paying another $25 to ship it back to the company, I received it perhaps nearly a month later (much longer than was necessary considering that they simply shipped me a new unit). Communication with the company was unreliable and their emails were terse and ambiguous, which is something I really will not accept. So, despite being a good product (when it works), the fact that it was initially broken and the poor service will likely prevent me from buying from jWin any time soon.
Good product.......2007-10-28
Overall a good product. My wife and I needed something that was versatile for both CD's and our digital music. This machine has worked out almost perfectly. My only issue is that it needs an EQ or a sub-woofer.
good for the money.......2007-09-01
Works good with mp3s and audio
didn't test it yet with iPod(Istill haven't decided wich one to buy :)
I miss an EQ
even a preset will do
maybe on the next gadget
sound is really good At first I thought about buying a buffer but you don't really need it
The remote has a narrow angle (that's another minus )

Customer Reviews:
SOUND THROUGHOUT MY HOME.......2007-10-20
Originally I had planned on spending over $10,000+ to have music throughout my home. But with the EOS Wireless system and four speakers I can have beautiful digital music playing in all or just some of the rooms of my house. Each speaker's volume can be adjusted from completely off to as loud as you like.
The sound is superb and is great for parties or simply for my own audiophile enjoyment. I installed it myself and I am hardly a techy. My girlfriends think I am brilliant.
I recommend this to any audiophile who has an IPod (any MP3 player), or like me, has an extensive Music Library on my computer.
Excellent Service; not so great product (not the seller's fault).......2007-08-30
I oredred the EOS system because I liked the idea of being able to filter sound throughout my home wirelessly. Well, the sound quality wasn't on par in my opinion. It was very fuzzy and the speakers would get staticy on songs with low bass lines. This again was no fault of the seller's. I received excellent customer service, speedy responses and delivery. In the future, I will not purchase electronics via the Internet (based on reviews) unless I have experienced them for myself first.
Finally, a wireless system that sounds good!.......2007-07-19
I have an older house with walls that fall apart if I start putting holes through them for moving speaker wire around. I have been waiting for worthwhile wireless speakers for some time. While EOS may not be perfect, I have been impressed with the clarity, range, and ease of use.
Pro's:
- Easy to use and very intuitive. I was playing music within 3 minutes of taking it out of the box.
- The wireless speaker worked over 100 feet away on a different floor
- Recharging the iPod Nano Gen 1(which fit just fine) was a nice, convenient feature.
- remote was handy. Ability to add up to 4 speakers is a great option
- several friends have commented on how nice it looks, sounds, and how they wish they had one in their home (we've been using ours in the kitchen)
- no skipping in any of the music; the wireless did not interfere with my 2.4 Ghz phone or wireless modem signals.
Con's:
- no off switch; there are blue lights on the base unit and antenna when it is plugged in as well as the antenna on the wireless speaker when plugged in. Seems like a waste of energy.
- the wireless speaker's volume is not controllable via the remote. Only the base unit is controlled by the remote. You can adjust volume on the top of the wireless speaker
If wireless speakers is what you are after, the EOS is a good option.

Customer Reviews:
Great design, but a major flaw.......2007-12-26
I really wanted to like this product. I have been waiting a long time to buy it, and finally decided to spend the money on this system instead of an "economy" model. I have no complaints about the music sound... it lives up to the Bose name and the hype in that regard... very big sound from a very small speaker. But, one MAJOR issue is a hissing noise that the dock makes when it is off. I bought the dock for my bedroom, which is quiet, and whenever the dock is off and the ipod inside it, a very annoying high-pitch hissing sound emanates from the speaker. It almost sounds like crickets. I called Bose support, which was pretty responsive, and they did have information confirming that this noise is normal, which surprised me coming from a company that prides itself on superior sound. I thought that such aural nuisances would not be acceptable in their products. If you plan to put this system in a somewhat-loud room, it will probably work for you, but if your situation is more like mine, I don't recommend it at all.
Excellent Sound!!.......2007-12-26
This is a great stereo for your ipod. The sound is great and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. (ok its pricey but well worth it) My only complaint is I have a 2nd Generation iPod Nano (aluminum) and the nano insert does not fit. Yes, I can use the other ipod inserts, but it causes it to be flimsy in the other ipod holder-you have to be cautious. (If you were to hit the ipod by accident there is a possibility of it breaking the connector right off the sound dock) I will be calling Bose to see if they have a replacement part or if all 2nd gen nano's are like this. (Judging by some of the past reviews this has been an ongoing problem and I would hope it has been addressed) Overall great product. I gave it 4 stars cause of the hassle of having to call and request a new insert or be stuck with what I have)
Top-notch sound system for your iPod.......2007-12-17
If you're serious about your music, don't even consider any of the cheaper/inferior iPod sound docks-- Bose is the best. The power and volume of this unit is incredible for being so small. I use my SoundDock at work and I love how clear and accurate the sound is.
Outstanding!.......2007-11-26
Its simply outstanding. The sound quality is out of this world. No need to own a stereo ever again. It looks great in the lounge too. Awesome product... Highly recommended
Its Bose afyer all!!!.......2007-11-21
Sound Quality is a ten on ten.
However, there is one major drawback - the remote has very limited functions which makes u always get up and reach to the Audio system and select the song or menu on the ipod.
Otherwise, the product is great overall.
Average customer rating:
- Look elsewhere
- Decent, works with iPod Touch
- IHOME DOES NOT WOrk WITH NEWER IPODS
- Don't waste your money on this one

