The Sansa e260 has a sleek, thin design with a large 1.8" TFT color screen for easy viewing. The strong alloy metal casing means the device is durable and scratch resistant. MP3 Player
The Sansa e260 will play MP3, WMA, and secure WMA formats. Other formats can be converted using the Sansa Media Converter (included). The e260 also uses PlaysForSure technology. Fantastic MP3 player.......2007-12-26
Bought this for myself a year or more ago, and I LOVE it. I liked it so much that I got one for my 17 year old son for Christmas this year. It does music, photos, videos, voice recordings and plays the radio. Quality is great. Easy to use. Sound and visuals are superb. One complaint is the goofy ear buds, but they all use those these days. My son uses his player with regular over the ear headphones, and they work great, too. I chose this model over the Ipod, and I'm glad I did. The versatility on this one and value for the price are great. This is compatible with all music software - we use winamp, but it also works with windows media player, etc. I wasn't crazy about Rhapsody - the software that came with the player - the quality of the downloads wasn't always there. We've had great luck with winamp, though. We are able to click and drag to load songs in seconds. We wanted the ability to load music from several sources and not be stuck with one software (itunes - used by the Ipod). We are totally happy with this player.

I bought this sansa e260 so I could record local radio tranmission of convention and assembly programs. It does this very well. It has 4gb of storage so an entire 3day convention fits if your careful. I stopped it after each part so it would make a seperate file for each. A couple of things I noticed that are not as positive, one the controls are kinda tricky to use, two you have to be careful not to leave it turned on. I kept finding its battery dead. Since I realized I was leaving it on now the battery life is fine. This is a very good alt to an Ipod. (I have both)

This was a gift for my 12 year old son and he is very please with it! It does everything he needs and then some. With all the video and picture options plus music, he will never be without entertainment.

The price was very good comparatively and delivery was exceptional. The player itself seems to do what it's described to do based on limited play time this Christmas morning. The default "auto-sync" feature can cause you to waste much time if you are not very careful when first hooking it up to your computer. In short, DON'T allow it to sync with your computer or it will upload everything in your Windows Media Player library.

Ordered this to re-charge my sansa from the wall socket. And its working absolutely as it supposed to be. I cannot use the player while recharging it through USB from a computer, but with this, I can use the player while charging also. Dont know about the other cables which were supplied along with. My entire purpose was met.

I got this cable when we lost my husbands original cable while evacuated in the San Diego fires. He was so mad when the cable would not fit his sansa e260. the cable is about .5mm to wide for the socket in the sansa

I bought this as a replacement for my original sandisk cable.
This really is JUST a charger. It only transfered music with the cord like 20% of the time. (weird) Maybe it is not usb 2.0...
However, it does charge well. Plus you can use the wall/car charger for other USB devices.

Doesn't Work.......2007-05-18
I just received this product and plugged in my Sansa. Windows tells me that the Sansa is not recognizable. The product does appear to allow charging of the device through the usb port, but that is useless since it doesn't allow recognition of the device or syncing of the device. I will consider the money wasted and buy a genuine SanDisk replacement cord

Forget what anybody says, this is a well made case. Soft leather exterior, padded suede leather interior, vinyl window (shipped with protective tape over it), reinforced lid with concealed magnetic catch made it a perfect choice for my Sansa. The player slides in and out with ease. Outer edges are rolled and stitched. Dial and window opening are glued and bonded in matching color. Any complaints about scratches to the player from this case are completely unfounded. This is also the best price you'll pay for a quality case. Item was received two days after ordering too, without paying extra for faster shipping.
Case has a belt loop, but lacks the convenience of a clip-on. The edges around the dial opening are a bit close and raised making access to menu and power button inconvenient unless using fingernails to press them. After a week I was able to navigate without problems. Recorder button is below cutout in edge of case which prevents accidental recording. Headphones must be unplugged to remove player, but I seldom had a reason to remove it.
I recommed this case. Item is exactly as shown on the website. Don't by an extra screen protector because it is built in to the case.

Great value, great performance.......2007-09-11
I've never had a problem at all with this model of the player. We have three in my family and every person is ALWAYS using theirs. Reliability is a great feature for a player in this price range.
There are some great features with the Sansa e260 -- on this model long before iPod finally decided to roll out to the Nano a few weeks ago. It's a shame that Apple didn't realize the capability of a 4GB player, with long[er] lasting battery, video, FM tuner, voice record features, etc.
The charge time is really great and, as the other reviewer said, the batteries seem to last a LONG, LONG time.
I've converted several videos for use on this player and have synced countless podcasts and music files with absolutly no worries.
Easy to use, easy on the wallet........2007-02-24
I love my Sansa! Mp3's, videos, pictures, FM tuner and I can record! Excellent. It's also so incredibly simple to use and the battery lasts forever. The expansion card slot is a major plus and of course so is the USB charging cord. If I run it down completely it takes 3 hours to charge fully.
I'd recommend it over iPod any day.
