I have two of these--one in my office on which a 22 inch lcd monitor sits, and one at home on which my laptop and docking station sit. This is stable, has air vents which are good for dissipating heat from my docking station, and is attractive to look at. Although the height is not adjustable, for me the height is just right.

Awesome product !! I purchased for my Samsung 32" LCD TV. It weighs 30 pounds. Wouldn't hesitate to put a bigger TV on it as it's very well constructed and sturdy. Also looks very nice.

This monitor stand works and looks great. However, the dimensions listed here are incorrect. The correct dimensions of the Allsop Metal Art Monitor Stand are 23.5" x 14.5" x 4.75". The dimensions listed on this website (as of the writing of this review) are closer to the Metal Art Junior version.

Small and efficient........2007-08-11
It takes up almost no room in my laptop bag when it is folded up and unlike other commenters, it does not block ANY slots on either side of my Dell Inspiron 9400 17" widescreen laptop. The 15 degree angle makes using the keyboard much more comfortable and there is sufficent airspace underneath it for cooling purposes.

I got this product couple of hours ago. I used to use something like this before and I foun that this product is very durable and very portable. It's really help my laptop from heating problem. My laptop is Sony Vaio N-Series. Yes, it does cover the SD slot of my laptop, but without the cover, it won't hold your laptop tight, which I think you not gonn like it.
I was in the market of laptop stand. I found that my product is fit my need the most. I do not need the heightor USB port. All I need is a laptop stand that can raise up my laptop for heating release. If your laptop is too hot, your computer's parts will be broken very soon.
I suggest anyone who has laptop should buy this product.

Finally something that works as promised and is inexpensive.
While I agree with the other apple review, i must disagree that the stand covers the drive. Because the stand's legsz length can be extended, the macbook pro 17" can easily be put to the left side of the stand. It has perfect stability and allows the cd to pop out. Even though the computer is toward one side of the stand, it maintains perfect stability. Also, on the Apple, the front hooks holding it on are exactly the hight of the bottom of the laptop, so you never feel them. On all other stands, the drive is blocked.
The computer still runs a little hot, but it cools it down alot. Not only that, but the computer is lifted to a more pleasing hight, especially the moniter. Further, the strain on your wrists are taken away by the slight lift in the back. Very portable and non obtrusive.
Only con is that it can't be used on the lap, but that is not what I bought it for.

Couldn't hang speakers.......2007-02-17
These stands arrived as promised, but unfortunately they weren't set up for us to be able to hang our speakers on them as expected. The hole provided was too small for our model. However, we were able to use the sticky tabs included and they have been strong enough to hold the speakers. They seem to be working just fine so far.

I found the speaker stands to be of good quality and construction. The cast iron bases keep the stands secure. The verticle tubing is off set to keep the speakers on a verticle plain which helps balance. The tubing is adjustible for various heights.The base is black with the tubing a silver color which matches most of the products sold today. The speakers I have are silver with black screens. The stands come with several options of hardware which will accomodate the mounting of most all small to medium speakers. I am very well satisfied with the speaker stands and would recomend them to anyone that wants to mount their speakers.

They Work Perfect.......2007-01-31
Was first drawn to them based on price so I took a chance and ordered them. They came in a small box so I thought this must be a mistake or the wrong item but when I opened the box it was correct. After 10 minute assembly procees (very easy) I had my speakers (bose cubes)attached and the wires ran through them. Very sturdy and the height, although at the maximum, puts them just above my couch. Exactly what I was looking for in fit and function.

I bought two sets of these stands for use with my Boston Acoustics home theater setup and they have been fantastic. The fit and finish is well done, running wires through the stand was easy, and they look good with the rest of my equipment. Would get 5 stars but they feel a bit tippy with the heavier front speakers (this is mostly due to how they are fixed to the stands.) Overall a very good product that I highly recommend.

I had bought a much more expensive gadget that was to support my PC speakers but it was a big, clumsy, ugly set of stainless steel clamps and tended to drop the speakers, damaging one. This Home Theatre Speaker Stand is actually a set of two which assemble very easily and have worked well. They blend in with my decor and are unobtrusive. They were very reasonably priced and arrived very quickly. I am very happy with my purchase.