Amazon.com Product Description
With its built-in docking station and clean, contemporary design, the iHome iH5 clock radio is the perfect complement for your Apple iPod digital music player. Not only does the iH5 let you listen to your iPod music free from cumbersome headphones, it also lets you fall asleep or wake to music you've loaded into your iPod. You can also wake or sleep to FM/AM radio or wake to a traditional buzzer.
The compact unit measures roughly 9 x 3 x 6 inches (W x H x D) yet comes complete with stereo speakers, drift-free digital FM/AM radio tuning, a multifunction LCD with adjustable backlighting, and the ability to charge your docking iPod's battery right from its center seat. (The iH5 includes handy inserts to accommodate any type of docking iPod: gen 3, gen 4, iPod mini, or iPod photo.)
Immediately upon plugging it in and the clock will set itself, drawing on its factory-installed 100-year calendar (year/month/day, 2000 to 2099). The clock will maintain accuracy all on its own, even self-adjusting for Daylight Savings time and leap years.
Fall asleep to your favorite station or a carefully chosen iPod playlist using the unit's programmable sleep timer (15 to 120 minutes in 15-minute increments). Gradual Wake and Gradual Sleep features will increase (with on wake-up) or decrease (on sleep) the system volume so as not to startle you. Adjustable sleep volume lets you select a comfortable "sleep" volume level without affecting the wake-to or listening volume levels.
A supplied analog audio interconnect affords hookups with non-docking iPods, other MP3 players, cassette players, or other audio devices. Other features include automatic frequency control (AFC) for enhanced FM reception, an amber backlight on all primary buttons, and optical knobs for precise volume/tuning.
For extra security, if you've selected iPod as your wake-to source and your iPod isn't docked, a buzzer will sound instead. The clock also comes with Sure Alarm battery backup--just install 2 AA batteries to activate the feature. In the event of a power failure, or if you disconnect the AC power cord to move it, the Sure Alarm system will maintain your clock and alarm setting for the life of the batteries, ensuring that the alarm will sound at the set time.
The iH5 is "Made for iPod"-certified by Apple.
What's in the Box
Clock radio, a stereo analog audio interconnect, dock inserts for any type of docking iPod (gen 3, gen 4, iPod mini, iPod photo, iPod nano), an AC power adapter, and a user's manual with warranty information.

Look elsewhere.......2007-12-12
Our iHome is now just a clock radio as the ipod dock has a short in it after about 7-8 months of (infrequent) use. Had this issue not occurred, I would have given it 3+ stars as it is functional, but sound quality is a little lacking and the remote has very limited distance.
Decent, works with iPod Touch.......2007-11-06
Okay, there are some good things about this product, and it works with my iPod Touch, which is great, but ...
what were they thinking with the button layout? The middle row of buttons, behind the snooze alarm, is a set of buttons that you rarely want to use, and which are easy to press by accident.
In particular, the button on the left, which toggles between which alarms are set (none, iPod alarm, radio alarm, or both) is right in front of the button that plays iPod tracks. So twice already I've accidentally toggled my alarm clock from both alarms being set to no alarm being set when all I wanted to do was play the iPod music. Really bad design.
It should be a basic rule of alarm clock design that it is difficult to change the alarm clock setting by accident.
IHOME DOES NOT WOrk WITH NEWER IPODS.......2007-10-29
I bought this Ihome IH5 a few months agao when I had an old 3rd genreation IPOD. Well it was time for an upgrade and I just bought a new 8g NANO. Gues what, this machine does not work on any of the newer IPODS brought out in 2007!
When I called to complain I was told, "well we did not know Apple was bringing out new versions??? Come on that is just pure bunk!. So I asked so do I just throw out $99.00 and buy a different machine. The answer was well I cannot tell you what to do, but we are trying to test the new models and maybe you will have to download some software. I asked when and they said we do nnot know it will be a few months. So all the money I spent on this machine is totally wasted. DO NOT BUY THESE PRODUCTS, if you have a 2007 IPOD or planning on one for the holidays
Don't waste your money on this one.......2007-10-25
The sound quality is poor and we can never listen to the radio without static. You have to hit the buttons twice to turn it off or on. Needless to say, we don't use it any more. Instead we bought [[ ASIN: B000OFSN4G Altec Lansing inMotion iM600 ]] which isn't an alarm system but you can set an alarm with the iPod and whose sound quality is excellent.
Pretty good Product, Pretty Good Price.......2007-10-17
Pro -

