Use it to send and receive TTY or Voice Carry Over (VCO) communication, place Hearing Carry Over (HCO) calls, or for regular voice calls. Plug this device into a standard phone line and an AC power outlet, and youre set for all types of communication. Features include an amplified handset with adjustable volume control, providing 0-20 dB gain, a bright 2-line 24-character display, the auto-answerer stores both voice and text messages in an 8 K memory, Voice Carry Over (VCO) calls, where one person speaks and then reads typed responses are supported 2 ways. These calls can be made through a toll-free relay service, or for more privacy, directly between 2 Uniphones. Hearing Carry Over (HCO) calls function similarly to VCO calls, accommodating a person who hears but cannot speak, Turbo Code technology provides a natural, real-time back and forth pace to your calls, Auto ID announces your text calls as coming from a TTY. A relay voice announcer tells those who call you that they have reached a TTY and must use a TTY or dial a relay number to communicate with you, and then gives the caller your relay number, Ring flasher and Speed-dialing. The Direct connect design allows you to send and receive TTY messages by simply plugging the Uniphone into a standard analog phone jack. Connect a parallel printer using the optional Ultratec Uniphone 1140 printer cable.

I ordered on a holiday weekend n my order was deliverd W/out delay. I use pockrtcomm tty/vco with my cellphone "VOQ Proffessional" ,pay phones n my home phone. Just love it! Own it for a month now n used it every which way, about a 100 hours of uses. BuilderDepot is a Home Improvement site, "Cross marketing?"
In any case, I've found other things of interest n will be ordering again.
