EXCELLENT PRODUCT!.......2007-12-28
I am SO glad I came to Amazon to buy this adapter! APPLE wanted to charge me $30 for the exact same product and I bought it for $5 here! It works perfectly! I LOVE AMAZON.COM!!!!
Don't bother.......2007-12-24
I took a chance and bought this. It came quickly but only lasted 3 days and then gave out. If you want to buy a charger then go with Belkin or another reliable model. This one didn't make the grade. I guess you get what you pay for.
An Ipod Must Have.......2007-12-14
Having this adapter has made charging my Ipod so much faster and efficient. No more waiting a rediculous amount of time just plug it in and in less than an hour I'm good to go!!!
Its good..........2007-11-30
CTA Travel charger for iPod is real cool. As it is 40$ with Apple, I was looking for a cheaper, quality stuff...and this travel charger proves to be one...I am happy!
Cheap and Fast!.......2007-11-30
Glad I purchased this. It's a fanastic price and charges fast. Serves it purpose.

Amazon.com Product Description
In years past, you had to recharge your rechargeable batteries before leaving on a trip or sliding them into your electronic device. Otherwise, you ran the risk of depending on nearly dead batteries once you reached your destination, as stored power tends to degrade over time. Now GE/Sanyo steps into the void with its eneloop line of batteries, which come pre-charged and ready to use right out of the pack. Even better, the batteries have an extremely low self-discharge rate, with the ability to maintain 85 percent of residual capacity after one year of storage and 70 percent residual capacity after two years of storage. As a result, leaving home without recharging the batteries won't ruin your Bryce Canyon vacation or cross-country plane trip.
Eneloop batteries offer a number of advantages over traditional alkaline batteries, including up to four times more power when used in a digital camera, high performance even at low temperatures (down to 23 degrees F) during your winter vacation, and a vast cost savings in the long run. The eneloop advantages are even more glaring when compared to typical NiMH batteries: not only are they ready for use right out of the box, but they generally last longer than most NiMH batteries (continuous and frequent recharging can destroy other NiMH models) and save both time and money (traditional NiMH charging is slow when you're in a hurry, while rapid chargers are expensive). All told, you can recharge eneloop batteries up to 1,000 times without experiencing a memory effect; just charge the amount you need and you're set.
This four-pack of 800 mAh AAA batteries is ideal for everything from electric shavers to TV remotes to portable flashlights.

Very disappointing.......2007-12-31
Would not buy this product again. If you have any problem with a sanyo product, you will NEVER get service from this company. After 2 weeks of sending meails and several hours of calling every Sanyo customer service number I could find online, I just gave up. You will only get voice-prompts, circular loops, and deaed-end messages. DON'T BUY SANYO
Love these!.......2007-12-26
These are the best rechargeable batteries I've found. They hold their charge for longer than any other I've used, and they charge quicker, too.
Great Batteries.......2007-11-26
These are the top batteries on the market. MUCH more durable than regular rechargeable ones. RECOMMENDED!
Batteries that keep their charge.......2007-11-25
Great batteries that don't discharge waiting for their next use. I know that when I pick up my flash unit a week or a month from now, the charge will still be there.
Not your normal, crummy NiMH battery.......2007-11-17
I replaced the batteries in my engineering model calculator with three AAA eneloops several weeks ago. The batteries have kept going and going compared with regular NiMH AAA's which are not suitable for long term low drain devices like this because they won't keep going and going. They disapate far too quickly. You would have to recharge them so often it would make you crazy.
I also like the idea I can keep several sets of eneloops charged up and ready for use in my camera, a high drain device, for which a regular NiMH might be useful. Problem is I don't take all my photos within a day or two and regular NiMH's disipate. Once again, I have to recharge. Not so with eneloops. For me these batteries are the greatest.
2700 mAH's (or more in the future) of energy storage capacity for the highest regular NiMH's does not trump eneloops 2100 mAH for me if most of the 2700 mAH's disipates within days of its having been charged. TV remote controls, calculators, shavers and all sorts of uses where alkalines were more appropriate eneloops (or other hybrid NiMH batteries) can now be used. Good job!

