Power supply looks to be of ok quality and appears to work well. However, there is quite a bit of fan noise. I'm in the computer business, and I have a lot of experience in building and repairing PC's, and this supply is one of the loudest I have come across yet.
I've only had one other experience with the Ultra company, and it was with an ATX case, of inferior quality. I should have known better, and not ordered a power supply from the same manufacturer. - Not recommended

Great performance! If you have a low budget and are looking for a gaming PC, this CPU is for you (3800+ X2 can do the trick too if you can get it). The price tag for this baby's performance is a steal. I tried higher processors and performance difference impact on games is minimal. I'll stick with this one for now. No more power than this is needed. Today's GPUs do all the raw gaming work.

This processor is perfect for me. I expected a little more out of it because it's a dual core but it still is a step up from what I had before. Also for a dual core it stays really cool with the help of Arctic Silver which I highly recommend.

Not what I expected........2007-03-28
I like the wires connection design. Fan is quiet. The problem I had was the fan guard or cover came loose and stop the fan from spinning when I transported it in my car. It should been able to handle the vibration but it did not.. This is the first time this ever happen. Quality of the build is the issue.. I just removed the broken fan guard and the power supply pretty much worked fine. Since I did that warranty is probably voided. Can not avoid down time. Would gave a five star if not for the problem.

I had this unit for about 6 months one day smelled somthing getting hot. Reached behind the computer a touched the power supply and it was hot enough to blister my finger. I don't think I need any more of these.

The only way I can get my power supply replaced is to allow them to charge $99.00 to my credit card. Which they said they would reimbursed in full upon reciept of the defective item at there warehouse and determined to be defectived. They would not answer how long it would take for the refund!!

Great power system. Cables really shine with UV lights, and they are very manegeable too. Power is redundant, another Y cable molex connector would be useful though.

I purchased 1 of these last fall for my X1900's in Crossfire, runs them overclocked no problems at all, steady/reliable 12v rail.. Purchased a second to use in conjunction with a R600, or possibly a X1900 Dual Pro Crossfire setup.. Why pay the $$$$ for a Gonga power supply when 2 of these are easily less than a 1/4 of what a 1000=1200 watt supply is gonna run you...

Dead or didn't work.......2007-06-05
I spent time installing this - had to remove the CPU cooler and reinstall it... and it completely failed to work! I called Antec and they mentioned a compatibility problem with 965 boards (which I was using) and this PS. Supposedly I had a "fixed" unit though, but it failed to work. Going back to the old PS (an Antec SmartPower) worked without a problem.
Bad Psu cant run in asus and intel 965wh boards!!!.......2006-11-04
This Power Supply cant run in a asus boards, and many intel 965 boards ...and in other because the anemic +5v and +3.3v 17A and 23A, and today the power needed is minimun 25A and 35 A in this rails. Dont buy, at less you have a pentium 2 or pentium 3 because in my other system with AMD 3000+ venice, 1gb ram and mx 440 the pc shutdown randomly and i only work in word, internet and itunes...it dont provide enough power....fake PS i dont read before the review of this PS because ANTEC is the big name in power supply and my current PS is an ANTEC SP350 and have a lot more power in the +3.3v and +5v...this antec neo HE go directly in the garbage and lost my USD 95 but i never, ever buy again ANTEC.

This is my second PSU. I got an ULTRA X-Finity, but it SUCKS! So in a week, I bought this unit. I am very delight that I had bought it. This is quiet, and looks cool. The look is high quality.
You can choose how many calbe you want to use to reduce the temperature inside the case. It also supports SLI(dual grahic card), and dual cores.
I have heard that this unit doesnt quite suppport ASUS A8N-series mobo. I dont know. I have ECS K8N SLI lite. They work quite well.
