Simply turn on the headset to establish a reliable wireless connection to a compatible phone up to 32.8 feet away. The headset's Bluetooth 1.2 compatibility means that you'll enjoy faster connections, better audio quality, adaptive frequency hopping and improved interference rejection (don't worry, it's also compatible with the older Bluetooth 1.1 specification). With up to six hours of talk time, you can converse to your heart's content before you'll need to charge the HS820's internal battery. The headset also has up to 100 hours of standby time, so you're always ready to receive a handsfree call.

No matter how fancy or powerful a headset may be, it's not all that useful if it isn't comfortable. Fortunately, the HS820 has comfort covered. The earhook is designed to work on your left or right ear, while an intuitive function menu and comfortable buttons make everyday use a breeze. There's also an LED light indicator that shows the status of the headset, including notification of pairing mode, pairing successful, power state, charge state and call state. Call management features --such as voice dialing, last number dial, conference calling and hold-- are available right from the headset, so you can leave your phone in your pocket, in your briefcase, or across the room. All of this is rolled up into a package that weighs less than .8 ounces.

Wouldn't buy it again.......2007-12-14

This headset had no problem linking to my phone but no one I talk to on the phone wants me to use this. They complain that it sounds like I'm talking to them with a tin can.

Volume!!!!.......2007-12-07

What is it with bluetooths and volume. This is my third and I have to turn it all the way up and than press it in to my ear at times when there is ambient noise around (road noise while in car, crowded rooms, etc.)

I want to know if anyone ever uses the lowest volume setting on their headset.

Otherwise, a simple to use headset. I like how it just hangs on the ear and I forget it's there.

Not a bad product...easy to set up and use. No instructions were included, so had to google the item to get the code to input. Just in case, the default is 1111

Stopped working after 8 months.......2007-11-12

It worked great while it lasted. One day though it stopped working. The blue light came on and stayed on as long as there was charge in it, and I couldn't get anything to connect to it or it to respond to any button presses. My wife and I got free cheapo Jabbra headsets when we bought our phones. I lost mine and got this as a replacement. This died in 8 months. My wife's cheapo Jabbra has lasted over 2 years.

I only bought a Bluetooth so it would be easier to talk on the phone when I'm in my car. I've had it for over a month and still have no complaints. The ear-piece fits fine. The sound quality is good. I always leave it on and so far battery life seems pretty good - I only have to charge it every 3-4 days. So overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend to others.

I just got this unit for the holidays. So far, so good. My cell phone, laptop, and palm pilot all recognized and were able to pair up with the unit. The earpiece volume could be a tad louder. I had to turn my stereo off so I could hear the person on the other line. I am happy with my first BT headset.

Strengths:
Good volume and clarity on both sides.
Simple function
Long battery life

Weaknesses:
Crackling with weak BT connection, rare connection drop.

I paired the HS820 with Motorola V551 which I returned and Nokia 6230 which I have now. (I returned V551 for wanting the calling card functionality hoping 6230 has it. Unfortunately it doesn't)

Voice Quality - I think the HS820 works better with the 6230 than V551. Good clarity, voice dialing works flawlessly and can even hear MP3 and video sound through the headset. Pairing is easy and effortless with both phones.

Look and Feel - Its pretty nice and looks space age. The feel is of a very good make and does not seem a cheap work at all.

The Blue Light - Some people have mentioned in their reviews that the blue light blinks continously but its not true. It stops blinking when no activity is detected for 5 mins. Also there is a way to turn it off before a call.

Fitting - Could have been better but is not bad at all. People with smaller earlobes could have a problem. I consider myself having an average sized earlobe an need some adjustment from time to time. Have to be careful while wearing jackets or hood, especially if your ears are numb cause of cold or somethin. But this is probably true for other headsets too.

I love this product, but sadly, it has not worked as hoped with the TREO 650

I have heard that it works great with Moto phones

However, I think that both the Moto 810 and Moto 850 have better volumes, and are both more comfortable and lighter, than this unit

If you must have Moto, then grab a Moto 810 or Moto 850

If you want the best, grab a Cardo Scala 500 -- the best bluetooth device for your Treo 650

Pretty good product.......2007-11-22

First off this product is pretty easy to use, just plug and play, however i did not like that the out of the box charge takes 7.5 hours! Later charges are faster, recieption is ok, doesnt not transmit through doors, walls, etc. All in all i give this a 9 out of 10!

Doesn't Pair.......2007-09-19

I bought this item online and I have had such good luck with other online purchases I threw away the packaging and now can't return the Jabra A120s. It doesn't pair with my three mono headsets: LG HBM-710, Zen Z-350, or the Voice Star. All 3 of these headsets do pair with the Cardo BTA II. I bought the Jabra A120s because it had a 3.5 stereo plug and I wanted to try a stereo headset. Since it doesn't match anything I already own I tried the Jabra web site but that doesn't work either. I clearly filled in all the required boxes and the form contined to say I hadn't. I tried calling Jabra's 1-800-327-2230 and that never got me to information or someone who could tell me why the A120s will not pair with mono headsets. I wanted to try the Motorola S9 stereo headset but I am afraid to try any new stereo or mono headset until I understand why it will not pair with the simple headsets I already own.
The Jabra Company obviously does not want to talk to or deal with their customers.

Great product.......2007-03-16

I bought this product to be able to connect my bluetooth capable headunit in my car to my Zune mp3 player. I was a little nervous that the sound quality would be poor or it would come and go but this product has been awesome. Once paired (which took me awhile to figure out) my headunit connects automatically to it when I turn the jabra on. The sound quality is awesome from low to high notes with hardly any noticable bluetooth 'hiss'. Haven't had a chance to try it with bluetooth head phones yet but I am seriously considering buying a pair.