Excellent product! .......2008-01-01
The ordering process was extremely easy. The camera was delivered before the expected day of delivery. The product works great!
Canon A550: good camera at a reasonable price.......2007-12-22
I think this camera is a very good option for people in general, mainly for beginners. It would be even greater if it had a bigger LCD screen.
Mechanically Flawed, Photos are OK.......2007-12-17
If you are a novice photographer, you will probably not notice the oddities with this camera. In many cases, the photos are overexposed on sunny days. Underwater photography (in underwater housing) is so-so. It does pretty well in low light conditions (after manually setting the ISO really high). The nifty little shutter on the front started to stick upon opening after owning it for 4 months (I keep it in a case, so this is definitely a mechanical design flaw). Movies are of good quality. Gets good life out of rechargeable batteries. I'd only buy it again if I couldn't find another camera with this many features that took no more than 2 AA batteries.
Great Pictures!.......2007-12-15
I love this camera. It was in my price range and it takes awesome pictures. Since it takes AA's I would recommend buying the lithium batteries. They cost a bit more, but they last really long. I got my camera in May and I'm only on my second pair of batteries. I would definitely recommend this camera.
Most Useless Camera I Ever Owned.......2007-12-13
This is the most useless camera I ever owned. I mailed my second replacement (third camera) back yesterday. Why? The battery door would not open on any of the Canon PowerShot A550 cameras that I received.
I talked to a couple of friends that were photography enthusiasts. They were not able to help me get the battery door open, which means I was not able to use the camera at all.
I am going back to my film camera. At least Kodak knows how to manufacture a camera with a battery door that opens.
A pox upon Canon and their quality control department.

Slave flash for S3 IS - Question.......2007-12-30
I have a Canon Speedlite 200E. Can this be used as a slave flash for the S3 IS?
If not, can anyone recommend a good flash?
Good Camera but I have one issue.......2007-12-29
I have had this camera since September, 2007. Overall an good product and relatively easy to use. I do have one question to the other users. When I take a vertical image, it is cropped on both the right and left sides. In other words, the inage appears in the middle and black lines on either side. I contacted Canon and they said this is normal. I have a hard time believing this. I have had other brands of SLR's and an Olympus digital and this never happened. Can someone tell me how to override this and if I take the memory card to the store for prints, will this image have the same lines on either side?
wonderful!.......2007-12-28
I have had a camera for over 20 years now. I love taking pictures and trying to get what I see to translate to the picture so I can share my vision with others. Since I got my first digital, I feel like I've been fighting with the camera to do what I want, and it was getting harder and harder to get my vision across.
And then I bought the S3. It makes things so easy! Just keeping it on Auto has made some terrific photos, which show what I wanted to show, without having to fight anything.
It turns on and off instantly, unlike the camera I replaced with the S3. It's almost silent. The noise of taking a picture can be turned on and off, but I like the little noise, so I keep it on. You can also change the noise to something silly like a dog barking, which is amusing.
I've started to experiment with the other settings, but even if all I ever used was the Auto and my "eye", I'd be happy with this camera.
I did consider the S5 because it has a couple more options, but when I tried them out in a store, the S5 was just a little bit bigger, deeper from front to back, and it didn't fit my relatively small hand as well. The S3 is a bit smaller, and fits perfectly.
Camera Review.......2007-12-24
I love the camera. I have high school boys in sports and am using the sports sequence and continuous shooting features which are great and self explanatory. I am very happy with my new camera.
A very good camera!.......2007-12-17
Though I own a couple of low quality snapshot digital cameras, this camera was my first move into a serious digital camera. Before, when I wanted good quality photos, I would resort to using my old Canon A1 SLR film camera, which I have been using since the mid eighties.
I was very pleased to see this camera not only took excellent pictures, but also included most of the features of my old SLR, such as the ability to set the apertures and shutter speeds manually. Also with a lens adopter(I prefer the aluminum ones made by Lensmate over Canon's plastic ones) and stepping ring (both purchased separately) I could also use my collection of lens filters from my old SLR.
This camera works much like an SLR, only it uses a digital viewfinder instead of an optical one. This is one of the reasons I like this camera, as I like to shoot pictures of wildlife and the ability to turn off the shutter sound is a real boon. With an optical viewfinder on a SLR there is a little mirror inside the camera to reflect the view into the viewfinder, the mirror must be raised to take a picture, causing an unavoidable `thunk' sound which can make wildlife photography very difficult.
Though the automatic modes make this camera accessible to anyone, it might not be the best camera for those looking for a simple point and shoot camera. The ones who will benefit most from this camera are serious amatures and professionals looking for an alternative to a DSLR. Also worth mentioning, there are 1st and 3rd party lenses and accessories available for this camera.
Summing this up, I must say I am very pleased with this camera and would recommend it to anyone looking for a serious high quality digital camera.