I actually bought this stand for a 26" high definition TV that is in a spare bedroom. Mounting the TV in the corner instead of on a wall not only saved a lot of time and trouble, it was the best place for viewing. It is the only corner stand I could find. I like the contemporary look which goes nicely with the TV and the satellite box and DVR player fit perfectly below the TV. It is exactly what I needed and the price was great.

I purchase 2 pairs of these for the new "theater" room I set up. The speakers mount perfectly to them. The bases are heavy enough that they don't fell like they will tip over. I only wish they were height adjustable. The fronts are a perfect height, but the rear speakers could be a little higher.

I gave this to my daughter for her birthday. She was thrilled with the product. After a week or so she called and said that it had stopped working. She read directions and let it rest for a while. She made sure everything was clean inside. It still didn't work. She finally called to have it returned. Amazon said they would give her a merchandise credit, but she was so disheartened. I hope others have not had a similar experience.

Well, I'd written a glowing, very detailed review of this item 2 days after I received it as a birthday gift. It's beautiful, works well diffusing oils into the air gently, and *didn't survive* 4 days of intermittent use.
The first time the water came below the sensor, it turned off, as it was supposed to. According to the (badly written) instructions, I should have been able to just add water to bring the level over the sensor and it would work again. Nope. I unplugged it, filled it, and the sensor light was still on. I let it rest for about an hour. It turned on and made mist/diffused for about 3 minutes and shut off again - the red light indicating a too-low water level. Unfortunately, the sensor happened to be under about an inch of water at the time. After many attempts to remedy this situation, I'm going to have to ask the purchaser for the receipt so I can send it back. It's too bad because I was completely in love with this item.
I might try just to get a replacement, but I might return it for a completely different ultrasonic diffuser.

The unit delivers as promised. If the keyboard is full sized, you won't get a mouse working on here, for me that was fine. Install is easy as there is a template for your starter drill holes, the rest was easy as pie. Took about 30 minutes start to finish. The slide in-out mechanism is quite firm in my installation, the sliding back-and-forth delivers a firm resistance, but the install is solid and will last forever.

I'm very pleased with this keyboard drawer. It is very sturdy and slides in and out well. I have had a plastic one in the past and it felt like it was going to brake or fall off at any time. I don't even give that a thought with this one.
Sturdy and convenient if somewhat narrow keyboard drawer.......2005-09-22
The keyboard drawer is a sturdy steel item. It slides out smoothly on 2 nylon casters. A back stop keeps it from pulling out too far and detaching from the mounting brackets. The edge of the drawer is a 1 cm diameter steel tube that is comfortable on my palms. The desk attachment wobbles slightly, but that doesn't affect my typing. Overall, it's a good design.
Installation only took a few minutes. I needed to drill 4 screw holes into the underside of the desk. The kit included a printed drill template, so I didn't have to measure. The text and artwork in the instructions were satisfactory.
The keyboard drawer is a little too narrow to accomodate an extended keyboard and a mouse. There isn't enough room for a wide left-right sweep of the mouse. If I were to buy another keyboard drawer, I would look for one 5 cm wider, or one with a floating mouse drawer.

The product arrived damaged. It was not properly packaged and the corners
were broken. The box it came in was all beat up. It sat in the foyer until
pickup and the smell from the wood or the resins in the wood was extremely strong. They even caution to let it air out. The price was really good $159, but you know the saying. You get what you pay for. Would not recommend.

I purchased the stand and it arived broken, returned it, u.p.s. lost it on the return route. I filed a claim, only received $121.00 dollar refund because no insurance amount was checked, even with proof of amount of item. So, I have a bad taste left from this transaction.

Great stands for black speakers.......2007-01-01
I bought some Ascend Acoustics speakers - the larger size units, to make a two-channel system. I decided to go with these stands, as they make the speakers look good - like studio monitors, I guess.
I couldnt get lead shot conveniently, so I filled each with two containers of copper BBs, which worked perfectly for weighing down the bottom. I used blu-tak poster type adhesive in five small balls to adhere the speakers, and while a large force would knock them off, even if the speaker/stand units fell onto the ground, likely all would remain affixed.
These stands are very sturdy, high quality, yet simple and nice. i wish they would put a bit more weight in the bottoms from the factory, but then again, shipping would be more expensive.