Able to charge your Ipod over night

Input and output features
Con -
No presets for radio
No bass/treble controls
Sound quality is so-so
Before I bought this item there was only one drawback that I could see, its price. I didn't understand what was so valuable about this Ipod/Clock radio combo that I would want to pay $70-90 for one, but I purchased one anyways because I knew that I could sell it on Amazon or eBay for close to the purchase price that I paid for it. I thought that I would keep it for a couple of month and if I didn't work out I would re-sell it. I have let that couple of months tick by and I really happy to say that this was a good purchase and I use every aspect of this device more often than I thought I was going to.
This includes just being able to use my Ipod more often because the Ihome allows you to charge overnight. Nothing beats to waking up to my favorite band, Dave Mathews thanks to the Ihome because you get to wake up to the music on your Ipod. Of course, you can still wake up to the regular beeping noise also, but I love all of the options that this device gives you. As other reviewers have noted, this model gives you three options as to the brightness of the display light, which is nice.
The sound that this unit produces isn't mind shattering, but that is not what I purchased it for in the first place and I didn't expect it to be that great. It doesn't have any bass or treble features, so you have rely on your Ipod equalizer settings for different music sound selections. And if you use the radio there are not any pre-sets available, but then again I don't use my Ihome to listen to the radio because I have XM radio in addition to my Ipod. But to its defense the Ihome is capable of being hooked to a larger stereo system because of its output function and you can put other devices into the unit through its input hook-up.
All in all, this a very capable unit that seems to be put together with quality materials that I expect to have for a number of years. Not to mention that is also compatible with basically the entire Ipod line, which is more than I can say for the Apple cooperation and all of the changes that they have made to their latest 6th generation of Ipods, and what reviewers have wrote about them.

Saitek A-250 Wireless 2.1 Speaker.......2007-12-18
Present to my brother. He likes it but said it was a little difficult to start using at first. After that, no problem & great sound from such a small device. Thanks!
Satisfactory.......2007-12-12
Don't expect it to be as good as a wired speaker set. Base is lacking and the quality and sound resolution is only average.
Terrible.......2007-12-12
Could not get installed. Worked briefly, then dropped signal. No tech support. I reinstalled my old speakers.
Setup Tips - Winamp - Review.......2007-12-01
I don't know if I am the only user who hasn't received a paired unit, but this may help others.
After finding that the bluetooth didn't work per setup instructions, I dug through the troubleshooting to find in the middle of a paragraph to "double-tap" the button. I later found a photocopied 8.5 x 11 with correct instructions on it in the bottom of the box. Look for the sheet.
Bluetooth setup: (you have 20 sec to complete this from step 2)
1. Power on speaker
2. Press and hold prev and next buttons until radio symbol flashes quickly.
3. Hold power button on transmitter for 2 sec to turn it on.
4. Double tap the same button to pair it to the speakers.
5. Display will say OK.
Takeover sound function on computer:
Hold power button for 2 sec to take over after hooked up via USB.
Hold again to toggle back.
Hardwire setup.
1. Hold Play/Pause button until display says "Line"
Winamp:
Apparently AOL removed the "Enable default multimedia key support: " checkbox from the global hotkeys section in v5.5, so the play/pause won't work. The forward next works and the stop works if you switch to Line mode. Play/Pause, etc work great in windows media player.
Range: Range is greatly improved if you just use the USB cable (power and audio) and suspend the transmitter.
I have good experience with multiple walls, tile, cabinets, 45+ ft, etc. It even works outside in many locations.
Pretty good sound, and at today's price of $53, it's a good deal. BTW, I always try to buy these types of devices directly from amazon because if they don't work right, it is so easy to return.
Fidelity: Not high, but good. much better than many.
If you use the bluetooth with TV, or any video, the lips will be out of sync. The only way to avoid that would be to have a video device which had a configurable audio/video delay. I haven't seen or heard of such a device, but I suppose it could just go between the output of anything and the monitor/audio devices. Works much better with a hard line.
Enjoy.
Bluetooth Standard Powered speakers, the iFreedom works with PC/Mac/IPOD!.......2007-11-14
Saitek made several versions of the A-250, but the one shipping now (late 2007) is the newest iFreedom version which works wirelessly BOTH with PCs AND iPods, or anything else with a mini headphone jack. Connects to PCs AND Macs (OS 10.4 & 10.5 tested) through USB with the included transmitter.
OR, you can directly connect to your computer through existing bluetooth (USE Passcode 8888) Alternately, it connects through headphone jacks on other stuff.
The bluetooth based transmitter has a rechargeable battery built in.
Smaller than you might think from the picture (see description) but excellent sound for the size. The controls work well to pause, skip back and forth in iTunes for PC (but do not work when using the headphone jack, or on a Mac).
No interference problems from 30 plus feet away for me, but YMMV. Highly recommended.