Customer Reviews:
very clever item!.......2007-12-21
I love the fact that it's an "all-in-one" unit, easily switched to whatever configuration you need. Light and compact, perfect for travel.
Description did not match reality.......2007-12-07
I bought this adaptor specifically for my vacation to China. The product description says it works in China. This is false! The plug configuration is different in China (triangle shape). So this adaptor was useless to me!
Belkin F8E449 Universal AC Travel Adapter .......2007-12-02
This device packs all necessary features into one compact, small package that fits easily in your bags - which is just what you want on the road. The socket adapters easily unfold and with compatibility for European, British and US standard plugs, you pretty much have all bases covered wherever you go.
And what about the performance?
Well, some of you may say "What's there to perform for a travel adapter? All you do is plug in your gadgets, and that's that, right?"
That's almost right, but having tried other travel adapters, there really is a ton of complications you can have with them. Some adapters fall of the wall when you connect heavier plugs (esp. ones where the charger/converter is built into the plug). Others are finicky and sensitive to touch or accidental bumps, losing charge off and on. Others won't fit a number of sockets for some reasons. And so on...
But on the contrary, the Belkin F8E449 Universal AC Travel Adapter comes through as one reliable, sturdy device. It keeps up the current even if accidentally touched or bumped into and hugs the wall like Spiderman.
So in short, this is a reliable device at a great price point / value, and a versatile companion on the road.
Just remember that you may still need an electric currency transformer for some devices, so check the voltage range on the device or charger before plugging it in - this will save you from eventually frying the heck out of it.
Does not convert!!!.......2007-11-26
This does not convert, it just adapts, you will fry something easily!!!
That is a very important point to leave out in your ad!!! They are misrepresenting themselves!
Does not do voltage conversion.......2007-11-13
Amazon's description is misleading - it implies this product does voltage conversion, it does NOT. If you buy this, make sure your electrical items can use 110V or 220-240V.

Customer Reviews:
Great outlet.......2007-12-13
I have the grey version and it seems to hide the dirt much better than the white.... So far so good. I like the option to close the outlet when not in use and the 3 well-spaced outlets for adapters. Good thinking on their part.
SURGEMASTER.......2007-10-31
This is my second purchase of this particular Surgemaster. I don't know much about these things and I hope they are doing their job. There was a lightning storm last night and so far so good.
King of power-strips.......2007-10-13
I've bought a many power strips over the years, but this one is by far the best. I've now bought three of them. The only problem I've had is with a cat named Pippen, who manages to step on the on/off switch.
I feel sure you will be more than pleased with this product. I am.
Does the job.......2007-06-30
We bought this to use with our TV, DVD player, ect...It does the job. We have been through several big thunder storms and have not had a problem with it. Lots of space to plug things in.
a little disappointed.......2007-06-20
After reading other reviews, I decided to purchase 2 of these. When they arrived, 1 was defective - the ground light did not work and I had to return it. Generally I do not think they are as well made as some other reviews state. A couple of the 'inputs' feel like there is not a good contact when the plug is inserted. However, I am replacing the defective one and keeping the other because I like the protection warranties and I hope once in place in my home, they will do the job.

