Suspect in the extreme.......2007-06-16
This is a very average mp3 player indeed. It would seem from the descriptions to have a lot of functionality for a relatively inexpensive device. However the product description gives a false impression.
The storage it is said to have would seem okay, however it begins to seriously wobble once you reach the 200 song mark. After that the songs lose all order in terms of songs from an individual album being grouped together. They then proceed to be spat out in any direction and many songs will simply be deleted.
Also toggling between different functionalities on this device is a nightmare. The buttons are awkward to manipulate and the stick for skipping between songs and changing the volume malfunctions relatively easily.
All in all, even at this budget price, I would not recommend buying this product.

The specifications of this player looked like it was the perfect MP3 player at an excellent price. Resume, FM transmitter and 2GB.
The resume works, sort of, as long as you dont pull out the battery. And then it will tell you - no files found. You have to play with it a little bit, move between voice and music to make it find the files. Didn't Trekstor have a Quality Assurance department?
The FM transmitter doesn't work without headphones attached. Now, why would I want an FM transmitter, if I wanted to attach wires? And even then, the quality is bad.
It wont play in order unless you have the files numbers in the front of the file name, not at the end as files are usually named.

I did a lot of research before selecting the Cebrax FM - it has a lot of great features that weren't available on my previous players, features really useful for listening to podcasts.

I'm sorry, but this unit is a horrible mp3 player. The fm transmitter doesn't have enough power to get into ANY radio I tried, without lots of static, if at all. Also, the battery life is dismal, compared to my iriver. Also the volume doesn't go up loud enough. I'm disappointed and would not recommend this unit.

You get a lot of features for your money with this player - large storage capacity (2 GB) that can also be used for data, a dictation mic, as well as the handy FM transmitter which has a range to fill a large room. It readily clips on a lanyard that I hang around my neck. I'm very satisfied with this TrekStor.

"Died" after finally getting it to work.......2007-10-28
I really wanted to like this player. My favorite colors are in the red "family" and the color black, and this player looked sharp, "cute" and simple. If only it performed as well.
At first it could not detect my computer (I have Windows Vista), so I feared compatibility issues, even though the box indicated it was Vista-ready. Once it finally recognized my laptop, I had to try and learn how to program the thing. Although this was my first mp3 player, I didn't expect it to be that hard to use. But I think the problem was simply that the player is defintitely not user-friendly. I can't tell you how many times I had to revert to the manual to do just about anything. I am not a stupid person by any means; I just found that the player is not very intuitive. You basically have two different buttons to navigate with ("menu" and "mode"), but where you go depends on how LONG you press each button. Pressing quickly brings you to one "place"; pressing a little longer, another. Then once you get to this particular "sub-level", so to speak, you need to navigate THAT level to get to where you truly want to be. I found it overly complicated and tedious.
On the plus side, the earphones are great (soundwise). I have a "regular" pair of Sennheissers, and they can't be beat..however, I find earphone plugs to be rather uncomfortable and sometimes struggle to keep them in my ears. That is a downside, to me.
Anyway..long story short: After spending hours figuring the player out and adding songs and programming the radio, the player suddenly decided to stop working. Tsk..and just when I was thinking I might be able to live with the players idiosyncrasies.
So now the player is on its way back to Amazon, and I've barely had it for 24 hours. I hope anyone else who decides to buy it has a better experience then I did. As for me, if I've learned anything, it's actually that I probably need to get a "bigger" (i.e more memory) player, anyway. ;-)

I had a iRiver T10 1 GB MP3 Player and tossed it in frustration. I purchased this player (TrekStor i.Beat Organix FM 1 GB MP3 Player with FM Tuner) because it behaves like a flash drive - not dependent on Windows Media Player (you can use it, but don't have to.) I use it constantly. It is highly configurable, easy to figure out without the manual, has a long battery life and sounds great. It feels much nicer than the iRiver, the buttons are great. It supports many file formats: MP3, WMA, WAV, OGG, ASF. Best of all it can use DRM but is not a slave to DRM. Next I'm buying the TREKSTOR 67136 Datastation Pocket x.u Portable 160GB Hard Drive & TREKSTOR 12GB USB-Stick CS-D Drive.

Good Mp3 Player.......2007-02-02
I also experienced the problem that two other reveiwers of this product did. Namely, my screen would flash on and off. I tried replacing the batteries and that didn't work. Finally in desperation I turned the device on and pressed the menu button several times in a row. This fixed the problem and I haven't experienced it since! The sound quality on this prodcut is good. With the volume being (for me anyway) more than loud enough. The radio and voice recording are both decent. Overall this was a very good buy for the money.

My experience is exactly as the other reviewer. I used the i.Beat Cebrax FM MP3 player for less than two days and its display quit working. I was able to get a hold of the manufacturer and several phone calls and emails later was told that I needed to return the player and get it replaced. Hopefully the replacement will work!!!

I used the Cebrax MP3 play less than 5 minutes and its display quit working. A few phone calls later we found out that we needed to return the player and get it replaced. Maybe the replacement will last longer...

I just received this. I plugged it into my computer with media player open. Then put the songs in the sync list. Clicked sync. The computer did the rest. Can't get any easier than that. Good sound too. Now those of you with older computers may need to put some extra software on for this, but I don't know. Mine is a 2000. I love this little gadget. It is so small and holds all the songs I want. So if you are looking for a bargain and don't need an overkill of space for songs then this one's for you. One thing to look out for- before installing the battery that comes with it - remove the thin plastc covering it. It is barely noticeable. Company even upgraded shipping at their own expense.

I had a iRiver T10 1 GB MP3 Player and tossed it in frustration. I purchased this player (TrekStor i.Beat Organix FM 1 GB MP3 Player with FM Tuner) because it behaves like a flash drive - not dependent on Windows Media Player (you can use it, but don't have to.) I use it constantly. It is highly configurable, easy to figure out without the manual, has a long battery life and sounds great. It feels much nicer than the iRiver, the buttons are great. It supports many file formats: MP3, WMA, WAV, OGG, ASF. Best of all it can use DRM but is not a slave to DRM. Next I'm buying the TREKSTOR 67136 Datastation Pocket x.u Portable 160GB Hard Drive & TREKSTOR 12GB USB-Stick CS-D Drive.

Nice basic mp3 player.......2007-09-27
While it's not outstanding and can't go shoulder to shoulder with the $100+ players, it does what it's told; mp3 playback is fine and, with a nice headset, the sound quality delivered is up to par with all modern players.
The player doubles as a good USB2 thumbdrive as well, so it's a solid allrounder for all situations. The only letdown is the startup time (around 5 seconds) and the fidgety menu, which takes some getting used to.

This could be a great product, but it is a piece of junk. I bought one and returned it because the earphone jack caused the sound to come on and off. I bought another one from a different vendor, thinking it was unlikely I would get the defect a second time. WRONG. Same exact problem -- the ear phone jack is bad. Now all of a sudden the thing is turning itself off and then on again. And forget about getting ANY help from TrekStor at all. I plan to use this one until it dies, which will likely be next week, because it is too much of an aggravation to return it, but I won't be buying any more TrekStor products.