Customer Reviews:
Entry Level Product.......2007-12-30
This is really the entry level, so don't expect to have long battery back up time. I have a 19inch LCD monitor and a Dell Inspiron 530 desktop plugged into this and it gives only 5 min back up time. Nevertheless, this is really for you to back up your work during a blackout, not meant for you to continue working during the blackout... But with such short battery back up time, I should have bought the one with 3x2 slots at Circuit City for $30 instead; could have saved $9.
Worked for me for four years now.......2007-12-16
I have the six outlet previous model of this product. I have a home office and have plugged two models of Macs into this unit and it has worked like a charm for me. My house has pretty crappy 1950s wiring and my neighborhood has all above ground wiring and lots of trees. This leads to many power outages and I have not had any problems with surges even though my husband's computer was killed by a surge (he doesn't have an UPS). It gives me plenty of time to shut my machine down and save my work in the event of an outage.
I agree that on my model the outlets are a bit too close together to allow for my giant plugs. I also agree that the alarm beep is a bit annoying.
Pretty good - bad button design.......2007-12-07
The only gripe I have is that the power button is easy to have accidentally pressed and doing so interrupts power to everything, including that which is plugged into the "battery backup". Both my 18 month old, my cat and myself have tripped it. I think I need to hide the unit better. I haven't had a power outage since it arrived and haven't tripped the breaker to see if it works, but it came with a nice handwritten QA slip, so I am confident that it works. The included "auto-shutdown" software wasn't written for linux, so I haven't used that feature.
Battery doesn't last long.......2007-12-04
I've had this UPS for around a year. The battery has degraded to the point where it only runs for about 10 seconds before giving up, with a 150 watt load (measured with a watt meter).
Getting a replacement battery from APC costs $20 plus $10 for shipping, so it's either $30 for a new battery, or $39.00 for a whole new unit - seems like a waste.
Not what I thought.......2007-11-22
Be careful, although this UPS has 8 connectors, only 4 is backed up by the battery, the 4 other is only surge protected. I didn't read the fine print, just saw the "8 outlets" writing.
Also, even though there's plenty of room on the UPS, the outlets are lumbed together so I cannot fit multiple adapters. There's just no excuse for putting them so tightly together. It's annoying and stupid.

My Cyber Power hub is great!.......2008-01-01
I had been having a problem with the powered hub I was using with my computer, so I purchased this 7 port hub from Cyber Power. Not only does it work great but when I thought I had a problem, their customer service responded immediately. Turned out the only problem was with the owner not the product. So far it has worked great and is connecting a scanner, a printer, a camera and an external hard drive to my mac with lots of room for more. It also makes a convenient place to quickly plug in my flash drive.
Works as Advertized and Expected.......2007-12-11
I've been using the USB hub for about a month. It's working exactly as I expected. The lights probably are a bit bright if you're sleeping in the same room, so you'll want to turn it off in that case (or cover the lights somehow - some electrical tape might work).
Good Device-LED's dont shut off.......2007-12-09
This shouldn't be a big problem for everybody, but its a bit of a problem for me because i live in a dorm and the light could be a bit annoying at times. it would be nice if it had an automatic shut off, but thats just me.
Did not work with cool max hd 360.......2007-12-05
Installed easily. Connected my Coolmax 360 HD external drive to the hub and started a backup. Backup hung in less then 500megabytes. Re-tried 3 times with the hub each try was a no go. Tried 3 times without the hub backup completed without a problem. I returned the hub. Will try the Belkin next.
More Ports - Less Desk Space - Mikey Likes It!.......2007-12-05
Problem:
It seems there's always something else to plug in to a USB port on my laptop, but I've long since run out of ports for plugging. In desperation, I bought a 4-port hub (working just fine, thank you), but I still did not have enough ports to do the job. And the idea of daisy-chaining was not practical because my desk is already overloaded.
Solution:
Enter the CyberPower 7-port hub. Space-saving solution to running out of ports. And, with its own power supply, it's not draining power from my laptop. Works like a charm!
I did find the glow light annoying, but it's easy enough to unplug the hub when I finish working in the evening, so it's not a big issue for me.
I'm a happy camper now, and I whole-heartedly recommend this hub for those who need more ports in a small space. I should also commend Amazon for super-fast delivery. Problem solved!
P.S. Mikey is my cat. He likes this hub and shows it by periodically knocking it off my desk.
I would prefer that Mikey didn't like it!

Great Add On To The Archos.......2007-11-13
For starters the Archos 605 would have been better off as having a removable battery but since owners of this unit aren't so fortunate the next best alternative is this - it's not bad at all. It's a bit strange in specs; especially when attached to the player but it does it's job well and that's to extend the battery life on the player itself. It can be attached to the Archos and one can still use the kickstand on the player to watch videos, etc.
I just wish that the battery dock was a tad smaller than what it is. Combined with the player (while attached) it is not the most of comfortable things to carry in your pocket. Would I recommend? Absolutely.
Piece of junk.......2007-10-17
Failed after 3 uses. Too typical of Chinese made Archos accessories.
